From what I heard, EMI will be re-releasing Aaliyah next year.

This is such a quality R&B album.

My favourite album tracks are:
Never Givin Up
Never Comin Back
Heartbroken

I really don't like the album version of 'Hot Like Fire' though.

One in a Million (song) is really good. I read before that Mariah was inspired to make "Babydoll" because of that song. :D

My favourite Aaliyah album. Although there are some weak tracks like the Rodney Jenkins and the Jermaine Dupri tracks but the rest really great. The tracks flow well together. My favourites are "One In A Million," "Heartbroken," "4 Page Letter," If Your Girl Only Knew," and "The One I Gave My Heart To." Such a good album.

She still is tbh, her influence goes way beyond the R&B genre. I was at the concert of a trip-hop electronica artist (Jamie Woon) last week and he played his own version of Try Again, it was magical. Her music and name still have a particular aura, I don't know how to explain that.

The title track still sounds so fresh today.
Aaliyah's angelic vocals and Tim's beats are a match made in ... heaven

But why? The more people that legally hear this classic album the better.

This album is 20 yes twenty years old now!!!! It is a complete classic that can be listened to from track one to track seventeen. Some of Timbaland's earliest and greatest productions are on this album. Very influential album.

Who owns her catalog now? It would be sad if her back catalog is mismanaged like that. :-? :-?

Brilliant album, so timeless. This was when R&B was at it's best.

All her albums were up here on UK iTunes a few years ago. Now it's just her first 2 and her Ultimate best of :-?

I really like this album btw. Without a doubt my favourite from her. Can't believe it's 20 years old.

Why is this not streamed on Spotify? That Blackground records are such a mismanaged team, it's crazy...

Blackground records are no more lol. So none of their music is on any platform...unless you go to some random record store that still has old-esque albums.
