Very underrated. Every song is good. No fillers.

It's her most cohesive one during the Island Def Jam era.

Ribbon is the clear filler on this.
But it's very cohesive, a lil' samey at times.
Just a DEVIANT, PERTURBED, DERANGED, MACABRE, MANIAC, LUNATIC, IRRATIONAL PSYCHO-TO-BE.

"Ribbon" was the closest thing she had on this album to a single release other than "Obsessed".

I have definitely warmed up to this album over the years but I do understand why some people hate it. It's very ballad driven and R&B heavy. I think this album sort of ended Mariah's string of hits as there was no obvious single apart from "Obsessed" and that is why this album is polarising with many people. I do think that this is her most consistent album since "Butterfly" imo.

^ But not a lot of people appreciate hundred Mariahs in a hundred vocal layers in a song. MOAIA is an album filled with layers and I think it never clicked with the GP. Only the Lambs love it.

While I do think this album is underrated, it's not very hard to understand why a lot of people never connected with it. But I concur this has to be her most cohesive work.

Single wise the album had options but the way things were handled kind of destroyed any hope for it .. After Betch gonn kno the next obvious single was sanding O

I don't know why Languishing was labeled just an "interlude." It's always been a full song to me. Must be because of its length? But whatevs. Add a couple of more secs on it, you'll have a 3-min song already.

I admit that I didn’t really care about this album back in that time, but it definitely grew on me within years.

Her most cohesive work imo, great lyrics overall as well. Wish the vocals were little bigger and better, but can’t complain.

Definitely WAY better than the Elusive Mess.

I kinda love that. One of the more creative moments in this decade. It’s a Wrap takes the crown for most original though.
