Coffee sensitivity

I wonder if anyone else reacts ‚sensitive‘ to coffee and/or caffeine.

Not long ago I‘ve noticed kind of strange side effects after drinking my used-to-be favourite beverage such as increased nervousness, acidity and sweating.

Usually a cup of coffee can’t be that bad but I try to avoid it on week days.

What’s your experience with coffee?

Recently I've felt this a bit too, didn't happen to me before. I know several people who get anxious with coffee as well.

My own advice is: swap to black tea if you can; make weaker coffee; don't have caffeine first thing in the morning, drink it with some food and have some water.

Haha I do! I am not a coffee drinker at all, but on the rare times that I do drink straight up coffee, it gives me a headache within 20-30 mins of drinking it, and makes me feel kinda lightheaded at times. Luckily, I don't really like coffee much anyway so I don't drink it, but it's because of that that I'm probably sensitive, never been used to it. Tea is def more bearable 8-)

I cant be doing with tea, especially all these herbal and fruity ones. I drink them and feel like I’m drinking hot water with a hint of something that might be nice but never quite arrives.

Just give me an English Breakfast with several sugars and a dash of milk and I’m a happy man.

There’s a special place in hell for people who put too much milk in their tea.

Coffee makes my heart hurt and makes my stomach hurt. I still drink it though because I love it. It mostly has negative effects when I drink it without food.

Nah it‘s definitely not!

I thought that too but you notice when you feel slightly off.

I allow myself to drink coffee on weekends in small amounts though.

I use to be a coffee drink, 1 in the morning when I arrive at work and then 1 midday ish. Never noticed any side effects.

Now it’s all just cucumber water that I drink, with the odd Redbull once a week.

I do not drink coffee or any caffeinated products because I am now educated on their health benefits, which I do not think are that many. I have not drank coffee/tea in almost three years and plan on keeping it that way. I stick to water. I didn't notice any physical reactions when I used to drink it apart from slight discoloration of the teeth and bad breath, which are reasons to stop consuming it in itself really.

If I accidentally pick up someone else’s drink and there’s sugar in it, eugh, I have to go spit it out. I need a coffee in the morning to get me going but I tend to drink tea the rest of the day

This. Thank you.

As for the topic, I drink around 3-4 coffee a day and have no problems with it. I do have some problems with energy drinks though, something similar to Angeman.
