There's a general Talk Talk thread in The Retro.

But I do think Such a Shame was a fantastic track - and indeed a shame that it was all but ignored in their home country, while most of Europe took it to its heart.

agree 100% , I remember this song was everywhere here in italy , radio , tv show , music tv , discoteque , spending months on the single chart ....and is still one of the recurrent songs on the contemporary radio
In Swiss the song was nr 1 for 5 consecutive weeks..not bad at all

One of the best tracks of the eighties and in my top 1000 all-time chart in the top 20! I love this song and "It´s My Life" too. Pity that this great band quite quickly disappeared from the scene.

It entered at 88 on the 25 March and reached 31 staying 7 wks.
These are its positions during that time:
88, 59, 44, 31, 47, 63, 82....
:)

Tracks like this...have made the history....miles away from the trash we hear today...The 80's were a magical period under many aspects!!
There's only one Queen
and that's MADONNA.

This is such a great song, as good as 'It's My Life'! What a pity that it flopped in the UK, but at least it was a top 10 hit all over Continental Europe reaching for example number 2 in Germany.
