I feel totally meh about the rest of the lineup, didn't even plan to go this year, but naturally they pull out one artist I really want to see every year. last time it was MGMT, now Paolo.

feel a bit bad paying for the entire thing only to see 1 person, but I guess it's worth it considering that regular concert tickets cost the same.

in the meantime I'm gonna try and get into some other stuff from the festival so I don't feel like wasting the ticket

^ Pleased you had a great time, I would LOVE to see him live!

I've just decided to play my Paolo playlist for the first time in a couple of weeks and I've been engrossed for the last hour or so listening to his stunning catalogue. Coming up on 5k last.fm plays!

Revisiting his Abbey Road performance of Iron Sky...

Absolutely sensational, certainly one of my all-time favourite live performances.

I can probably say goodbye to the next hour or so - once I've listened to one Paolo song, I have to listen to at least 20 more. #Paolofix

Sadly he didn't go as stratospheric as I expected him to. But he's amazing performer. His live shows are just fabulous

Had a George night last night, having a Paolo night tonight - revisiting his entire catalogue (well his 3 albums anyway  along with some live performances thrown in).

My all-time favourite Paolo song is a toss up between No Other Way and Alloway Grove, I think Alloway Grove/Northern Skies edges it tonight though. The lyrics to Northern Skies get me every single time:

I've have returned to the Northern Skies
Where the summer had not touched
The clouds that pass above
Oh and I have returned to the somber greens
Of the days too early to come and too early to stay
And I have left a million stars
And an ocean so lightly, so clearly blue
And I have left the warmth of the sun
And a million adventures not yet begun

The great sense of passing through
The great sense of passing through
The great sense of passing through

Oh for once there was beauty, here for me
Under these white northern skies
And I felt the green was blacker
And the blue was darker still
My roots are lying deeper
Then I ever think they will again
Heartache and poetry
Under these northern skies

The great sense of passing through
The great sense of passing through
The great sense of passing through

Tell me there's a hotter man - there simply cannot be.

His absence from the music industry breaks my heart, give me new music King Paolo!

The Paisley singer was in the famous Willow Tea Rooms in Buchanan Street today where he posed with a member of staff.

The tea room staff shared their delight about the visit on the social media website Facebook.

A statement said: "No work done this afternoon, everyone too busy chatting to Paolo Nutini shown here with one of our supervisors Mhairi. Thanks for visiting us at Buchanan Street."

Paolo Nutini, 31, is best known for hits Candy, Rewind and 10/10.

Inspire by the works of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the Willow Tea Rooms are popular with tourists and locals alike.
