I always going to incorporate a photo of her, as a bit of subtle shade, but I decided to act my age for once! :P

Looking forward to the countdown - and surprised by some acts in the photo collage!

Though I love the music by P!nk, Beatles, Shania Twain, Michael Jackson and Anastacia, I'm definitely rooting for Tina Turner and Roy Orbison to rank high.

#25 - P!nk

Although her record sales are approaching some 80 million worldwide - more than what Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Adele or equivalents have sold - P!nk is still seen as somewhat underrated. I personally think that she is the most talented female artist of her generation - great singer, fantastic songwriter and unbelievable live performer. She does grandiose ballads and up-tempo smashes in almost equal measure, and I feel that is why she has had such longevity. In a time when pop-rock - or "sprock" - performers have faded significantly, P!nk has managed to maintain a very successful career. And she does it without scandal, or controversy - she's a supremely talented artist, and looking at the rest of my top 25, she's almost in a league of her own as far as 00's pop stars go!
Top 20 favourite P!nk songs:

01. Glitter in the Air
02. Who Knew
03. Nobody Knows
04. Try
05. Dear Mr. President
06. Blow Me [One Last Kiss]
07. Leave Me Alone [I'm Lonely]
08. U + Ur Hand
09. Just Like A Pill
10. F*cklin' Perfect
11. Please Don't Leave Me
12. So What
13. I'm Not Dead
14. Family Portrait
15. Just Give Me A Reason [featuring Nate Ruess]
16. Raise Your Glass
17. Get The Party Started
18. There You Go
19. Stupid Girls
20. Ave Mary A

3 favourite P!nk albums:

I don't know much about P!nk's global sales, but Beyoncé sold more than 80 million records.

Anyway, good to see her. Never been a fan, but I agree to say she's somewhat underrated. The Truth About Love contains great songs. My favorite P!nk song is "Sober".

Nuh-uh.

Though I don't want that discussion in here - Beyonce might get her chance in the spotlight later on! :P

If you look at how much discussion occurs when a Beyonce, or Rihanna performance goes viral or awry, compared to what P!nk gets - she's definitely underrated.

Beyonce's lipped national anthem performance got 100x more positive press than P!nk's SENSATIONAL performance of Try at the AMA's - in the context of her contemporaries, she is very underrated.

Yeah but that's because P!nk is different to those others and has different kinds of fans, she's too consistently successful to be underrated and her albums really aren't that great anyway in my opinion.

P!nk is IMO by far the best of the "pop star divas" of the past dozen or so years IMO. Some of her material is very generic but you can tell she is a really cool person and she's been very consistent over the years.

i don't like like 80% of the songs Pink has ever recorded and that makes it very hard for me to get into her. I think the M album still is her magnum opus - unmatched until now among her discography.

Bill, I wouldn't get your hopes up if I were you. I'd bet my left thumb that it's Kelly as Wayne did refer to her as "potentially (his) favourite vocalist to emerge since the turn of the new millennium" after she performed at Obama's presidential inauguration.

P!nk is an excellent start to the countdown. I agree that she always seems to get overshadowed by her contemporaries: Britney, Christina, Beyoncé, and the like when she's every bit as talented as they are and I'd even go as far as to say she's as strong a live performer as Britney in her prime and Beyoncé today!

You've got quite a few of my P!nk favourites listed in your Top 20 from her, namely: "Who Knew" (unfortunately, I've got a very personal connection to this one, one of her best ballads if not her all-time best), "U + Ur Hand" (one of her greatest uptempo anthems, took me a few years to find out what it was in reference to), "Just Like A Pill" (one of her most beloved classics, love the lyrics and divine chorus), "So What" (the first line alone slays and the rest of the track keeps up that momentum), "Family Portrait" and (heartbreaking, powerful, and just brilliant).

:-? He obviously talking about Ana with that sentence, "Sprock" is her self-dubbed sound. ;) I have no idea if Kelly will be higher than Anastacia by the way, probably though if that is what Wayne said.

I reckon this list is gonna be very gay, which you know I'm very much against, but I'm sure I'll pick up on some I like along the way.

Pink started off on a massive high for me, loved her first album, liked some tracks from the third album, hated most of her lesbo era's, especially So What, but I've liked a lot of her most recent album.
