"Dirrty" was great, but this album would have been so acclaimed if they picked out a classier lead single. This was pretty much dismissed as a whole since people thought this was her Erotica when the whole album is far from that. "Beautiful" redeemed all of the initial impressions fortunately. This is one of the best pop albums of the 2000s.
Carey like Mariah.

Dirrty was a huge hit here, but I didn't like it. So I didn't buy the album in the first week (which I usually do when I like an artist). It wasn't until the release of Beautiful that I begin to think this might be a good album after all. But with Dirrty still on my mind I still didn't buy the album. I was wondering what the third single was gonna sound like. But then my sister bought me the album and I loved it!

I don't see how "Dirrty" is much different from "I'm a Slave 4 U".
Well, it might be a bit more dirrty

She wanted to shock the world and she did.
Of course it only didn't work in the US of A.
I guess her team saw it coming because they had the 2nd single ready to go.

I love Xtina and Britney, but those songs are among their worst IMO.

It's not about success. It's about the music
And really... whoooo still cares about success?! Everyone "Flops" these days (yes with 3-5 exceptions maybe till there "flopping" too) and everyone with expectations is delusional lol

I don't remember anyone being shocked by Dirtty if I'm honest. All I remember thinking is 'finally, Christina Aguilera's released something good'

She kinda lost her mojo after this. Comparing her to P!nk, Alicia, Beyonce, Britney and Kelly Clarkson, it's weird how Christina's mainstream appeal got stuck in this era.

After so many years, the album finally grows on me and I start to appreciate it more. When I continue listening to it the next weeks it will get even better I think. Don't know why it took so long to get into it

But I still think that Get mine get yours is the best album track and should have been a single, the song is so perfect

This is the most influential pop record of the 00s by a pop diva... The impact it's had after so many years is just incredible. Of course this is a masterpiece but the impact!! 8-)

It is also an album that will stay relevant topic wise and probably never will become irrelevant.

I think 'Underappreciated' is my least favourite. I still like it, but not as much as the other songs.

In the poll, I voted for:

- Walk Away
- Infatuation
- Beautiful
- Cruz
- Dirrty

I like Underappreciated but Walk away is boring
