What can I say about Beyoncé that her fans and detractors alike don't already know? Not only was this multi-talented woman the lead singer of what is one of the world's best selling girl groups of all-time, but in 2003 when she branched off to start for herself a solo career, she took the industry by storm and for the last decade has ruled airwaves with her anthems of empowerment, heart-wrenching ballads, and booty-popping clubbangers.

It was with the release of 4 that I truly grew to love Queen B and after exploring her impeccable discography in full, the R&B megastar has quickly become one of my favourite female artists of all-time. Thus, it is my absolute pleasure to count down what I feel to be her all-time best tunes.

Prepare yourselves for controversial, eye-raising, sanity-questioning rankings and I hope we all have a great time!

Coming soon...

I go with "I Was Here". I have presentiment that you adore it. Actually, I think every person in the world must be impressed and influenced by this song's message and sadness.

I'll probably think that you're gonna put "Irreplaceable" at #1, though. Hopefully I get my wish though ("I Was Here" winning. )

I wanna be amazed, Akini 8-)

Don't come with Daddy and 1+1. I'm looking forward to see the ranking of her real gems like Why Don't You Love Me, Schoolin Life, Disappear and Speechless.

#080. Gift From Virgo.

Image

Gaining the unwanted honour of being my least fave Beyoncé track is "Gift From Virgo", the penultimate track on the star's debut CD, Dangerously In Love. To me, the track is painfully boring and it just drags on and on. It's less than three minutes long but it feels like more than five minutes. Strong vocals in some parts though. 4/10
#079. Hip Hop Star.

Image

It's rare for me to dislike club tracks from Ms. Knowles, but she sounds so lazy on this one! It's like Jay-Z woke her up at three in the morning and coaxed her to record this when she wasn't fully awake. Big Boi and Sleepy Brown (the irony), thankfully, add some much-needed energy to the track but by that time, it's too late as I'm already drowsy. 4.5/10
#078. Signs.

Image

I'm really interested in the Zodiac signs so one would expect me to like this one but it's easily one of the most annoying tracks in Bey's discography. I must comment on the lazy vocals once again as they're really off-putting. It has a bit of a sensual sound to it but I can't see how someone can be turned on when they're annoyed, to be honest. I like her vocal inflections in some parts though. 5.5/10
#077. Video Phone.

Image

I've always considered Beyoncé to be one of the sexiest women in Hollywood but her moaning on this track is really frustrating. The production is also a bit messy and the video is cringeworthy. As a fan of hers, I sometimes like to pretend that this was never released. I like her delivery in the verses though. They save the song from being completely unbearable. 5.5/10
#076. That's Why You're Beautiful.

Image

I see what Beyoncé was trying to do with this one and the lyrics are certainly sweet but I can't get past the fact that it's a borefest. It's a decent track, yes, but there's no climax to it so it tends to sound a bit dragging and really ought not to have been included on the otherwise brilliant, I Am...Sasha Fierce. 6/10

"That's Why You're Beautiful" is so low! :o I find "Video Phone" low too! Not her best, but not her worst!

Will you include some lives?

The three Dangerously In Love tracks that you ranked are cringe-worthy, they too are definitely my least favourite Queen B tracks.. the album is my least favourite of hers too.

"Video Phone" is quite decent though, can't understand why it ranks only at #77. Deserves to rank higher I think, probably in the 40s or 50s. This is definitely the weakest track on IASF, but it's not that bad.

But... "That's Why You're Beautiful" is TOO low. Not one of the best tracks from IASF, but it's better than few uptempos from the SF side. I think I would have ranked it in the 20s or 30s. Like Haribo said, it's not her best but it's definitely not her worst. My second least fave ballad from the IA side, after "Disappear".

#080. Gift From Virgo.
Can't even remember what it sounds like.

#079. Hip Hop Star.
Oh Gosh. Definitely one of the most horrible tracks in Beyonce's career.

#078. Signs.
Nahhh... It's cute but that's it. I remember watching a YouTube video analyzing that Illuminati thing on this track lawl.

#077. Video Phone.
It's crap but catchy at the same time.

#076. That's Why You're Beautiful.
A very beautiful and underrated track from I Am.... <3

80. Gift from Virgo
I think it has an interesting production. It is just not for everybody.. This being said, it is definitely not her worst track ever!

79. Hip-Hop Star
This is one of my first guilty pleasures from Beyonce. I do think she wasn't sleeping after all. I can see why one would hate it.

78. Signs
Now that's an underrated jam and her vocals on this are heaven. 8-)

77. Video Phone
I'm actually surprised this made it to the last 5 and not the last.

76. That's Why You're Beautiful
