I must be in the minority but I never enjoyed ISB. I think the song is not worthy of Mariah. The melody is so two dimensional and the range is too small. Mariah tried to improve it with loads of vocal acrobatics and belts and textures but no - it just illustrated even more that the basic bones of the song was inferior. In fact, Mariah had so many tools available to her (texture, range, melisma etc) that it probably made the song sound worse cos the song couldn't handle it!Shaka wrote:I wonder if "When You Believe" performance from that same day has dubbed parts as well.
Anyway, the dubbing here was totally unnecessary. Love the rasp.

!!! an album with no collaborations would be amazing tbh, give us 10-11 tracks of slayage and no filler she can throw in a target bonus or something idcTheRealest wrote:She really doesn’t need to collab with anyone, especially not the people y’all want her to work with. Solo bops only girl.

She's SO reserved as a vocalist (I don't know if people actually realize that, she's always at her 60% LMAO and that really irks me) and - besides nodules - nerves take away the best of her.
thank you King Shaka
I don’t think she’s done any. And that’s not a bad thing, but I don’t think she’s been in album mode recently, since she’s been really busy with her family, getting in shape, celebrating the holiday seasons, and concerts.RayRay wrote:Is there anyone close to Mariah that knows how many songs are done for the new album?
