boy pablo - Everytime

+ In a world where a new indie/alternative band couldn't hope for more than 20k views for their music video, these norwegian guys scored a relatively viral hit and are getting towards the 3 million views mark.
What is their secret? Keep it lo-fi, get some cheesy close-ups and provide the A E S T H E T H I C for the masses.

Sometimes is hard to follow up with who Taylor is in war... this time she's in war with her old self, I think.
LWYMD broke some records, in between it achieved 43.2 million views on YouTube in its first day, huge, and the video contains numerous hidden meanings and references.

BUT r u still buying all the wars that Taylor has with others?

After "Camila" was kicked off the stage in a dramatic stunt (symbolising Camila’s departure from the Fifth Harmony band) Havana rised Camila to another level, slowly but steady it became one of the biggest hits of 2017. year, leaving Fifth Harmony in shadow and forgoten. Camila is possiblly worst enemy to other pop girls like Selena, Ariana and Taylor... people could stuck up rlly seriouly to her cute innocent face.

Do you miss 5H or you support Camila as solo artist?

"Feels" showed us another side of Calvin, chilled out, funky, and TBH Katy was featured artist, but it became for Katy biggest success while she failed to bring success with her solo music.

"Feels" is lovely eye catching video.

Did you enjoyed to see in one music video both people that Taylor is in war with?

Biggest revelaing for me is this guy named Arca.

Arca recently wrote:
"the vid where I bleed out my hole cuz a bull impales me and tghen it rains white rose petales over my limp body just reached a million views wtf"

Yup, Arca rlly explained it good.

I wonder do you guys understand Arca's artistry and his visuals?

Desafio, Reverie or Anoche?

Lorde's "Melodrama" and "Green Light" was one of the best critically acclaimed album and song of the 2017. year.

Does Lorde has green light from you guys?

When we speak about comebacks this year, Ke$ha's comeback is really rising like a Phoenix.

Beautiful, powerful and meaningful.

New Ke$ha that everyone was shocked to hear, and she's delivering some real and srslly vocals :o .
True anthem.

Was Ke$ha's comeback and message good enough to get some votes from you?

IMO best Katy Perry's song is CTTR. Lovely relaxing pop song. I love the production of it, nothing's over top in this song.

Katy delivered MV for this in her usual way, lot of colorful visuals, lot of colors, futuristic pastel video.
Sadly, but with this song everything turned down for Katy, 2017. year was def not hers. Hopefully she'll recover from this year.

In last years editions, Katy was always as one of your faves music video artist, can she hit some good position this year with CTTR?

One of the hottest female name out there in 2017. year was SZA, critically acclaimed from both critics and fans.
Even real Drew Barrymore approved it :D

Supermodel, Love Galore, Solange Knowles directed The Weekend video or just Drew Barrymore? It's up to you!

On of the most depressing bands ever put in their new music a lil bit of hope, and upbeat moments.
In their "I Dare You" music video stars Millie Bobby Brown, Ernesto Cervantes, Paris Jackson, Lulu, Ashton Sanders.

Do you like that 90's vibe in their recently music videos?

Speaking of sadness, depression, nostalgia... there is one and only Lana Del Rey.

Lana released new album this year, following by lead single "Love". Lana sounds so much happier and hopeful on this one.

And then she released music video for "Love", and she's smiling throuh it :o I guess we've all been shocked and confused but it brought so much joy and smile on your face too.

Did you liked Lana's smile and the video?

*my personal pick
Genre: Pop, electropop
+ A flop by UKMix standards (who is an unknown NZ pop singer as well), who got several shoutouts from Lorde but it wasn't even enough to make this video reach 100k views. I hope Chelsea won't give up though

+ OK Go is one of the few acts which is deliberately focused on providing creative visual content.
So they're obviously contending to be in the list of best music videos of 2017 with their new efforts, made with the help of printers. :D

Genre: Punk

+ The interactive music video where you can play for each of the band members. Your mission: take their managerial duties, which is by no means easy.

Genre: Alternative Metal, Gothic Metal

+I was trying to get my head around any good metal music videos this year, but except for Lacuna Coil there were barely any good ones.
Lacuna Coil is an italian metal band and they've chosen a crime TV series type of a music video concept. In their case it consists of two parts: "Blood, Tears, Dust" & "You Love Me 'Cause I Hate You"

Genre: Indie Pop, Indie Rock

+Wes Anderson-inspired, cinematic music video managed to make a splash for Parekh & Singh in their native India.

+ Speaking about non-English language songs, here is one tumblr-esque highlight of 2017.
By the way, it did quite alright at our FSC.

+Here's a very cinematic entry by a French indie pop/soul band Isaac Delusion.
You may take this into consideration as well, it's perfectly shot and has a dramatic quality.

Oh, I will do a short summary.
P.S. Or maybe it's my evil plot to stop the basic boring pop throwaway american rubbish acts from winning
Just kidding, they'll win anyways.

A little summary of music video worth voting for in the 2017 countdown
Hip-hop
Young Thug - Wyclef Jean - the music video that never happened
Danny Brown - Ain't It Funny - 90s sitcom styled music video, which emphasizes the problem of the society vs. the addiction
Tyler, The Creator - Who Dat Boy - this is some insane music video 8-)
Electronic music
The Blaze - Territory - a very cinematic, emotional story of acceptance in the modern world
Cassius, Pharell Williams feat. Cat Power - Go Up - kaleidoscopic
Mondo - Grosso - ラビリンス - somehow, this got much more popular outside of Japan
Avalon Emerson - One More Fluorescent Rush - hectic music video, but fully in tone with the electronic background
Pop
Rina Sawayama - Cyber Stockholm Syndrome
Jain - Dynabeat
Poppy - Computer Boy - or any of her other music videos
Alternative/Indie
Högni - Komdu með - where would music be without Iceland
James Blake - My Willing Heart - beautiful music video, starring Natalie Portman.
Lomboy - Loverboy - the whole of tumblr compressed into a single music video
Kevin Morby - City Music - turning this music video into a biopic
Paramore - Hard Times - featured in some "end of year" lists as well, pretty colourful
Memes, comedy
Donny Benét - Konichiwa - another very random, 80s inspired music video
