i remember JO WHILEY playing this on radio one and saying how great she thought it was and how people were saying Paris has a voice 'like an early madonna'.... :o

Listeners werent so kind.

I did love the fact people were rooting for a Paris Hilton song to do well though. I like it :D

Most people just 'don't like' the song because it is sung by Paris. If it just were a random girl singing it then I think people would've reacted differently. It's definitely not bad. Just a proper pop song that is easy on the ears and perfect for the radio in the summer

This has the exact same melody as UB40's Kingston Town.

There was legal action in 2007 because of this allegation, but nothing happened after that.

I was listening to this song just the other day; it's still as great as ever.

I much prefer Nothing in this Wolrd to this, I can't even recall how it goes. And no, the Kingston Town comparison doesn't help!

People always joke about Paris Hilton but the truth is that her album was quite a solid effort and Stars Are Blind still sound great years after its release.

"stars are blind" is cool, but the writers and producers that did the song for her stole UB40's flawless "Kingston Town" , so thats the only reason it sounds cool , its not hard to sound good by ripping a classic

This was a lovely summer tune. And I recall her album not being terrible which all things considering is a plus.

Stars Are Blind and Nothing In This World are excellent, but I think the album has a better reputation than it should, because the of these singles and because the expectations were low, overall it's poor

the Screwed demo was good too, but the album version album was a mess
