OK, we are now starting the MC countdown!

#40. H.A.T.E.U.
I love Mariah Carey so much, her personality and music overall is great. But this didn't really do it Mariah. It isn't infectious, it's not very catchy and it just annoys me listening to this song. I'm not a big fan of this song. 3/10
#39 UP OUT MY FACE (feat. NICKI MINAJ)
I like this song quite a bit, I just find the pairing odd and I don't really like the lyrics. Due to American Idol, I learn to understand why it's called Up Out My Face. Good song, but doesn't have that special something. 5/10
#38 LOVERBOY (feat. CAMEO)
This song is one of MiMi's worst songs. I don't like it. Surprisingly, in this song I only like Cameo's parts. This song wasn't single-worthy and she picked a bad choice on my side. MiMi doesn't have her power on this song
And there is my first 3! Comment on them, and I will post more later!

I assume this countdown will only include her singles? I mean you just basically dissed all those songs up there yet ranked them inside your top 40.

Haha, you're good. :)

Anyway, I'm surprised you ranked H.A.T.E.U. at the lowest position. When I first heard the snippet from one of her listening parties way before the album release, I was so sure I'm going to love it. My excitement went through the roof when I heard The-Dream's demo as I knew Mariah's going to kill it with this song. The final version however left me so disappointed. The robotic sounds and overproduction just ruined it for me. Still, I have a soft spot for this track and I think it's far from being her worst single. I'd even go as far as saying it's the best single released from Memoirs.

Up Out My Face was one of my faves from Memoirs when it was first released. Ironically, Mariah once said that it was her fave from Memoirs. I absolutely don't care how immature the lyrics were back then as I thought they were witty and cute. But when I realized it was a lame rip-off of Shake It Off, then my love for the song really dissipated. Then the Nicki remix came and I liked it again. Not so much though.

I have a on-off relationship with Loverboy. Sometimes I think it's her worst lead single, sometimes I love it to death. Tacky Mariah at its best. I mean, what was she thinking doing that video? The saving grace of this song is Da Brat's rap on the remix, ICONIC! That's probably the best rap feature Mariah has had in a song, along with O.D.B.'s in Fantasy Remix.

"H.A.T.E.U." and "Loverboy" are both poor but at least the former is palatable. I like "Up Out My Face". It's one of Mimi's better collabs.

"I Want To Know What Love Is" was a really strong vocal performance from Mariah. Sure she's done much better in the past, but it's a classy ballad and I like the video. "Make It Happen" is great too though it grew off of me a bit. Love the message though!

"Can't Let Go" was a song that I thought was overrated by the lambs at first but over time I was able to hear the brilliance that everyone else spoke of.
