The Music

8. How did you find out about Ukmix?

9. Tell us the story behind your username
My username comes from one of my favorite songs, Gravity by John Mayer.

10. Who do you stan for?
Mariah Carey, John Mayer, Brandy, JoJo, Ariana Grande, Fifth Harmony...and a bunch of R&B flops

12. What was the last song you played?
You Never Knew by HAIM.

13. What is one flop album/single that you think should've been a hit?

Privacy by French pop/RnB singer Ophelie Winter is one of my favorite albums ever.

15. Give us some of the best lyrics you’ve ever heard
"It wasn't raining yet
But it was definitely
A little misty on
That warm November night
And my heart was pounding
My inner voice resounding
Begging me to turn away
But I just had to see your face
To feel alive
And then you casually walked in the room
And I was twisted in the web
Of my desire for you
My apprehension blew away
I only wanted you
To taste my sadness
As you kissed me in the dark"

16. Any iconic Ukmix moments?
Didn't have any, and doubt that I ever will.

17. If you had a music career, what genre(s) would your albums be?
Adult R&B.

3. What's your opinion on where you live?
1. Reading books :D I love it even more than listening to music. My favorite books ever are The Gambler by F. Dostoyevsky, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, and The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern.

2. Nope  I'm a very unathletic person. I do enjoy long walks, though.

3. I love my hometown. It's a beautiful place with rich history and a lot of things to do. I just wish people weren't so close-minded sometimes.

3. Favorite thing(s) about Croatia
1. What's The 411? by Mary J. (Finally!)

2. Any topic in Urban/R&B section about albums I love

3. Very diverse and rich history, cuisine and culture. My father is from Bosnia and my mother is from Zagorje; it's a huge cultural clash even though they're both Croats and speak the same language

Have you ever been to Slovenia? (My family is from Slovenia)
Are you planning to move to a different country in the future?

Didn't know you are a girl! :)

I wanted to ask you questions, but...

11. Name a current singer who you dislike and tell us why
Katy Perry, even though she's not as current as she used to be. Her voice is awful and her music is so basic.

The Roof is really the best song ever <3

I've never been to Slovenia but I'm planning to! I well in love with Bled just by looking at the pictures, I need to visit the next year.

I'm thinking about moving somewhere else, but we'll see. It's just a thought at this point.

SZA and Jhene Aiko are both really overrated in my opinion.

11. Name a current singer who you dislike and tell us why
Katy Perry, even though she's not as current as she used to be. Her voice is awful and her music is so basic, yet her fans defend her basicness to death.

Well, I'm interested in wide range of topics, especially politics. Just as long as it's not sports
Being a TV reporter or radio presenter is way more interesting than just writing columns and stuff, so I can see myself doing that. I'm currently doing an internship at our national TV station.

Yes, multiple times! The last book I've read in one day was When God Was A Rabbit by Sarah Winman.

2017 was quite disappointing so far. My favorite would be John Mayer's new album.

Yes, I love cooking!

I would add more emojis to UKmix. The ones we have are boring.

Imagine It Was Us or Pieces <3

90s for R&B, 80s for every other genre

Good: great food, beautiful sea. Bad: people can be really close-minded.

The iconic Only U ofc

Vivian Green. She is very similar to Alicia Keys - piano prodigy, soulful music. For example: https://youtu.be/63TudFk9-u8

Not saying that, sorry. A bit too personal

Yes, it's a good faculty tbh. Gives you a lot of opportunities to set your foot into the journalism world.

Booze & Blues and The Old Pharmacy Pub :D

Stayed in Zg this year because of internship/lack of money. But I have family in Pula, love going there!

My all-time favourite Celine song is I Remember LA - rank it out of 10!

As the two preeminent female vocalists alive, should Mariah and Celine duet?

Do you prefer the queen's French or English reportoire?

Have you seen the queen live?

I Remember LA is 10/10. It's a great song and very Celine - I can't imagine any other diva doing it justice.

Maybe back then when Mariah was more AC. I just can't imagine a duet between them now. But maybe I just don't want it because I know Celine would murder her vocally right now.

Her French material is probably objectively better, but most of my favorite Celine songs are in English.

No, sadly. I doubt she'll ever come close to Croatia. :(
