Inspired by the other topic, I thought let's do a "food feud" topic. We'll vote on two different dishes, usually within the same cuisine!

Image vs. Image

Lasagne: an Italian dish consisting of lasagne baked with meat or vegetables and a cheese sauce.
Margherita Pizza: a type of pizza made with tomato, sliced mozzarella, basil, and extra virgin olive oil.

I think there are better foods but as far as Italian foods go - this is the business for me.

That said, I cannot make a lasagne from scratch to save my life.

Same. Mine always ends up too dry. But Lasagne FTW!

lasagne BY FAR

margherita is the most basic kind of pizza, practically no toppings on it, people who choose it over other pizzas baffle me

Over a Margherita, lasagne. Though a pepperoni will win everything.

Lasagne is a more satisfying meal. I prefer it when the cheese is nicely melted on top and not too runny and don't hold back on the mince. The more layers the better.

I can’t stand lasagne, always found the meat to be gristly, there to be too much cheese and nowhere near enough pasta to have the right filling to pasta ratio.

Even though I’d prefer a more interesting pizza, margherita still wins. Never been a fan of lasagne.

Lasagne wins 13-9 (59% - 41%) in the battle of the two ultimate Italian cuisines!

Next up:

Image vs. Image

Spaghetti Bolognese: beef mince coated in a tomato based sauce with herbs, garlic and onions topped with Parmesan cheese on a bed of spaghetti.
Chili:Chili con carne, commonly known in American English as simply "chili", is a spicy stew containing chili peppers, meat, and often tomatoes and beans.

Chilli con carne by far

Spaghetti Bolognese is so basic here, I've eaten so much of it all my life that it doesn't represent anything special to me

Chilli, though I prefer to make it with onions, green chillies, green peppers, tomatoes, garlic, red chillies, cumin & parprika.

Spaghetti is overrated, not much of a fan.

Which is ironic as it's not an Italian dish.

At least not how most people think of it.

Why you won't find Spaghetti Bolognese in Italy.
