You think so? :o No love for the other releases "Drunk In Love" or "XO"?

Kai wrote:Tansiiiiike. OMG. I gotta thank you SO MUCH for "introducing" me to Lindsey. Well, I knew Crystallize of course, but I never had that "want" to check out her album, but it's amazing. I am also surprised by myself that I love an album without any vocals so much! She already has 100+ plays on my last.fm :D

Oooh I hope I'll listen to Emmelie soon... Is it right that she'll perform that song as well on ESC?

I also told Era that I'm gonna check out Indila's album now :)

Oh, Jump was released as a single? :o

Do you know Oonagh and Gääa? I don't know, but you might like it because you also like Within Temptation etc? It's not the same... it's called "world music" but somehow the themes are similar... force of natur, mother earth etc. ...

"Only" Gold for Satellite?

Oh, so you aren't soooo thrilled about Happy either I see ;)

I hope Clean Bandit can grow even more on you! I think it's fantastic!

If you like G I R L I might give it a try as well...
So so SO glad you love Lindsey that much now! I never ever expected that, but that's really great to see!! :D
Great! Which are your favorite songs of the record?

Yes, she'll perform at the ESC, but from what i remember she only performs at one semi final...

Great :) I really like "Mini World"!

Well, not 100% sure about that but it reached the Top5 on the australian singles charts a few weeks ago, so i thought i'd let it chart too. And it's listed as a single on wikipedia.

Hmm only from the ad on the TV. I also thought about if i should take a listen to the album, but i never did.
You know, i absolutely hated her earlier stuff which she released as Senta Sofia (for example the song "Scheissegal") so i always need to think about that when i see her

Gold isn't too bad :P
And yes, "Happy" is kinda overrated IMO. But now i got the album so it kinda grew on me a lot.
it will rise a little bit this week and it looks like i will pre-order their album.
"G I R L" is kinda good, but not outstanding IMO. Everything sounds a bit samey to me, but it's at least better than other similar records like the last albums by Daft Punk, Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke.

Era wrote:8 (16) Katy Perry feat. Juicy J – Dark Horse *G* :D :D :D
12 (9) Miley Cyrus – Wrecking Ball *2xP* First time outta the Top 10 :o
18 (20) Lady GaGa – Venus *P* Good but you love it quite a lot
23 (21) Bruno Mars – Locked Out Of Heaven *3xG* Though I love this one , why didn't 'Diamonds' (the miles better song) had this kinda longevity ? :(
27 (11) Rihanna – Jump :o :(
36 (NEW) Colbie Caillat – Hold On You called this a smash and it debuted at #36 ? :P
The rise of DH made you happy? Then you better wait for tomorrow's update! 8-)

And yes, first time for WB out of the Top10.. but it had an impressive chartrun!

You think so? "Venus" is probably my fave of "ARTPOP" by far! I really hope it will be a single! The only track of the album which i still adore!

Lol @ LOOH
And don't worry, "Jump" is set to fall again this week, but not as much as last week at least...

But honey, when did i call "Hold On" a smash? That was like two days AFTER i posted this charts here! And i started to get addicted to it on saturday, when i wrote to you that i love it that much... so expect a big rise this week

I'm not that fond of Rainmaker, but great to see an ESC artist at the top of your list! :)
By the title of your topic I first thought Katy was at the top hahaha, but nevertheless great to see her back in your top ten

thanks so much for all comments

week 11/2014 – 13 march 2014 Are you ready for, ready for?
    Singles Top40
In a pretty surprising week, US singer Katy Perry gets her fifth number one hit as latest single “Dark Horse” rises 8-1 in its 13th week on the charts. It previously peaked at number two just six weeks ago. So with “Dark Horse” rising to the top so late in its chartrun, this era may finally become successful for Katy, as it was pretty disappointing compared to her “Teenage Dream”-era so far. Back then she scored hit after hit and the album literally slayed the album charts, but “Prism” underperformed.

Also pretty surprising is the number two this week. While scoring her first entry on the charts ever last week, Colbie Caillat improves a lot with “Hold On” (36-2), nearly topping the charts this week. But Katy was a little bit stronger in the end. It would have been the biggest rise to the top ever, but as for now it’s at least the biggest climber overall, surpassing other huge climbers like Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out Of Heaven” (39-7 last autumn after his concert), Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” (36-9 earlier this year), “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke (35-9 in its second week) and Avicii’s “Wake Me Up” (28-2).

Rounding up the Top3 is Emmelie de Forest’s “Rainmaker” which leaves the top after two weeks (1-3). Ellie Goulding’s sweet ballad “How Long Will I Love You” also drops two places (2-4). French singer Indila is up one place with her debut single “Dernière danse” (6-5) while the follow-up “Tourner dans le vide” slips 4-6.

Within Temptation and Dave Pirner are down 3-7 with “Whole World Is Watching”. Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran is up again with “I See Fire” (10-8). Due to the release of the “Adore You”-Remix by Cedric Gervais (probably mostly famous due to his remixes for Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness” and “Young & Beautiful”), the third single release out of the current album by Miley Cyrus rises back up 16-9 this week. It’s actually the first time ever that a remix has such a big influence on the song and so I had to make the decision if i should let it chart separately, but in the end I decided to not let it chart separately. Rounding up the Top10 is the previous single “Wrecking Ball” (12-10).

After four weeks Ellie Goulding’s “Goodness Gracious” falls out of the Top10 for the first time (7-11). Kinda bizarre to see it below the previous release “How Long Will I Love You”. Also out of the Top10 for the first time is Avicii’s “Addicted To You” (5-12) and Tuomas Holopainen’s “A Lifetime Of Adventure” (9-18).

“Dark Horse” isn’t the only thing to be happy about for Katy Perry. The promo single “Walking On Air” already showed some big potential as it peaked at a fantastic #3 and became her tenth Top3 hit. The song climbs back to #13 this week as a high re-entry. Another re-entry comes back a few places lower at #17 as Paloma Faith’s “Can’t Rely On You” re-enters due to the album release.

The highest new entry comes in at #22. Katy B already got some big charts attention in her home country UK but never got an entry on my charts – until now. Current release “Crying For No Reason” marks her charts debut. Another act from the UK gets the second highest new entry as Coldplay arrive at #29 with “Magic”, the lead single of their upcoming album. The last two new entries of this week are “Riptide” by Vance Joy (#33) and “Guilty All The Same” by Linkin Park (#38).

The last thing to mention is a big celebration: OneRepublic spend their 40th week on the charts with “Counting Stars” (26-26).

Colbie Caillat’s “Hold On” is the unexpected biggest climber this week while “Dangerous” by Within Temptation and Howard Jones falls 21-34 as the biggest loser.

    Album Top20
It was a pretty quiet week on the album charts and despite having at least one new entry nearly every week this year so far, personally I felt like there was no real blockbuster for over a month now. So Indila’s “Mini World” remains on top for a second week with her debut album “Mini World” while danish singer Emmelie De Forest is one place behind with her debut “Only Teardrops”. Actually the whole Top3 remains the same like last week as dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation also remains at number three with “Hydra”. With their concert this Sunday they could go back to the top again next week.

Both singles on the singles charts are up this week, so it’s not a surprising thing to see Miley Cyrus’ “Bangerz” rising too (6-4), coming back into the Top5 for the 20th week. More surprising is the increase for Katy Perry’s latest LP “Prism”. After a pretty disappointing chartrun so far (apart from the obligatory number one debut), the album is up 14-5 this week. It’s just the third week in the Top5, so still far behind her last album “Teenage Dream” which charted for nearly 70 weeks overall.

Pharrell Williams slips 4-6 with “G I R L” after the debut last week. He was also a producer for the third album by UK singer Paloma Faith called “A Perfect Contrafiction”, which makes its debut at #7 this week as the only new entry. It’s her first entry on the album charts.

Ellie Goulding is down 5-8 with “Halcyon Days” while “Britney Jean” is up 10-9. Despite no single out there, Britney’s album is pretty stable. With Sara Ramirez’ self-titled EP back at #10, the Top10 closes with a surprising album. Actually it’s back due to the fact that I started to watch Grey’s Anatomy again and Sara’s character there is one of my faves and I truly love her version of Brandi Carlile’s hit “The Story”.

While celebrating its 52nd week on the charts – that’s an entire year of course – Kerli’s “Utopia” drops out of the Top10 just for a sixth week (8-11). Also out of the Top10 is Avicii’s “True” (9-15) and Bastille’s “All This Bad Blood” (7-17).

Tarja’s “Colours In The Dark” slips 11-13 in its 28th week on the charts. That’s exactly as long as her last studio album “What Lies Beneath” charted, so the chances for “Colours” to become her longest charting album ever are of course extremly big. With “Trumpets” being a minor hit, Jason DeRulo is back at #18 with his latest album “Tattoos”.

    Airplay Top10
Over on the Airplay Top10, it’s Colbie Caillat who surprisingly takes the top position. While she lost the fight against Katy Perry on the singles charts, “Hold On” debuts on top on the airplay charts with pretty impressive 122 plays. It got these plays in less than a full week as I just downloaded the song on Saturday. “Dark Horse”, the chart topper on the Singles Top40, makes a strong comeback at #2. While it got 72 plays – which is still a massive number – that’s still way less than Colbie’s charttopper.

Rounding up the Top3 is “Adore You” by Miley Cyrus, which got a big push due to the remix by Cedric Gervais. While the normal version only got 4 plays over the last week, the remix got 57 plays.

Emmelie’s “Rainmaker” is down 1-4. Just behind her, there’s another re-entry for Katy Perry as album-track “Legendary Lover” re-enters at #5 (it’s rumoured to be a single soon). Promo single “Walking On Air” is also back at #9 while another rumoured single “Birthday” just misses the Top10 this week (it got 41 plays).

While three tracks by Indila leave the charts, she still has four entries. The singles “Tourner dans le vide” (2-6) and “Dernière danse” (6-7) plus the album tracks “S.O.S” (3-8) and “Ego” (5-10) still got lots of plays, but all of them lose some places.

Plays of the Top10 went up by 155 to 599 (+34.9%) compared to last week.

"Hydra" goes Gold! This is great! + 2x Platinum for "Bangerz" is amazing. Cannot wait to get to know which song will be her 4th single!

When it comes to your single charts, the debut of "Crying For No Reason" is my favourite part of it. Great song, kinda reminds me of Nicola Roberts!

Great you like these new certifications! And both albums are still high, so another cert could be possible for both!
Me too, i hope it's "Do My Thang", "4x4" or maybe "Drive"/"FU"...

Glad you like it! You need to thank Anvay because without him the song wouldn't be here  :)

I checked out "Rainmaker" and I liked it! It's not a patch on "Only Teardrops", but it's a perfect Eurovision anthem. Massive climb for Colbie; it's not my favourite song from her, but I'm not a massive fan of hers anyway. My favourite from her is "I Never Told You" and it's been ages since she's put out something I liked half as much.

Your #1 though...absolutely incredible! I really liked it last year, but now I love it unconditionally. Okay, that makes no sense, but you catch my drift. It's incredible, easily one of her best singles yet.

I knew you would like that new entry :) Unfortunately it could drop out of the charts this week, but i'm sure it will come back as soon as the album will be released (or maybe even earlier).

First of all, great you checked it out. I thought you could like it as i remember you like "Only Teardrops" too. Oh, "I Never Told You" is nice but i think "Hold On" is her best release by far  I never was into her music so far and "Hold On" is her first appearance on my charts ever, but i guess that's because the song sounds a bit like Ellie's "Anything Could Happen" and Ryan Tedder wrote the song...

Glad you like DH being my #1 last week. Haha got it  :) And agree, it's a great song and i'm so happy to see it smashing everywhere :D

Haha don't worry, update will come later today or maybe even tomorrow, so you had enough time to make a comment
Glad you like that number one. I knew you were kinda sad when it came back to #2 a few weeks ago but in the end it became a chart topper - finally!
Haha "Droughtender"
Glad you like all these entries!

"Our Time" probably won't chart soon. Even "Air Balloon" hasn't charted so far because it wasn't released here until now. HOH remains her only released single here so far.
Next week will be her week. I get the album tomorrow, so "Empire" could debut next week and maybe CRTFY will re-enter, depending on the impact of the album :)

"Into The Blue" will debut this week

thanks so much for all comments

week 12/2014 – 20 march 2014 Busiest week ever
    Singles Top40
What an incredible week! This week is the busiest ever, with a total of 12 new songs on the charts compared to last week, including eleven new entries and one re-entry. The highest new entry comes in right on the top of the Singles Top40 as german ESC entry “Is It Right” by the newcomer band Elaiza debuts there. The song was chosen to represent Germany on their preselection last Thursday and actually was a surprising winner, as there were some big names that tried it too. Germanys preselection from last year was a few weeks earlier and back then Cascada were chosen to represent their country with “Glorious”, which debuted on top too. Elaiza is now the first entry from this years ESC to make a debut on the charts.

Apart from the german preselection (three entries), the concert by dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation last Sunday also brought some entries. Well, ‘some’ may be underestimated, as the concert brings seven (!!) new songs to this weeks charts. “Paradise”, the lead single of their current album, rises 28-2 this week and the third single of their second album from 2003, both called “Mother Earth”, enters the charts at #3 as their highest new entry.

Colbie Caillat’s “Hold On” slips 2-4 while last weeks chart topper “Dark Horse” by Katy Perry is down 1-5. Up one place is Within Temptation’s current single “Whole World Is Watching”, which wasn’t performed at their concert (7-6). Ellie Goulding loses three places with “How Long Will I Love You” (4-7), the same like Indila’s “Dernière danse” (5-8). Emmelie De Forest loses double as much with “Rainmaker” as it falls 3-9 after topping the charts for two weeks. The last song in the Top10 is another entry by Indila as “Tourner dans le vide” falls 6-10.

Just outside the Top10 are another two entries by Within Temptation. “Angels” (#11) and “Stand My Ground” (#12) debut there, both were singles from their third album “The Silent Force”. Their first single that became successful was “Ice Queen” back in 2002 from their second album “Mother Earth”. That song was the last song they performed on the concert and makes an appearance at #16 this week. There’s already a fifth entry by them in the Top20 at #18 as the lead single from their fifth album “The Unforgiving” called “Faster” re-enters the charts. It topped the charts for five non-consecutive weeks three years ago. Between “Ice Queen” and “Faster” there’s another new entry, but not by Within Temptation. “The Fiddler On The Deck” by Santiano was one of the songs from the german ESC preselection and marks their charts debut at #17.

“What Have You Done” was released as the first single from Within Temptation’s fourth album “The Heart Of Everything” and makes a debut at #25. Meanwhile, the second single of their current sixth album “Dangerous” is up 34-32 while “Memories” from the album “The Silent Force” is new at #36 as their last entry this week. So the band owns 10 songs on the charts.

Lady GaGa leaves the Top20 for the first time with “Venus” after 20 weeks (16-23). Despite being on top of the charts for two consecutive weeks, Tumoas Holopainen’s first solo single “A Lifetime Of Adventure” leaves the Top20 also for the first time but after only five weeks (18-33).

Apart from the mentioned new songs on the charts there are still three more new entries. Australian icon Kylie Minogue debuts at #29 with her new single “Into The Blue”. It’s her first appearance since the collaboration with Taio Cruz on “Higher” (#1 for one week). “In My Arms” from 2008 remains her highest peaking single as a main artist (#3 for one week). Pegasus, a pretty famous band from Switzerland, makes their first entry ever with “Digital Kids” at #31. The song has huge airplay over here and is set to debut in the Top10 of the official swiss single chart this coming Sunday. The last entry is MarieMarie with “Cotton Candy Hurricane”, another entry from the german ESC preselection.

Due to all the new songs on the charts it was pretty clear to see lots of big falls. The biggest one goes to “Can’t Rely On You” by Paloma Faith which tumbles 17-40. The biggest climber is the already mentioned “Paradise (What About Us?)” by Within Temptation and Tarja.

    Album Top20
It wasn’t just a busy week on the Singles Top40 but also the busiest ever on the Album Top20. Four new entries and three re-entries arrive this week, so a total of seven new albums. But the number one isn’t one of these, as “Hydra” by Within Temptation rises back to the top by moving 3-1. It previously topped the album charts for four weeks and now it becomes the longest number one album of the year so far, surpassing the four weeks of Miley Cyrus’ “Bangerz”.

Canadian singer Loreena McKennitt debuts at number two with “The Journey So Far – The Best Of Loreena McKennitt”. It’s her first entry ever. Rounding up the Top3 is another debut as the third album by Within Temptation called “The Silent Force” makes its first entry ever. It was originally released in 2004.

Miley’s “Bangerz” remains at #4 while the highest re-entry comes back at #5. Within Temptation’s “The Heart Of Everything” charted for several weeks earlier this year due to the new album release, but gets a new peak by far due to the concert.

Indila’s “Mini World” drops 1-6. Katy Perry is down two places with “Prism” (5-7) and Pharrell Williams’ “G I R L” also loses two places (6-8). While Emmelie De Forest’s debut album falls 2-9, the last album in the Top10 remains the self-titled EP by Sara Ramirez.

Kylie Minogue and Pegasus get two new entries on the Singles Top40 this week as the lead single of both new albums arrive there. Both albums also debut on the Album Top20 as Kylie’s “Kiss Me Once” is new at #11 and Pegasus’ “Love & Gunfire” is new at #12. Ellie Goulding celebrates the 30th week on the charts for “Halcon Days”, but falls out of the Top10 (8-13).

Two re-entries are still left, and both of them are by Within Temptation. Fifth album “The Unforgiving” is back at #15 while their second album “Mother Earth” re-enters at #17 and becomes a new peak through this. Both charted a few weeks ago too due to “Hydra”’s release.

Two last things to mention. Due to all these new-/re-entries, Kerli’s “Utopia” falls 11-19 this week. It’s charting for incredible 53 weeks now, but it never was lower than #13, so this fall is pretty big for her. Also, after impressive 57 weeks, Lindsey Stirling’s self-titled debut album falls out of the charts for the very first time.

    Airplay Top10
It was also a busy week on the Airplay Top10 as all ten songs are new- or re-entries. So all ten song from last week, including Colbie Caillat’s big chart topper “Hold On”, leave the charts.

Looking at the Singles Top40 and the Album Top20, it’s not a big surprise to see nine entries by Within Temptation. But the most played song is “Is It Right” by german band Elaiza, which also tops the singles charts and got 65 plays during the last week. So it topped the charts easily, as the second most played song ‘only’ got 27 plays.

Album track “Covered By Roses” makes a surprising re-entry at #2, including a new peak. Single “Paradise” is back at #3.

It’s rumoured to become the next single, but as for now the collabo “And We Run” with US rapper Xzibit remains an album track and re-enters the Airplay Top10 at #4. Just behind it there’s “Silver Moonlight” and with “Tell Me Why” another “Hydra”-album track is new at #6. “Edge Of The World” (#7), “Let Us Burn” (#9) and “Summertime Sadness” (#10) are also in the Airplay Top10, all from “Hydra” and all of them were played during their concert a few days ago.

The only song by Within Temptation which isn’t from their current album is “Mother Earth”, the third single and title track from their second album. The song debuts at #8 this week.

Plays of the Top10 went down by 331 to 268 (-55.3%) compared to last week. This seems to be a very big decrease, but while the ten most played song last week were nearly the only ones that got played more than once or twice, this week there are a lot of songs that were played around ten to twenty times, including of course lots of tracks from other albums by Within Temptation like “The Silent Force”, “The Heart Of Everything” and “The Unforgiving”. Even the tracks from last weeks charts were played a ‘lot’, with Miley’s “Adore You” only getting three plays less than this weeks chart closer “Summertime Sadness”.

You must really like Within Temptation. Personally I'm not a fan of what I've heard from them in the album cup.
Kylie's song is good though!

Glad to see both Indila's singlers and Dark Horse hanging on in the top 10 despite the Within Temptation overload :D

Do you like "Rather Be" ? After last week, I thought it might become a minor hit (at least) in your Charts, but this week it's nearly dropping off your Charts... hope it'll recover! :D

"Goodness Gracious" is falling rather fast, but maybe it can have longevity eventually? I think it's not the best single choice, but still a great song.

Sorry, I already saw DH was topping your chart last week, but I forgot to comment..
Great to see some UfD influence on your chart this week, but well just from the wrong songs.. :P
And a Dutch group slaying a chart like this is always nice to see. :)

Flawless #1! Is It Right is growing growing growing on me more and more and more!

I like Mother Earth and Stand My Ground a lot :) And Ice Queen is fantastic!

Cotton Candy Hurrican is cute. Something is a bit boring about her music but I can't exactly say what :o

A bit disappointed by Kiss Me Once not entering the Top 10 :( It's my fave album of 2014 so far and the first positive surprise since ... Aphrodite I just realize

thanks for all comments so far.

I will make a lil reply to each comment later.

I just wanted to say that this week's chart will be delayed for at least one day, maybe up to three due to exams.

Yes, i was at their concert nearly two weeks ago, that's why there was such a big invasion by them last week
Glad you like "Into The Blue" :)

Glad you like these three songs. Indila is a big surprise of the year so far and i really like her debut album. Can't wait to see what she will choose as the next single :)

Haha, as much as i like to follow its chart performance i kinda hate the track so far. I guess it won't make the charts anytime soon

I didn't buy it so far and i only hear it like once a week, so that's why it didn't take off on the charts so far. I guess i'll buy their album though, so it may be big by then. But as for now i don't see it becoming a big hit on my charts. Plus the Within Temptation overload was one of the reason for its big drop.

I'm not sure. I'm currently still loving "How Long Will I Love You" more and it overshadows "Goodness Gracious". But yeah, agree that it's not the best choice but still a great song (like nearly every Ellie song  :) )

No problem! :) Glad you like it :D
Oh, you like Madeline, right?
Actually i only liked the entries by Elaiza, Santiano and MarieMarie
haha :) Do you like that music too? :)

Glad you like it! And also glad it's growing on you!
I still need to order their album

Do you know her other tracks? I'm currently in love with "Candy Jar" :)

Oh so you're a Kylie stan? It's actually my first album by Kylie, so that debut is okay :-?
