We had pop dance albums for years...
My only concern is that they named this album her most personal yet. We all know "Impossible Princess" will forever be her most personal no matter what.
That's indeed worrying.

I dislike the "most personal albums" by Britney (Britney Jean) and Hurts (Desire). Isn't that a commomly used phrase of artist when they can't say anything else about an album?

However, if Kylie wants to give us more tracks like "Flower", I'm in ;)

The term "personal album" is so common nowadays... Words get meaningless when overused... :-?

However, Kylie rarely gets personal... The only personal songs that i can think of right now released after the "Impossible Princess" era are "Flower" and "Cosmic". In other words, i don't expect Kylie to be so "peronal" after all. :P

Think about it. I even got mad the moment i read that it was there when she changed the direction for the album!
You could have met her in a critical stage of the creation of the new album! :o

I hope this won't be her "Younger Now". I'd be immensely disappointed if the album is country inspired.

The Headless Postman over on Sayhey mentioned that is not country. I can't remember how he said it though.

If you look at the producers, Biif and Sigala, I would say it won't be country.

When she signed her new deal we were promised a "return to form Kylie pop album" so I'm feeling a bit tentative about it now it seems it won't be quite that true.

Writing at Nashville =/= serving country.
Nashville writers are perfect for storytelling and great melodies.
+ writing =/= producing.

With the exception of Body Language we've had a pop/dance album from her with every record she's released this century. A change in sound is more than welcomed in my opinion.

I believe and hope that not the entire album was written/produced in Nashville...
According to her instagram she worked a lot in London too. (thanks God!) :)

"X" was not that dancepop tbh... However, a change in sound is indeed welcomed! :P

Somehow Kylie has mini eras that sounded so good, but wasn't an album.

I feel like the "Ultimate" era would have made a great album.

Also the "Kylie+Garibay" era would have made a great album as well.

Maybe that's what makes them so special to me. They are certainly unique, and remain some of her best songs to me.

An awesome poster over on Sayhey named "Dano", posted this, just to have all gathered info together.

People working on the album so far:

- Jim Elliot
- Sigala
- The Invisible Men
- Kazz Poole
- Biffco
- Seton Daunt (with Biffco track)
- Sky Adams
- Twinnie
- Amy Wadge (apparently for Sky Adams track and Chris de Stefano)
- Nathan Chapman (Nashville sessions)
- Chris de Stefano
- Telemitry
- DJ Fresh
- TV Noise

Album recording: HELP complete please.

- London
- Los Angeles
- Nashville

More news:

- Video will be shot in December, before Christmas, apparently on the US.
- Lead single is outlined for mid-late January 2018
- Album will follow right after, looks like there's no plan for it to launch after a second single, so February or March 2018 *could* be a possible release date for the album.
- She will make a tour in 2018.

What we know of the album so far:

- The album is inspired by "a little bit of heartbreak", a track or so about Joshua
- Most of it is super positive and inspiring, "as a note to self as much as anything else, I’m feeling great right now."
- The songs are very storytelling and story-based. "It was so great to do things a little bit differently", so we are to expect something personal <3
- She is writing songs
- The Nashville sessions were crucial for the album, "I went to Nashville for two weeks and that became the album. I did a lot of work on the album before that but Nashville had a profound effect on me".
- She certainly did a lot before so, only time will tell if she scrapped or changed directions in the process like she did on Aphrodite or Kiss Me Once.
- The lead single could be about her breakup with Sasse, it was mentioned before that the Sigalla track was up to be the lead single, no information if both of these are related.

more:

- She wants to be controversial on this record
- A song about gay rights is also on the making
- She wants people to start conversations with this record

I'm excited for the Sigala, DJ Fresh, TV Noise and Karen Poole tracks.

Not really keen on her wanting to be controversial, Sexercise hardly set the world alight last time.

Maybe not controversial in a sexual way, but more in a political way. Maybe she upset about certain situations.

I hope there's a banger like Speakerphone on upcoming album. That song gives me so much life (along with Madonna's Impressive Instant).

OMG! THP is spilling some tea!!

THP:
The single, by the way, is a risk. It's different intentionally. Thank god. Kylie is always at her best when she's brave.

Still uptempo stuff on there. The original reference was Janet's That's The Way Love Goes. It's not a million miles from that, but Nashville has influenced it.
