That's like saying Victoria Beckham is the best at everything because she was influenced by Mariah, Janet and MJ.

Victoria Beckham is famous for her style. But all leaders have influences, and when Beckham appeared on the ELLE cover earlier this year she revealed her own style icon: The legendary Barbra Streisand

Yeah, pretty vile and ignorant comment. I decided to ignore that low comment so i just answered like nothing happened
I noticed that too and I was like wtf but yeah...maybe it's better to let it slide.

Although I expressed it as a joke it definitely didn't resonate that way. Sorry if it hurt anyone's feelings but I'd have to disagree with the comment saying its vile. Some countries (including my native country) are simply behind in social, economic, environmental, technological levels, including some "first-world" nations.

Janet is more influental and important than Mariah in US. Janet is more iconic...

Who inspired Beyoncé? answer ... Janet Jackson and Diana Ross...

Beyoncé's biggest inspiration is Michael Jackson, then Prince. Just because she's a woman, it doesn't mean her inspirations have to be only women.

Let's not forget about when Janet did Rhythm Nation..then Beyoncé does "Formation". She copies everyone

I fail to see the resemblance, the songs sound nothing alike. One is very much of its time, with that new jack swing sound. "Formation" is hip hop inspired. As for the videos, they're also unrelated.

Beyoncé's promoting the union of women, black women in America especially, foretelling the Women's March movement for example.

Okay, ladies, now let's get in formation, 'cause I slay
Prove to me you got some coordination, 'cause I slay
Slay trick, or you get eliminated

"Rhythm Nation"s message is more universal, to a more inattentive person it's just another fun dance pop track.

But I'd love to read your reasoning.

Obviously Formation and Nation rhyme, so it's an obvious rip-off..

I fail to see the resemblance too. I think the resemblance comes more from her Super Bowl styling and that she also released an accompanying movie.

The SB outfit was again inspired by MJ. She's frankly admitting she's the worthy successor of the biggest pop star of all time.

As for the dancers outfits, it was an ode to the Black Panthers.

I'm not saying I agree with the resemblance in outfits to Janet. It's just what the stans are using.

In terms of managing her brand, she cited Madonna as her influence during self-titled era.
