Yeah I wasn't so much in to Shakira in 2009 so I didn't listen to her album... But you should check out my charts this week then ;)

Great to see that Wrecking Ball has the same longevity on your charts!

Nice re-entry for I Need Your Love.

The longevity for "Wrecking Ball" is just astonishing!
Great re-entry for "Dark Horse" although I don't feel the song that much (for now).
Great to see Ed Sheeran returning into the Top 5 and great jump for Lorde's "Team"! Such an amazing song.
"Demons" is also Holding on pretty well, but kinda sad to see "Thunder" falling quite a few places this week.
It's amazing to see "Burn" still in the Top 25 in ist 30th week charting. It's such an amazing song, I love it a lot.

YAY for "Halcyon Days" jumping back to #2 this week. 8-)
"Night Visions" is the Top 10 and "PRISM" returning there this week is really good, too.

It really is! :D
I also didn't feel it when it was released but now i got into it again due to overplaying it a bit  It's really cool and her best single this era BY FAR (in my opinion of course). It's so nice to see it getting some success in Europe too :)
Glad you like these songs.
Oh i guess "Thunder" will fall even more this week, but it's still her biggest hit of the era by far. It's a shame it wasn't a moderate success in Europe at least :-?
Agreed, love it too and glad you love it too :)

Yeah, such an amazing album! I got into it again :D
Same for these two albums :)

Whoa at Rihanna's success on your chart! :o Lovely to see! It's just a shame that nothing from her first album managed to impact your chart. People tend not to appreciate it, but I that her album had some really solid songs, my favourite of which is the light, breezy, soothing title track.

Decent #1. It was cute for a few plays, but I don't think it's definitely below the talents of the girls involved. Hot music video though! Yay for the debuts for "Young Girls", "White Walls", and "Happy".

^ glad to see you like so many songs and thanks for comment, but you commented on the false charts my dear. There are already two newer charts then the one you commented :)

Anyway, always glad to have your comment here :D

Also, Riri didn't got a hit out of her first album because my 'official' charts started in 2007, so after the release of her debut album. I already made one earlier and i still remember that "Pon De Replay" was a pretty big hit and "SOS" even bigger, but unfortunately i threw them away :(

thanks so much for all comments

week 06/2014 – 6 february 2014 danser avec l’Hydra
    Singles Top40
Two exciting things happened last week, and no i’m not talking about the Grammies or the Super Bowl with Bruno Mars. Both of these (huge) events had no impact on my charts this week. The two events i’m talking about are the release of the new album by dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation and the Estonian Music Awards 2014.

Both of these events had no influence on this weeks number one though as french singer Indila rises 8-1 with her debut single “Dernière danse”. It’s already the sixth chart topper of the year – in the sixth week of the year! Miley’s “Wrecking Ball” slips 1-2 which is nothing to be sad about in its 24th charting week. Rounding up the Top3 is the first song which benefited from one of the two mentioned events. “Paradise (What About Us?)” was released as the first single of “Hydra”, the sixth studio album by Within Temptation. The song was a good success last year and topped the weekly charts for two weeks. This week the song is coming back to the Top3 at #3.

Katy Perry and Juicy J’s “Dark Horse” falls 2-4 after its surprising high re-entry last week. Another surprising thing is one place below. Ellie Goulding’s ballad “How Long Will I Love You” peaked at a good #3 very early, but the hit maker seemed to fail to get another huge hit with that song as it fell pretty fast. This week the song recovers a lot as it rises 20-5 – its second highest placement so far. Lily Allen’s “Hard Out Here” is down 3-6 in its third week, Miley Cyrus’ “Adore You” decreases 4-7 while Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire” falls 5-8. Another entry by Within Temptation is at #9 as the current second single called “Dangerous” rises 17-9 due to the album release. The last song of the Top10 is tyDi and Kerli’s “Stardust” (6-10).

Birdy is up 15-11 with “Light Me Up” in its third week, getting a new peak again. Maybe it will be her third consecutive Top10 hit next week. Helene Fischer’s “Atemlos durch die Nacht” loses a lot of places this week and leaves the Top10 for the first time after four pretty good weeks by falling 10-20.

Just outside the Top20 there’s a re-entry by One Direction, as the “Story Of My Life” is back at #21. With this comeback it becomes their highest-charting single ever, outpeaking “Best Song Ever” (#30). Another re-entry comes back only three places lower at #24. The second event i mentioned on the beginning was the Estonian Music Awards. Kerli, who is Estonian, was nominated for two awards (Best Female Album and Best Pop Album; both for “Utopia”) and also performed a medley of “Zero Gravity”, “Army Of Love” and “Love Me Or Leave Me”. Due to this the singer gets a few entries this week with the highest being “Zero Gravity”, which is back – as mentioned – at #24. Her other performed song “Army Of Love” is also back a bit lower at #27 with “Walking On Air” re-enter the charts at #39.
So this week there are no new entries, which is pretty rare, but after all there are five re-entries.

A huge milestone goes to Lindsey Stirling as her hit “Crystallize” is charting for 52 weeks now – an entire year!

The biggest climber is Ellie Goulding’s “How Long Will I Love You” while the biggest loser is Beyoncé’s “XO” (23-36).

.
    Album Top20
The two events which I mentioned on the singles charts also have an influence on the Album Top20 this week. Pretty expected, Within Temptation’s sixth album “Hydra” debuts on top, becoming their second number one album on my charts. Their last album “The Unforgiving” hit number one in its second week as it debuted at number two behind Britney Spears’ “Femme fatale”.

Miley Cyrus’ “Bangerz” slips 1-2 in its 18th week on the charts, ending a four-week-run at number one. Rounding up the Top3 is Kerli. Her second record “Utopia” is up again, this week 6-3, which is due to the second mentioned event – the Estonian Music Awards. While “Utopia” was nominated for two awards, Kerli didn’t win any of them, but she performed a medley of her songs.

Ellie Goulding is down 2-4 with “Halcyon Days”. Tarja’s “Colours In The Dark” is back in the Top10 as it rises 11-5, so she benefits from the symphonic metal reign of this week too. Lady GaGa’s “ARTPOP” falls out of the Top3 (3-6). Below her there’s Kerli’s debut album “Love Is Dead” which also benefits from her performance and it’s up 13-7. While Katy Perry’s “Prism” remains pretty stable (7-8), the soundtrack of ‘The Hobbit’ falls 5-10 after five surprisingly stable weeks.

The last album in the Top10 is a second new entry, as the third album by UK boy band One Direction called “Midnight Memories” arrives at #9. It’s their first entry ever on the album charts as their first two album never debuted here.

Within Temptation’s release of “Hydra” haves an even bigger impact than expected, as the band gets some other entries outside the Top10. Their last album “The Unforgiving” is back at #11 while fourth album “The Heart Of Everything” debuts at #16 and their second album “Mother Earth” is new at #19.

    Airplay Top10
The expected happened as the Airplay Top10 is full of songs by Within Temptation this week. While Miley had lots of entries last week, all of her songs leave the charts this time, even her never-dying “Wrecking Ball”. Only one song in the Top10 isn’t by Within Temptation and it’s on the top of the charts. It’s actually the same chart leader like on the Singles Top40 as Indila rises 3-1 with her hit “Dernière danse”.

The highest entry for the dutch band is their single “Paradise (What About Us?)” together with Tarja, which previously topped the Airplay Top10 in 2013 and re-enters at #2. The ballad “Edge Of The World” is their highest new entry at #3.

Another collaboration of the album is “And We Run” with the surprising guest star Xzibit which comes in at #4. Their second single “Dangerous” got another 29 plays last week and it’s back at #5.

With the release of “Paradise (What About Us?)” as the first single, Within Temptation also released demo tracks of three songs. The final versions of these three songs are now on the album and all of them are charting this week too with “Silver Moonlight” at #6 (Demo peaked at #2), “Dog Days” at #9 (Demo peaked at #4) and “Let Us Burn” at #10 (Demo peaked at #5).

Their last two songs on the charts are “Covered By Roses” at #7 and their cover of “Radioactive”, the biggest hit of Imagine Dragons so far, at #8. The original peaked at #4 on the Airplay Top10 in 2013.

Plays of the Top10 went up by 109 to 386 (+39.5%) compared to last week.

Great #1!
I'm afraid it's in the lower end of my chart, but you know: I really love each song on my chart - if there is a song that I am not 100% convinced of, it won't show up there, so I still have strong love for our sweet Indila and love that you contribute so many points for her on the UK Mix Parade! There are currently really a lot of great songs out :)

Interesting, I am not very hyped for Beyoncé either at the moment...

"Wrecking Ball" isn't goin' to die soon, is it? - Its 24 weeks on your chart is impressive and it's still your current #2! - I love to see "Paradise" re-enter your chart at #3! - There's another coincidence concerning our charts ;)

When it comes to "Dark Horse", I have to say that it was my favourite track when I listened to "PRISM" for the very first time but I have to admit that it got pretty old very fast. Not interested in that song at all anymore :(

"Adore You" is doin' great as well - I'm not crazy about it anymore either but it's a great album opener. Btw, did you watch Miley Cyrus: Unplugged?

Love to see "Hydra" ruling your Airplay + Album Chart! It seems that we have the same favourites this time. I absolutely adore "Edge Of The World" (it's climatic structure is stunning) + "And We Run" (I didn't think that Hip-Hop & Metal would work xD But here it is... an unexpected masterpiece).

I just bought a ticket for their upcoming tour. Hopefully, they are goin' to play both songs!

If you'll check it out please let me know what you think about it. It's really great and currently smashing in the french-speaking countries.
Yes, i guess "Wrecking Ball" won't die soon. Every time when i hear the song after 2-3 days i fall in love with it again. Especially the first few seconds are SO touching.
Great to see you like these other entries.

First of all i need to say that i listen to the Top20 of my own charts every week, so i usually hear the song at least once a week.
But while doing this, it started to get boring that's why it fell some positions over the last weeks.
But last week i was in the car and listened to the radio... suddenly they played "How Long Will I Love You". It was still dark outside, 6.30 in the morning and the song was somehow so magical... don't know, it's strange to tell it but it was just a magical moment and i listened to every single word she sang and it sounded SO beautiful. And that's why it jumped this week. :D

I have the same things too sometimes. It's hard to rank the Top10 as i love the #10 too but sometimes it's compeltely different and there's a #1 which i don't like as much as a #10 in another week (is that understandable? )

Yeah, the album isn't as good as expected...

No it seems like it isn't  Still love it.
Glad you like "Paradise"' return to the Top3 - after hearing the album it grew on me again and now i truly adore it - it's even my fave track of the album now :D

I also liked it when i heard through "Prism" for the first time but then it started to bore me again, but now it's somehow back again and i really like it as much as never before. I'd say it's her best single since "Wide Awake"...

Agreed. Yes, i watched it and WOW these performances were great, especially the country-influenced "Do My Thang" and "4x4" - looked like so much fun! I wish her concert will be that way too :D What did you think about it?

Yes, these are really two of the best tracks from "Hydra". It's a very good album and i'd say it's even better than the previous one. "And We Run" should be the next single. I wasn't sure about it when i read that there's Xzibit as a guest rapper but now the track really works! :o And HOW it works is unbelievable :o

Haha i bought one too last friday :) Was so lucky as there weren't many seats left

thanks so much for all comments

week 07/2014 – 13 february 2014 Time to live an adventure
    Singles Top40
The seventh week brings the seventh number one song of the year and while last weeks chart topper rose to the top, it’s a new entry who gets the crown this week. Tuomas Holopainen may be an unknown name for many but not for me as he’s the mastermind of the finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. Nightwish is my most favorite band ever and already got several hits on the weekly charts. 2014 is now the first time in which Tuomas releases a solo album called “The Life And Times Of Scrooge” and the first single is “A Lifetime Of Adventure”, sung by his wife Johanna Kurkela. The song is everything but mainstream and i wasn’t sure about it at first but it grew on me fast and now it’s not only his first solo single, but also his first solo number one.

It’s somehow funny to see Tarja, who was the frontwoman and lead singer of Nightwish for a very long time, just behind Tuomas as a feature guest on Within Temptation’s “Paradise (What About Us?)” which rises 3-2 after the impressive comeback last week. Rounding up the Top3 is already the second out of three new entries this week as Ellie Goulding arrives with her latest release “Goodness Gracious”.

Indila falls 1-4 with “Dernière danse”, Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” slips 4-5 and Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” is down 2-6. Ellie still has another song in the Top10 with “How Long Will I Love You” which is down 5-7 this week. Within Temptation has a second song in the Top10 too with “Dangerous” (9-8).

Ed Sheeran’s Hobbit-ballad “I See Fire” remains stable but loses another place this week (8-9). It debuted in the first week of 2014 like “Stardust” by tyDi and Kerli which is stable too (10-10). Miley Cyrus’ “Adore You” which also debuted in the first week of 2014 is the first of these songs that falls out of the Top10 (7-11), despite the fact that it debuted at #1 then. Not only did all of them debut inside the Top3 of the first week in 2014, all of them also get a Gold certification this week.

After three weeks Lily Allen’s comeback single “Hard Out Here” falls out of the Top10 for the first time (6-12). Rising for the first time ever in its seventh week on the charts is James Arthur’s “Recovery”. While the song debuted at #7 a while ago, it lost a few places or remained stable through the whole year so far but this week it’s up 18-17. The third new entry is also inside the Top20 as swiss band Anna Rossinelli gets a second charts entry after the 2013 hit “Let It Go” with the swiss olympia song “Shine In The Light” which comes in at #19.

Bruno Mars leaves the Top20 for the first time with his current release “Young Girls” (19-21). Also out of the Top20 is “Demons” by Imagine Dragons which slips 17-22. It debuted on the same position eleven weeks ago.

Kerli’s “Army Of Love” falls 27-33 after the re-entry last week and celebrates the 50th week on the charts. A few places below at #38 there’s a last ‘new’ song on the charts as “Best Song Ever” by One Direction re-enters.

The biggest climber is Kerli’s “Walking On Air” (39-34) while Helene Fischer’s “Atemlos durch die Nacht” falls 20-32 as the biggest loser.

    Album Top20
There was no big release this week so Within Temptation get a pretty easy second week on top for their sixth studio album “Hydra”. Their last album spent two weeks in total at number one so it will be interesting to see if “Hydra” can surpass that mark next week and become the longest number one album of the band.

Kerli’s “Utopia” rises 3-2. Rounding up the Top3 this week is “Halcyon Days” by Ellie Goulding which also rises one place (4-3) mainly due to the new entry for the new single “Goodness Gracious”.

Miley Cyrus’ “Bangerz” is still doing more than good but it starts to slow down a bit now as it falls 2-4. Anna Rossinelli debuts at number five with the re-release of their second album called “Marylou Two” (the original album is called “Marylou”). It’s their first appearance on the album charts. Tarja’s “Colours In The Dark” slips 5-6. After the debut last week One Direction’s “Midnight Memories” rises 9-7 and gets a new peak. Meanwhile, Lady GaGa’s “ARTPOP” decreases by two places and is down 6-8 – the lowest position for the album so far in its 14-week-chartrun. The last two albums in the Top10 are “Love Is Dead” by Kerli (7-9) and “Prism” by Katy Perry (8-10).

Britney’s “Britney Jean” continues with a special chartrun as the last four weeks were the same like the four weeks before (7-8-12-11- / 7-8-12-11-). It would be funny if it would rise to #7 next week. Just one place below there’s the soundtrack for ‘Hobbit 2’ which falls out of the Top10 for the very first time.

While the current album by Within Temptation remains on top, the three other charting albums from last week all lose some places but they’re still charting. “The Unforgiving” is down 11-16, “The Heart Of Everything” falls 16-18 and “Mother Earth” slips 19-20.

    Airplay Top10
The Airplay Top10 is full of songs by Within Temptation for another week, but like last week this weeks number one is not a song by the dutch band. New on top is Tuomas Holopainen with the #1 of the Singles Top40 “A Lifetime Of Adventure”. The song got 118 plays during the last week, that’s the highest amount of plays for one week in 2014 so far, surpassing Lily Allen’s “Hard Out Here” which got 117 plays during its debut week. Compared to the highest weekly plays of 2013, 118 plays for “A Lifetime Of Adventure” isn’t that amazing, but it’s still pretty impressive as the song as a length of six minutes.

Within Temptation’s collabo with Tarja called “Paradise (What About Us?)” is stable at #2 while “Edge Of The World” is rounding up the Top3 for another week (3-3).

Most of the songs are surprisingly stable; “And We Run” sits at #4 like last week, “Dangerous” slips 5-6 and also “Silver Moonlight” (6-7), “Covered By Roses” (7-8), “Radioactive” (8-9) and “Dog Days” (9-10) all lose one place this week.

There’s only one other new entry as the album closer “Whole World Is Watching” arrives at #5. Meanwhile, album opener “Let Us Burn” leaves the Top10 and also last weeks chart topper Indila leaves the Top10 with “Dernière danse”.

Plays of the Top10 went up by 13 to 399 (+3.4%) compared to last week.

Oh you didn't know i'm a Kerli stan? :)
Well, i really love her <3

Which singles did you bought of hers?
I adore all of her singles, but her latest release "The Lucky Ones" is one of her weaker track.
If you enjoy her dance songs then try "Can't Control The Kids", "Here And Now" and especially "Zero Gravity"
If you like some older stuffs then try "Walking On Air" (her debut single and probably my most fave of hers)
And finally if you like some good ballads then try "Bulletproof" or "Fragile" (both pretty depressed though) and maybe also "Love Me Or Leave Me" or "Chemical" (both from her 2013 EP "Utopia")

Finally it happened! There’s no new number one this week as Tuomas’ first solo effort “A Lifetime Of Adventure” remains on top for a second consecutive week after debuting there last week. So after seven weeks with a different number one this is the first time with the same as last week. And this is actually pretty surprising as “A Lifetime Of Adventure” is everything else than a typical number one.

Last week there was a song at number two with Tarja, the ex singer of Tuomas’ band Nightwish. Kinda funny to see another ex singer of Nightwish debuting at number two this week, as the first official debut single from Anette Olzon called “Lies” arrives there. It’s already the second song of her upcoming solo debut album “Shine” as the promo single “Falling” debuted and peaked at the same position nine weeks ago. Rounding up the Top3 is already a second new entry as Indila debuts with “Tourner dans le vide”.

Ellie Goulding slips 3-4 with “Goodness Gracious”. Meanwhile already the third new entry comes in at #5. After the two number one hits “Paradise” and “Dangerous”, “Whole World Is Watching” is the third release of the current album by Within Temptation. The song features Dave Pirner and makes a pretty good debut inside the Top5. While it’s not that good compared to the number one debuts of the two previous tracks, it’s still better compared to the single peaks of the last album by the band as their last album “The Unforgiving” spawned only two hits (“Faster” which topped the charts for five weeks and “Sinèad” which peaked at #6).

Their other song “Paradise (What About Us?)” falls 2-6 in its 20th week. Ellie Goulding also has still two songs in the Top10 as “How Long Will I Love You” remains at #7. Indila’s debut single “Dernière danse” falls back 4-8 while Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” closes the Top10 (5-10). The last song on the Top10 is Miley’s “Wrecking Ball”. In its 26th week on the charts (so a half year) it falls 6-9, being now as low as never before in its whole chartrun.

With three new entries in the Top10 it was a pretty busy week there, so a few songs fall out of them this week. Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire” slips 9-11, leaving the Top10 for the very first time. “Dangerous” by Within Temptation and Howard Jones is down 8-12 while tyDi’s and Kerli’s collabo “Stardust” falls 10-13.

After the long-awaited comeback of Lily Allen, her single isn’t doing as good as expected and this week “Hard Out Here” falls 12-19. It debuted on top just four weeks ago. Leaving the Top20 for the first time is the third single release called “Recovery” by James Arthur as it’s falling 17-22. Meanwhile, ten places lower, there’s “Can’t Remember To Forget You”. The lead single of the upcoming album by Shakira tumbles 18-32 this week – also just five weeks after debuting on top! Closing the Top40 this week is Jessie J’s “Thunder” (30-40). Despite losing lots of places during the last few weeks, it’s now officially her longest charting single ever with 12 weeks, surpassing “Nobody’s Perfect” with 11 weeks.

While there were lots of new entries pretty high on the charts, there’s no other in the lower section. But there’s at least one re-entry as Bastille is back with “Of The Night” at #21, reaching a new peak in its fifth week on the charts.

Despite only rising three places, Anna Rossinelli’s “Shine In The Light” is the biggest climber (19-16) while the already mentioned “Can’t Remember To Forget You” by Shakira and Rihanna is the biggest loser.

    Album Top20
Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation gets a third consecutive week on top with their third record “Hydra”, surpassing their last album which spent two weeks on top. Despite being just in the 8th week of the year it’s still not the longest number one album so far as Miley Cyrus’ “Bangerz” spent four weeks there, just before “Hydra” debuted.

Ellie Goulding is up to #2 again with “Halcyon Days”. It’s charting for a half year now. Rounding up the Top3 is Kerli’s “Utopia” which slips 2-3.

The already mentioned “Bangerz” by Miley Cyrus remains stable at #4 this week. “Marylou Two” by swiss band Anna Rossinelli also remains stable at #5 after debuting there last week. One place below there’s the only new entry this week as UK band Bastille come in with “All This Bad Blood”, the re-issue of their debut album “Bad Blood” which didn’t make it to the charts.

Lady GaGa’s “ARTPOP” is one place up again (8-7) while Tarja’s “Colours In The Dark” is down 6-8. The last two albums in the Top10 are back as Britney Spears’ “Britney Jean” rises 11-9 and the soundtrack for “Hobbit 2” is up 12-10.

Bruno Mars celebrates the 50th week on the charts for his second record “Unorthodox Jukebox” (13-11 this week). And while Kerli can celebrate the same milestone next week with both of her charting albums, her debut “Love Is Dead” falls out of the Top10 this week (9-14).

There are two interesting re-entries this week as two big ESC stars are back: Emmelie De Forest is back at #13 with “Only Teardrops” while Loreen returns at #17 with “Heal”. While Loreen could release some new stuff later this year, Emmelie releases her upcoming new song “Rainmaker” next week.

    Airplay Top10
While “Hydra” remains on top of the Album Top20, the Airplay Top10 also remains full of songs out of the album by Within Temptation. But after all, the number one is still by another act as Tuomas Holopainen remains there for a second week with “A Lifetime Of Adventure”.

I doesn’t happen that often but this week the whole Top3 of the Airplay Top10 is exactly the same like on the Singles Top40. That means Anette Olzon arrives at #2 with her new single “Lies” while Indila is new at #3 with “Tourner dans le vide”.

As mentioned the rest of the Airplay Top10 is full of songs by Within Temptation again. “Paradise (What About Us?)” remains the highest one but it falls 2-4. The newest release “Whole World Is Watching” remains stable at #5 while “And We Run” which has some pretty big chances to be the fourth single falls 4-6.

The power ballad “Edge Of The World” falls 3-7, “Dangerous” goes down 6-8, “Silver Moonlight” 7-9 and “Radioactive” decreases 9-10 as the last song in the charts.

Plays of the Top10 went down by 73 to 326 (-18.3%) compared to last week.
