I haven't tried it yet. I don't think it is sold at my local supermarket. Being vegan is not so easy in Tromsø.
I am not trying to be vegan though, but I want to reduce and replace every animal source that I can, in a way I maintain the same approximate intake of calories + nutrients. I've pushed a lot to gain weight and have gained almost 10 kgs since August, and going vegan would imply me increasing my intake of food by a great amount, which I do not want to do. I don't feel I can replace animal meat which is the easiest source of calories through protein.

But I've mostly stopped buying beef, and either eat chicken, turkey or pork. In Portugal, I eat much more fish and rabbit, a very sustainable meat.

I would always go vegan first for environment and not for animal suffering. Eating herbivores is fine for me, I view killing as something natural.

Does natural mean morally justifyable in your opinion? If so, why are we against other things that happen in nature (like killing your offspring or rape etc)?

For starters, as a biological species we value our kin above all else.
So first our family (our closely related genes), then our species. It is super natural. You don't really see true altruism anywhere in nature. It is extremely rare, at least.

Ethical is relative, and purely subjective. Biologically, you want your species to thrive. Without preying on other animals, we would not be where we are, in terms of civilisation. We are at the top of the food chain, and if you look down the scale, you will always see a being taking advantage of others, until you reach the photo-synthesisers, those who produce energy out of inorganic materials.

I can never look at humans and think we are above all else: we are still an animal species. Death is something common in nature. Every living thing will suffer (if they can) and die.
It is also hypocritical to say "I don't eat animals", but live and capitalise on a system that, to exist, destroys and kills in mass. For you to have access to your phone, many animals died. Entire pieces of land were destroyed.

My two cents anyway. But I am in no way against veganism, as hopefully you will know, and I fully support the principle and movement, as long as it is coherent.

Where do you buy jackfruit in Switzerland? I mean the marinated ones and not the unflavoured (salty), tinned versions.

Of course he is. He has a dog and speaks fondly of it.
He is not as tough as he wants to come across.

I found this topic interesting because it was about veganism but the poll was about loving animals!

My current live-in partner slash ex-boyfriend went vegan 2 months ago and I've been doing it on and off since. Our home has become very vegan-friendly; when I'm too lazy to cook I just use a food delivery app to order in vegan food. I still eat meat and eggs 50% of the time but I am very keen to transition into full veganism.

My rationale for being vegan hasn't much to do with loving animals. While I do adore all birds and crustaceans, most mammals and fishes, many reptiles, and certain insects, the draw of veganism, to me, stems from its high sustainability. Plants are a relatively easy food source to handle compared to animals. Also I played a lot of Harvest Moon as a teenager and growing vegetables to survive seems totally natural.

Vegan food just feels so much better after its in the body!
