Oh, I don't like James Arthur because I think he's quite ugly. Also, that song was kinda cheesy. I'm not a fan of its original version either.. :D

I'd like to see that happenin' #Go "Bang Bang Bang" <3

I'm somewhat disappointed that "I Feed You My Love" left your chart. Was it close to receive Platinum?

When it comes to the album chart, I'm happy to see "Heal" goin' up two places and the comeback for "Native" is nice as well!

Amazing that "Slow Down" has already spent 4 weeks on the top of your chart! - Your Top10 is almost pure perfection and the debut for "Firestarter" impresses me very much!

@ luckyONE
I knew you would like the appearance of "True Love" :) It will rise a bit this week ;)

Yeah, their singles are really good! Actually, i like the whole album, but "If I Lose Myself" and "Counting Stars" are by far the highlights

@ Haribo
Haha, no... well, i started pretty 'late' with watching disney shows like Zach & Cody, Wizards of Waverly Place and Hannah Montana

#ChocolateDay - i like :P

Yes, "Red" finally made it to the charts and will rise even higher this week ;) It will be interesting to see if it will be at number two for the same long time like it was on your charts :P ;)

@ Mainshow
Oh, i don't think he's ugly, well he's not good-looking either but still i wouldn't say he's ugly...
Okay, to be honest i never heard the original in full-length

Well, as i said, it's pretty impossible to see "Bang Bang Bang" back on the charts... but there will be two nice re-entries this week you will like! :D

No, it has just a little bit more than 300 points... still a long way to platinum. but i think it did great :)

Glad you like so many songs! Also, i listened to "Firestarter" due to it's amazing charts succes on your and Era's charts so that's why its charting this week (as i like it a bit!).

Thanks hun <3   Your charts is also one of my faves! :D

Well, it spent thirteen weeks at No. 2 on my former chart. Gonna be hard to reach.

By the way, I checked out Kerli's EP.

Good
"Love Me or Leave Me" (Piano! <3)
"Sugar"
"Walking on Air" (Catchy.)

Okay
"Can't Control the Kids"
"Chemical"
"Supergirl" (Good instrumentation, but overall it's not that great.)
"The Lucky One"

Not for Me
"Army of Two" (Great video, though.)
"Here and Now"
"Kaleidoscope"
"Last Breath"
"Speed Limit"
"Zero Gravity"

I liked her voice, but the music is often too much electronic-oriented for me. :D

Wooohooo so glad you take a listen to Kerli's music!

Nice to know you like at least three songs
"Love Me Or Leave Me" was supposed to be a single but they didn't release it, which is kinda sad :(
Glad you think "Walking On Air" is good as it was the first song i heard from her and probably still remains her best single so far!

Also good to see you think "Can't Control The Kids" is at least 'okay'... Kerli wanted it to be the first single of "Utopia" but the label decided to release "The Lucky Ones" instead :x

Kinda sad to see so many songs are not for you though :(
But so glad you like the video for "Army Of Love"! :D

Well, she changed her style a lot. Her debut album "Love Is Dead" had nearly no electronic-oriented music, it was more 'dark' and kinda rock/pop. Many fans were shocked when she released "Army Of Love" (it was her first dance song) and since then she's releasing more and more dance stuff.

Thank you for taking some time to listen to her music! I really appreciate that and i can't wait to listen to the upcoming album by Beyoncé :D

week 32/2013 – 8 august 2013 Maria Mena is back
    Singles Top40
Norwegian singer-songwriter Maria Mena makes an impressive debut this week with her latest single “I Always Liked That”. Usually doing pop music, the lead single of the upcoming album “Weapon In Mind” has a soft electro beat and so it is a new territory for Maria. It’s already her third chart topper and the third that debuts on top after “I Was Made For Lovin’ You” and “Homeless”. Unfortunately it’s probably already the last week on top, as Katy Perry releases “Roar” next week and Lady GaGa comes with “Applause” a week later, both are set to make a debut on top as well...

Selena ‘slows down’ a bit and falls 1-2 while “Victim Of Ritual” by Tarja rounds up the Top3. Demi Lovato scores her third Top5 hit with “Made In The USA”. After the high debut last week the single improves 9-4 this week. Also increasing is “Red” by Taylor Swift which goes up by 12-5 and becomes her ninth Top10 hit. “Counting Stars” by OneRepublic had massive longevity so far, but after seven weeks in the Top5 it falls 4-6.

Imagine Dragon’s “It’s Time” gets a new peak again as it’s rising 16-14. Their other song called “On Top Of The World” marks their third charts entry at #26. There’s also a new peak for Olly Murs and his “Dear Darlin’” at #16.

It’s probably the case that everybody knows who One Direction is or have at least heard the name. With hits like “What Makes You Beautiful” and “Live While We’re Young” they got some worldwide success, now the boyband just released their new single called “Best Song Ever”. The song comes in at #32 and is their charts debut. A few places lower there are two re-entries. Both songs – “Euphoria” and “Crying Out Your Name” – were pretty big hits for Loreen, especially the first ones. Now, both have their comebacks at #35 and #38.

The biggest climber this week is “The Way” by Ariana Grande feat. Mac Miller (39-31) while the biggest looser is “Thank You Very Much” by Margaret (21-36).

    Album Top20
Still no big competition and so Selena grabs a third consecutive week on top for her album “Stars Dance”. If the album remains on top next week it will tie her debut “Kiss & Tell” which also reigned for four weeks, but it’s still a long way to “A Year Without Rain” (7 weeks) and “When The Sun Goes Down” (10 weeks).

Meanwhile, right behind Selena there’s a little surprise as Lindsey Stirling is increasing a lot this week. The violinist has one of the most successful albums this year with her self-named debut album “Lindsey Stirling”. After leaving the Top10 two weeks ago for the first time, it’s rising 11-2 this week. Rounding up the Top3 is “Halcyon” by Ellie Goulding, which just doesn’t want to die as well and bounces back to the Top3 this week.

Imagine Dragons are having more and more success on the Singles Charts so it’s not a surprise to see the album “Night Visions” rising too. This week, the album re-peaks at number four after it debuted there seven weeks ago. Demi Lovato bounces back to the Top10 with her album “Demi” at #8, meanwhile, after having an amazing chartrun so far, “Dancer And The Moon” by Blackmore’s Night falls 2-9.

There are no new entries again but three re-entries. Taylor Swift’s “Red” comes back at #12 while “Right Place Right Time” by Olly Murs is back at #16 and “The Truth About Love” by P!nk at #19.

    Airplay Top10
While the whole Airplay Top10 was full of songs by Selena Gomez last week, there’s one song that was strong enough to make the charts that’s not by Selena this week. It’s the song “I Always Liked That” by Maria Mena. While the song is making a big debut on the Singles Charts, it debuts at #9 on the Airplay Charts with 28 plays.

There also another debut on the charts at #5, but with “Lover In Me” it’s another album track by Selena Gomez. The most played song remains “Stars Dance” with 46 plays while “Slow Down” remains at number two with 40 plays. Rounding up the Top3 is “Come & Get It”, which climbs 4-3 and comes back to the Top3 for a fourth week.

Plays of the Top10 went down by 94 to 342 (-21.6%) compared to last week.

Maria Mena is a norwegian singer-songwriter who had two big hits in Europe so far with “Just Hold Me” and “All This Time”. The second one was her debut single on my charts and also her most successful one, charting for 15 weeks in the Top10 (back in 2008 there was only a Singles Top10) and it was certified with platinum. The follow-up single and KISS-Cover “I Was Made For Lovin’ You” and the lead single for her last album called “Homeless” were two number one hits, both getting certified with Gold.

After two years Maria Mena will release her sixth album called “Weapon In Mind” next month. The leadsingle is called “I Always Liked That” and just topped the charts this week. It will be interesting to watch the charts performance for the album as the previous one called “Viktoria” topped the charts for three weeks and was certified with platinum.

1 (NEW) Maria Mena – I Always Liked That
I haven't heard this one yet, but I bet it's good because Maria's stuff usually is.

2 (1) Selena Gomez – Slow Down *G*
My favourite Selena song since 2009. Shame that the lyrics are stupid though.

8 (5) Selena Gomez – Come & Get It *G*

17 (18) Carrie Underwood – See You Again *G*
Not Carrie's best, but great stuff still, as always.

A highlight of 2013!

22 (23) Emmelie De Forest – Only Teardrops *G*

"Wooohooo" You thought I wasn't going to check it out? Ha! 8-)

Three songs is a lot on first play. It's beyond rare I enjoy songs when I first hear them. :o

They shoulda released "Love Me or Leave Me". :x

Do you have a favorite track off her first album? I'll check that track out. :D

I hope you'll check it out. 8-) You can take your time since she's taking her time, anyway.

This week's chart. I checked out your number, and it was cute. Not my kind of music (I don't really have any kind of music, to be honest - I like liking new stuff, especially alternative even though it's rare, lol), but it wasn't really bad. :D I thought "Red" was #2 when I saw the image. You love it? Is it your favorite off the album? Nice to see "Best Song Ever" debut. It's far from being the best song ever, but it's cute.

Good to see Red re-enter the Top Albums even though #18 is still low. Did you buy it? The Truth About Love has an awful run, by the way. :o

Is that normal some certifications are presented like this *2xP" instead of *2xP*?

@ taraella
Thanks for your comment!
Glad to see you like so many songs here!

You need to listen to the new song by Maria then. It's really great!

@ Haribo
Haha :P

Okay, so good to know then :)
Yeah they should but they won't release something in the future as she's in the middle of leaving the label...

Oh that's hard... i love "Walking On Air" but you already listened to the song... i also love "Fragile", "Bulletproof" and "Love Is Dead" are amazing as well.

Haha true. I'm actually a bit excited for her upcoming album and hope she'll release it this year!

Glad you think it's cute ;) Do you know her / other songs from her or was it the first time listening to Maria? ;)
Haha no... i always put a big picture of the number one and the second picture isn't the #2, it's usually the highest new entry (if inside the top10) or the highest climber (also if in the Top10).
Yes, i really like it. Actually, it's one of the better tracks of the album, but "I Knew You Were Trouble." is by far by fave of the album.
Yes, it's cute and so is the music video of "Best Song Ever" ;)

I bought it, actually i own every album on my album charts as only albums i own are eligible to chart ;)
But, to be honest, there were like one or two exceptations in the past (the one i know is "Curiosity EP" by Carly Rae Jepsen)
Well, i'm not that into "The Truth About Love" and i think it's overrated. The singles are nice though

No, it's not normal! Thanks, i never saw it! I'll change it for the next charts... thanks! ;)

@ CrazyCrazy
Haha, to be honest it's very unlikely. I liked both songs from there so far but usually only current songs and albums are on the charts so it'll be hard for her... but maybe she has a chance if there will be some more amazing tracks ;)

week 33/2013 – 15 august 2013 Katy Perry Vs. Lady GaGa
    Singles Top40
Do you guys remember last autumn? There was a week when the new singles by Ke$ha, Lana Del Rey AND Rihanna debuted in the same week. While “Ride” made it to number one, “Diamonds” only got #2 and “Die Young” #3 (but topped the charts later due to the album release). It was an amazing week music wise and this week it’s nearly the same if not even better.

Time flies by too fast. It’s already over a year since the last appearance of Katy Perry. Her last single “Wide Awake” was a good hit in 2012 peaking at #2 and being in the Top3 for four weeks. After eight singles in total, her last era was without any doubts pop perfection. Now she released the first single for her upcoming third album “Prism”. The single is called “Roar” and makes its debut this week.

Another huge pop lady also released her single this week – Lady GaGa! While the single should have been released a week later, GaGa decided to release it earlier due to leaks. “Applause” is the first single of her upcoming (also third) album “ARTPOP” and her first charts appearance since “Marry The Night” nearly two years ago. And who makes it to the top? Well, it’s Lady GaGa! “Applause” is already her 9th number one single out of fifteen charting singles in total. So Katy’s “Roar” isn’t on top and even more shocking should be the fact that the single ‘only’ debuts at #3 this week, even behind last weeks chart topper “I Always Liked That” by Maria Mena. Interesting fact: Katy Perry made her charts debut exactly five years ago, week 33/2008, with “I Kissed A Girl” at #2.

The rest of the Top10 is a bit less spectacular. Most songs only loose a few places due to the two new entries. One thing to mention is probably the fact that “Slow Down” by Selena Gomez already spends its tenth week in the Top5.

There’s a third new entry and a re-entry outside the Top10. The new entry comes in at #18; it’s the song “The Other Side” by Jason DeRulo. While the US singer had several worldwide hits over the last few years, it’s his first charting song. The re-entry comes back at #20 and it’s “Firestarter” by Samantha Jade, which previously appeared on the charts for one week at #34 two weeks ago.

The biggest climber this week is “Euphoria” by Loreen (35-32) while the biggest looser is “Dear Darlin’” by Olly Murs (16-25).

    Album Top20
”Stars Dance” celebrates its fourth week on top and is now tied with “Kiss & Tell”, the debut album by Selena Gomez (then including The Scene). While the rise of Lindsey Stirling was the biggest surprise last week, the album remains pretty stable and goes down one place to number three this week. But like she did last week there’s another album which gains a lot this week. It’s “Heal” by Loreen. After it celebrated its 40th week on the charts just a week ago it rises 13-2 now. There were only two weeks when the album was higher or at the same place, both last year.

While Ciara has currently no hit on the Singles Charts, her album still manages to get a new peak with rising 6-4. That’s mostly due to the song “Overdose”, which makes its debut on the Airplay Top10 this week.

Despite being born to die, the so-called album by Lana Del Rey don’t want to die and rises one place to #13. It’s already charting for 73 weeks – longer than any other album! There are two re-entries this week and while they aren’t charting as long as Lana, both are two of the most successful albums on my charts ever. Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” comes back at #12 while “The Fame” by Lady GaGa re-enters the charts at #15.

    Airplay Top10
After three weeks (nearly) full of songs from “Stars Dance” by Selena Gomez, there are three new entries this week not by Selena and so her power is fading a little bit. Three songs of her album are out this week (“Lover In Me”, “Nobody Does It Like You” and “B.E.A.T.”) but there are still six in.

The highest entry comes in at number one and is the same entry like on the Singles Top40: Lady GaGa with “Applause”! LastFM messed something up, while it said i scrobbled the track 128 times yesterday, it just added one play. I was so sassy at this point and counted the other 127 manually and the song now has 151 plays (while on LastFM it still has something like 26 despite the fact that it should have 151!)... and with 151 plays it’s a new record surpassing the previous highest weekly plays of 146 plays by Ellie Goulding and “Burn”.

The second highest entry is just one place below and could be a huge surprise. I never was into R&B star Ciara but i bought her current self-titled album “Ciara”... and while the singles aren’t the best songs, i really adore one song: “Overdose”! It was my song at the gym over the last week and got 54 plays through that, enough to get a high debut. Finally, the third and last entry – Katy Perry’s “Roar” – comes in at #4 with 31 plays.

Maria Mena’s “I Always Liked That” is also blocking Katy here from a better place as it’s rising 9-3 in its second week on the Airplay Top10. Last weeks number one “Stars Dance” by Selena Gomez falls down to #6 and so is “Slow Down” her highest charting song at #5.

Plays of the Top10 went up by 67 to 409 (+19.6%) compared to last week.

With only two albums so far, Katy already had a lot of big hits in the last five years. While the first two singles already peaked pretty high she had to struggle with longevity but finally with the second single of her second album, both called “Teenage Dream”, she showed that she can also have some longevity.

The album is one of the most successful ever on my charts and spent incredible 63 weeks in the Top10, nine of them on top. Even after the release of “Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection” there were some weeks when the original charted higher. The next album called “Prism” is set for a october release and without huge competition a number one debut should be sure.

As of the end of 2012, GaGa was the singer with most points under the old rule. She had huge hits and huge albums on the charts. While she was on her peak in 2009/2010 with songs like “Paparazzi”, “Bad Romance” and “Telephone” from her debut album, she also got some number one singles with her second album “Born This Way”.

This week her new single called “Applause” debuted on top of the Singles Top40 becoming her ninth number one single. It will be interesting to see how her third album “ARTPOP” will do as her last album underperformed a little bit compared to “The Fame” and “The Fame Monster”.

Wow, you too, I love Maria Mena, especially here fifth studio album 'Viktoria' and single 'Homeless'. <3

I thought 'F*** You' was the first single of 'Weapon In Mind'? Anyway, I can't wait for it to come out.

Wow! I didn't see that flawless, bombastic and epic update for "Heal" coming!! That is really my favourite part of your chart! I'm still in love with the album and I just bought tickets for her concert in Cologne today! Will she do a concert in Switzerland as well?

Also, I was shocked to learn that "Firestarter" had to leave the chart after its first week. That's why I'm deliriously happy to see it re-entering & even gettin' a new peak this week! Hopefully, it can stay on your chart for a while.

Your number-one is fine with me, although I have to say that I'm quite disappointed. I was hopin' to get an innovative song by GaGa this time, but it seems that she hasn't changed a lot over the past few months. However, the song's verses are fierce (personally, I think that the chorus lacks somethin' new).

Don't like the drops for "We Got The Power" & "Dear Darlin'", though.

@ elvenOCEAN
I thought "F*** You" was only a promo single?
Glad you love Maria! It's rare to see someone else charting her here so i'm glad i'm not the only one who likes her :)

Can't wait for the album as well. I'm sure it will be great!

@ Mainshow
Well, over the last two weeks i listened a lot to the whole album so it was clear to see the rise :) I just realised again that the album is flawless and probably one of the best albums over the last few years (for me). She's also battling in the Album Cup in the Games section here as i suggested her album so i had to listen to it again
I didn't know she's making a little tour now but i just saw it today on her homepage! But i probably won't go to her concert though...
I really hope she'll release new stuff pretty soon - i need it!

"Firestarter" was stuck in my head since i heard it for the first time and now i can't get it out of my head - i wouldn't say the song is amazing or so but i can't explain why it's stuck in my head... i think you can expect even a little rise next week! I'm thinking about of downloading it to be honest :)

Many people are disppointed by "Applause" but personally i really like it and it's probably even better than all singles from "Born This Way". What's your favorite GaGa single so far?

Actually it looks like "Dear Darlin'" will rise next week ;)
Glad you like so many songs here! :D

@ taraella
I'm sure you'll like "Roar" if you'll hear it for the first time :)

Glad you like so many songs here again. And to be honest i already listened to your cover of "Firestarter" a week ago and it's really good! :D

I'll check out those three tracks off her first album.

Nope, I never heard of Maria before. She's damn tall! :o :x

This week's chart. Great number one! And great debut for Katy Perry! "Red" already falling? What're your certifications thresholds?

Love to see Katy & Gaga discographies! Katy would've had quite similar peaks if I hard a chart before (except for "E.T." (would've had no success in 2011) & "Last Friday Night" (would've smashed hard in 2011)). :D

"LoveGame" more successful than "Poker Face"? :-? I remember you told me about "Poker Face" not having a huge success despite your love for it, but though! "Poker Face" would've been waaay more successful than "LoveGame" in 2009 for me. "Paparazzi" had a great longevity! You know, if I had a chart in 2009, it would've spent many weeks at No. 2; a bit like "Red". "Bad Romance" spent seven weeks on top? Huge. Damn, I love it, it's amazing, but I can't get into it as much as most peple do. :( OMG, so Bey reached No. 1 on your chart.   What was "Telephone" rank on the 2010 year-end chart? Loving "Alejandro" success too. 8-) Good run for "Born This Way". Disappointing run for "Judas". Good for "The Edge of Glory" too which would've seemed to flop on me back to 2011. :-?

Loved this! Thanks a lot! :D
