Next year I want to:

- Learn to play piano
- Implement a healthier diet
- Do a night course (and if it works out)
- Apply to do my masters
- Spend all my savings on a Madonna ticket(s)
- Read more (26 books target)
- Watch less
NO MEN IN ME.

By your lack of general positivity, we know you’re not into self improvement.

Sweetie pls I have a reasonable mix of positivity & realism, too much positivity can lead to borderline delusion and can even be harmful. The good ol saying "too much of anything is bad for you" comes into play once again.

Anyway those year end resolutions were cute when u were a teenager but aren't effective at all imo. Ofc I have my goals in the back of my mind that I am working on all the time through the year. Don't need a specific resolution at the end of the year that will be forGaGatten in 2 weeks time anyway for that.

This thread got messy immediately.

aRat, maybe just don’t bother commenting if you don’t agree with the concept. Your post didn’t really add any value to the thread

If you’re gonna learn to play the piano, it’s gonna take more than a year to really get it right at a good level

And why not start the new diet now? It’s never too early to eat healthy 8-)

I think a lot of people don’t like to diet over the festive period.

Healthier is what I said. And I know it takes a while to play a piano, but gotta start somewhere right? I can already read sheet music, which will help :P

Good idea for a topic!

Two of mine are the same as yours, menime, which are:

The first one was already on my list for a few years, but the hope never dies...

Also, OT, but, why is everyone such a negative nancy in here? I have no idea why people throw 'hate' towards menime when the only thing he did was opening a topic about something which may be interesting for a few users to read. If you don't like the topic, why even bothering to check it out let alone making a post. The kindergarten in here is sometimes too much

Hmm I generally fail at this, but I’ll make a list and see if I end up sticking to it

- finally enroll in driving school
- take up yoga
- buy a blender
- meditate
- go back to dairy-free nutrition & eat healthier in general
- quit my current job and move to China

All of these are doable I’d say, I just need to push myself a bit

Teach English. Apparently it’s good money (for our standard at least) + I think I need a drastic change in my life because I feel like I’m stagnating atm.

- complete the pre-course for the Bachelor of Science in Business Communications with more ease than previous education

- quit caffeine

- gaining more autonomy in my job field

- putting more effort into bonding with people

- further reduce social media presence till there‘s only LinkeDin and UKMIX left

- cultivate the habit of doing lists and visualise targets/aims

- do more, think less

My plans for 2019:
- win one friend
- write a children's book (~ 150 pages)
- get a sixpack by summer - for that purpose:
- drink enough
- only one dessert per day
- exercise for 1 hour a day
- 2 portions of veggies per day

- have a capital of ~ 40k €
- spend less time online (1 hour?)
- (optional:) make a relationship with someone
- gain more self-confidence
- get up earlier
- get sick less often
- be happy with my life and don't worry about too much :)

Yup, unnecessary.

In terms of my 2019 resolutions, as always I believe I could be healthier, so will strive to do that (how successful I will be is anyone's business  ).

I also need to be better with money, I obliterated a chunk of my savings learning to drive this year and then buying a car - need to make up the ground I've lost. I'd also like to secure a promotion at work, I've been in my current role for 18 months but feel like I mastered it a long time ago and need new challenges.
