Music Box and Everything Fades Away are probably among my favourite Mariah songs ever.

These two are beautiful and very underrated, especially Music Box.

I think the whole album is very underrated among Lambs, I am like the only one who like it. I think it is too AC for them (as you wrote on the previous page).

I appreciate the album much more now for the gorgeous ballads and heavenly vocals.
I just have to skip the uptempo tracks :o

Her best selling album and probably her most forgotten (along with Emotions).

Don't think it's forgotten at all. The GP probably thinks of this album first.
Dreamlover, Hero and Without You are still regulars on radio.
Only Anytime You Need A Friend seems to be forgotten by radio. :-?

This was her first album that I really enjoyed as a whole. The previous two had lots of good songs, but I they were never complete listens for me.

Music Box was also released the week I moved away to college, so it has a special place, as do other albums from the summer and fall of '93.

This album obliterates discographies, in my opinion. It flows from excellence to excellence. Even "Everything Fades Away" is gorgeous, and has aged so well!
Franklin’s music profoundly touched and changed the world, because over and over it offered that bridge to salvation, to freedom.

Opposite for me. I played the Mariah Carey and Emotions from start to finish again and again.
Music Box was the first album, though I loved it, where I skipped two songs: Just To Hold You Once Again and All I Ever Wanted. I only appreciated those songs years later.

All I Ever Wanted is probably my favorite track on the album. I'm not a huge fan of Never Forget You, but I still like it in the mix. Dreamlover is such a fun single - one of my favorite leads from her.

I honestly don't understand some Lambs' "hate" towards this album. It's one of her best albums, vocally. Not on a technical aspect tho. Her first two, albeit both great records, she was a bit of a show-off. She was too busy convincing everyone that she had the pipes. I understand she needed that, but Music Box showcased she can "emote" her songs. I really appreciate the minimized vocal acrobatics on this album.

This has to be one of Mariah's greatest creations and something I want Mariah to be always remembered for.

Who else matters?
