"Mariah's World" had mixed results against the Golden Globes.
Facing competition from the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards, Sunday’s “Mariah’s World” dipped in the adults 18-49 demographic but posted a slight gain in total viewership.
According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s episode drew a 0.25 adults 18-49 rating and 0.55 million total viewers. Last week’s episode garnered a 0.26 in the demo but only 0.54 million total viewers.
“Mariah’s World” led into E!’s “The Royals,” which drew a 0.26 rating and 0.54 million viewers (up from the 0.20 and 0.46 million drawn last week).
Not sure what some were complaining about but it seems that we can't really call 0.55 million viewers for a docu/reality series on E!, based on one person, a flop? The last few episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians only drew in double the viewers when they need an entire family, with much higher costs?
I'm hoping for a series 2. I'm seeing some potential for it.
