I don't know. In July, I thought it'd have been okay by September. But I'm not sure, yet. :(

Ew at the number one. I like "It's My Party". :( I'll check out a few tunes.

Britney has a lot of #2's.

Don't laugh! - I'm furious... "Gimme More", "Piece Of Me", "Radar", "If U Seek Amy".... all these amazing tracks didn't get that #1, but cheesy, trashy "I Wanna Go" spent three consecutive weeks on top of Tansike's chart? :o - Speechless I am!

However, I'm glad that "Work Bitch" was able to get that number-one spot in its very first week. I am also happy about "Firestarter"'s improvement. Oh, and "Euphoria"'s chart-run is impressive! 61 wks! :o

I love your chart!
I have kind of the same feeling for Brit's singles. I really like the ones from FF more than the ones from Blackout and Circus.
Or, better said: The ones from FF I still love, the ones from the other two albums I hyped in the first moment, but didn't really feel the desire to listen to them after half a year as much as I do with the FF singles.

I still listen to them, just not as much as to FF singles :)

FF > Blackout > Circus :)

However, ALL or amazing! Go Godney!

Awesome Top 2! I'm still feeling mixed emotions over "Work Bitch" but it's always great to see Britney at #1 though, unfortunately, that meant denying Miley a fourth consecutive week at #1. Bittersweet week. :(

The rest of the chart is terrific too. Nice to see someone still charting "Only Teardrops" and oh gosh, Sven has competition with "Euphoria".

Franklin’s music profoundly touched and changed the world, because over and over it offered that bridge to salvation, to freedom.

thanks so much for all comments! It was a busy week for me at the work so I haven’t time to comment your comments. But I will do the on the weekend, but for now I just post the new charts so it’s not delayed again. But yeah, I will comment your comments, don’t worry! ;) Thanks!

week 39/2013 – 26 september 2013 Album entries by Birdy, Jessie J, Icona Pop & Maria Mena
    Singles Top40
After only one week, Britney’s “Work Bitch” falls down to number two. Back on top is “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus. The power-pop-ballad tops the Singles Top40 for a fourth non-consecutive week and is just the second song to do so this year after fellow-disney princess Selena Gomez and the song “Slow Down”. There’ll be a huge new release tomorrow so a fifth week on top is nearly impossible, at least for the next week…

Rounding up the Top3 this week is Maria Mena. Her album release pushes the single “I Always Liked That” insanely as it rises 22-3. It debuted and topped the charts earlier this year and is now back in the Top3 for a fourth week. The song “F*** You” was released as the previous single but never made the charts, until this week as it arrives at #8.

After the debut last week, “Hunter & Prey” by Emmelie De Forest falls one place to number four. Avicii’s “Wake Me Up” rises 7-5 this week and comes back to the Top5 after ten weeks. Meanwhile, the songs “Victim Of Ritual” by Tarja (4-6) and “Human Race” by Margaret Berger (5-7) loses two places. Finally, there’s already a second new entry at #9 as Empire Of The Sun’s “DNA” debuts there. It’s the second single of their number one album “Ice On The Dune” and the follow-up to the Top3-hit “Alive”.

The last song in the top10 is Birdy’s “Wings”. Despite the album release the single falls 6-10.

There were a lot new entries outside the Top10 as well. The song “Cups” from the movie Pitch Perfect comes in at #20 and marks the charts debut for US actress Anna Kendrick. The song was a huge hit in the US earlier this year. A little bit lower, Icona Pop’s third single called “All Night” arrives. It’s their worst debut so far as “I Love It” debuted at #3 and “Girlfriend” at #22. Newcomer Lorde from New Zealand debuts at #29 with the track “Royals” while “Wild” by Jessie J arrives at #31 due to the album release. Finally, the last debut comes in at 34. It’s called “Dark Horse” and is a promotional single by Katy Perry. After the disappointing success of “Roar” the debut of “Dark Horse” is even worse, but it could rise next week.

The already mentioned “I Always Liked That” by Maria Mena is the highest climber this week. After the debut last week, Olly Murs’ “Right Place Right Time” falls 17-30 and it the biggest loser this week together with “Give It 2 U” by Robin Thicke (20-33).

    Album Top20
It was one of the busiest week of the year so far. Four new entries in the Top10 are arriving this week, that’s very rarely for the Album Top20. The highest one comes in on top and is called “Weapon In Mind”. It’s the new album by norwegian singer Maria Mena and the follow-up to “Viktoria”, which debuted at number one exact in the same week two years ago. With this, she ends the consecutive run on top for fellow-scandinavian Tarja and her “Colours In The Dark”, which falls down to number two – still a very good position considering all the new entries.

Closing up the Top3 is already the second highest new entry. After the huge success with the single “People Help The People”, the self-named debut album by Birdy was a success as well, peaking at number two on the album charts and got certified with platinum. Now the young singer released her second official album called “Fire Within” and arrives at #3. Ellie Goulding remains stable as her “Halcyon Days” falls 3-4 this week.

After Norway (Maria Mena) and Finland (Tarja), there’s another scandinavian act with swedish duo Icona Pop at number five. They debut with their album “This Is...” which contains the singles “I Love It”, “Girlfriend” and the current one “All Night”. Taking in account that it was a busy week and they’re still newcomers, the debut is more than okay.

A busy week and no single success so far... it wasn’t Jessie J’s year so far. While she got hit after hit two years ago, her second album and follow-up to the #1-success “Who You Are” called “Alive” makes a disappointing debut at #7 this week.

Avicii’s “True” slips 2-6, Ariana Grande’s “Yours Truly” goes down 4-8 and Tarja’s “My Winter Storm” falls 5-9. Finally, at the bottom of the Top10, there’s a little comeback as Emmelie De Forest’s “Only Teardrops” rises 13-10. After Maria Mena, Tarja and Icona Pop already the fourth scandinavian act in the Top10 (Denmark).

So a few Top10-albums fall out of them, for example “Stars Dance” by Selena Gomez (6-12) and “Utopia” by Kerli (9-13), both are for the first time outside the Top10. Finally, the last thing to mention is the drop-out of “Born To Die” by Lana Del Rey. The album by the US-singer falls out of the album charts after incredible 78 weeks.

    Airplay Top10
Maria Mena’s album is also making an impact on the Airplay Top10 this week. The album track “All The Love” got incredible 133 plays over the last week, that’s a sure debut on top for the song. Another song from the album called “You’re Not Telling Stories” debuts at #4 with 40 plays while the single “I Always Liked That” re-enters the airplay charts at number six.

After the debut last week “Work Bitch” also falls 1-2 like on the singles charts. “Wrecking Ball” is rounding up the Top3 as it falls 2-3 in its fifth week in the Top3.

A big surprise comes in at number five. The song “Escapist” by Nightwish was released on the live CD “Made In Hong Kong” in 2009 but it never was a single. This week, the song appears on the Airplay Top10 with 33 plays as one of my most favorite song by the finnish symphonic metal group.

Tarja’s force is starting to fade this week. Chart-topper “Mystique Voyage” falls 6-7, “Deliverance” goes down 7-8, the upcoming second single “500 Letters” falls 3-9 while “Victim Of Ritual” goes down 9-10. The four tracks “Until Silence”, “Neverlight”, “Darkness” and “Lucid Dreamer” still got many plays, but not enough for the Top10 this week.

Plays of the Top10 went up by 63 to 479 (+15.1%) compared to last week.

Although I'm itred of the song, it's great to see Wrecking Ball on top!
Haven't really heard much from Maria Mena (except one average song and her beautiful Xmas song), might listen to some of her stuff soon. :D
Kind of odd to see 'Cups' getting into the chart out of nowhere! :o

I have to mention again that I totally love your discography feature! - I have to admit that I'm a bit too lazy or too busy to do that, but it looks great and it's a nice thing to see the success of the other tracks/singles of a same artist. Keep up that good work!

I absolutely love your Top2 and if you take a closer look to my chart this evening, you'll see why ;)
It's also great to see that you give Eurovision artist after the event some love. Do you know that Emmelie has cancelled her whole dates in Germany, Austria & Switzerland due to "Recording/Songwriting Sessions"? - That's a pretty stupid reason to mention, if you ask me.

Glad to see that "Dear Darlin'", "Firestarter", "We Got The Power" are still part of your chart, although I secretly hope that the first two tracks will become hits :D

Sorry - i'm late! :-?
But as for now, here are my answers to your comments from last weeks charts - i will answer your comments for the current charts later!

Haribo wrote:I don't know. In July, I thought it'd have been okay by September. But I'm not sure, yet. :(

Ew at the number one. I like "It's My Party". :( I'll check out a few tunes.

Britney has a lot of #2's.
Okay, no problem. But you need to know that i really like (and with WB on top love!) your charts! :)

 Well, as you already saw it's no longer number one. Don't you like "Work B**ch" that much? Which ones will you check? :P

But also lots of #1 ;)

Don't laugh! - I'm furious... "Gimme More", "Piece Of Me", "Radar", "If U Seek Amy".... all these amazing tracks didn't get that #1, but cheesy, trashy "I Wanna Go" spent three consecutive weeks on top of Tansike's chart? :o - Speechless I am!

However, I'm glad that "Work Bitch" was able to get that number-one spot in its very first week. I am also happy about "Firestarter"'s improvement. Oh, and "Euphoria"'s chart-run is impressive! 61 wks! :o

I'm surprised you don't like "I Wanna Go" so much :o Don't hate me, buuuuuut iMO it's even the best song of FF
But i have to say that "Blackout" was my first album by the pop princess, so while i knew her music, i wasn't a fan back then, so these #2 are still pretty impressive. As for now, a #1 is often pretty sure (as long as it's not a "Ooh La La" which never entered the charts )

Glad you like so many other songs here - as always ;)

Kai wrote:I love your chart!
Thank you so much! :D

Well, i just still think - for example - that "Gimme More" isn't as good as most fans say, the same with "Piece Of Me", "Womanizer", "Circus" etc. but i still enjoy other singles like "If U Seek Amy" and "Break The Ice" is probably my most favorite Britney-single ever

Falsetto wrote:OMG... another #1 for 'Work Bitch' - really nice to see that!
Glad you like it!

JSparksFan wrote:Awesome Top 2!

I probably feel the same. Actually, "Work Bitch" was a blast at first listen but got old really fast... so i have mixed feelings as well and it could be one of her weakest singles ever.

 yeah, "Euphoria" won't die here 8-)

Good to see "Royals", "Wild", and "Dark Horse" debut! Such a flop for Katy Perry with "Roar". I really think your certifications thresholds are too high. I mean, you don't really need that high thresholds considering you have a multi gold/platinum service. :) Just my opinion!

Wait, you never charted "Skinny Love"?

Did you check out Jessie J's new album? If so, what do you think about it?

"Price Tag" flopped here. :(

Oh which 'average' song have you heard by Maria? Actually i never heard her Xmas song
Well, i listened to it for the first time around a week ago and i liked it on first listen, that's why "Cups" entered the charts so late.

Glad you like so many songs here! :D

Thank you so much! So glad to know you like it!
Well, i think it's really good to see how some other songs charted, especially for 'older' artists on my charts.

I already saw why ;) ;) (and gonna comment there later!) But glad we share the same Top2 8-)
Yes, i read it on facebook... it's a shame and i don't get the reason why she cancelled the whole tour. I mean, as an artist the tour is probably the most important thing! But oh well...

"Dear Darlin'" is already a hit ;) But i know what you mean... and it looks not good for it...

Haha you have the same top 2 as Mainshow ;p
I like that you put so much effort in your chart every week! =) But wtf where have you got all that time from? :P
I know :P
Glad you like so many songs here! :D
And thank you :) Well, i don't have the time actually  i do most stuff at the work

Love your TOP 2 :P
And nice new-entry for Cups :)
Oh don't worry, i was also late with my comment on your charts ;) :P

Glad you love the Top2 & "Cups" :)

Haribo wrote:Good to see "Royals", "Wild", and "Dark Horse" debut!

Glad you like these new entries! :)
 Yeah, "Roar" kinda flopped so far, maybe the album release can change that soon? :)
You think so? Well, as for the albums it's probably ok, but you're right for the singles. Sometimes it's pretty hard to reach platinum. But i let it as it is right now, maybe i'll change it next year ;) But i have to say that i won't make it too easy to get a cert...

No, "Skinny Love" never made a charts appearance  But it should have.... :-?

Yes, i even bought "Alive"! :) Well, to be honest, i was pretty disappointed. I really liked "Who You Are" and most tracks on it, but "Alive" has mostly forgettable pop songs, nothing outstanding or special :-?
Do you like the album? I saw your charting "Gold" very high on your charts... so i guess it's your favorite song of the album?

I never understand its success, i prefered the other singles more

Too many great songs in one place. Wrecking Ball is now with When I Look At You my favorite song of Miley. Really shows her vocals unlike most of songs on Bangerz. I Always Liked That deservedly got gold certification. At first I didn't like it as much as I liked some of her past songs, but now I understand why they chose it for a single. Human Race, F**k You, Applause, Victim of Ritual, Roar, Royals, Wild, We Got The Power, Dark Horse & Dear Darlin' are amazing as well. I'm surprised to see how long Euphoria managed to stay in top 40. Too bad Only Teardrops fall out. :-( Not to long ago I started listening to it again and now can't stop. Can't believe my favorites won two years in a row. :-D Still, I'm waiting on Iceland to win. Yohanna was very close... She should've won. Both the song and performance were beyond perfect. :-(

Agree with "Wrecking Ball", it's such an amazing ballad and shows her vocals. So you heard the other tracks from "Bangerz"? I still wait for my CD tomorrow - but i can't wait! 8-) Do you like it?

I think "I Always Liked That" was a very good choice for a single, so it's kinda sad to see it flopping :-? Have you heard some other songs from the album? Didn't know you like "Victim Of Ritual" too :o - that's great! :D

Haha yeah, "Euphoria" just won't get old. Cool... i just listened to "Only Teardrops" yesterday after a while again too and it grew on me again. Maybe it can re-enter the charts, but it will be hard. Yeah, my faves were Denmark & Sweden as well this and last year 8-) Well, Iceland had some nice numbers over the last few years and yeah, Yohanna's song was breathtaking! But i liked Alexander also a bit more back then... Yohanna should have participated in another year then she would have won the contest easily...

Same here. I cannot wait to go the my favourite CD store at 11am or somethin' to buy it! Hopefully, it will be great!

Oh, and "I Wanna Go" is your favourite on Femme Fatale?! :o :o - I see why ppl like this track (since it's quite catchy because of the whistles and stuff, but I don't like her voice on that track, especially in the chorus.. it's too pitched, she sounds like Mickey Mouse on that on).
