It's about time she had a hand in the writing/production process of her music rather than just doing vocals and having the cover photoshoot. She has it easy compared to other artists who do everything themselves.
Has it easy? :o Hardly.
She so does. In the studio - record some songs someone has wrote for her - back home. Later on, tour - lip 1/2 plenty of the songs, like the TC tour - back on hiatus.
I do like Celine, don't think I'm a hater.

She really doesn't have it easy - she promoted the hell out of her Taking Chances tour. Whilst we're on that subject, she sang to pre-recorded tracks on selected material, or she lipped occasional notes - she did not mime half the tour!

Still, she's meant to be this amazing singer. If she can't hit certain notes these days she should just lower the key.

Have you not heard her most recent live DVD? She can still hit the notes - her DVD is 100% live. Its just she can't go out every night, and sing every note anymore. She did over 140 dates in something like 8 months, immediately following 4.5 years of Vegas shows (over 720 shows); added to this, she has an incredibly fragile voice.

I'm not trying to make excuses for her - this is just the way it is! :P

What next?

Why have so many shows if she can't do them? Bad management?

I think its remarkable that she's getting the same amount of money for Vegas as she did before, for a lot less shows - she's such a draw!

that has nothing to do with management. all over the world, a show like hers 5 nights a week (ans in a desert) which is considered more of a theatrical experience, singers always lip many songs. she just lipped half of her vegas show, so that is better than the rest. her vegas show is based around her voice AND the visuals.

Just seen an advert for her new live CD/DVD. Can't believe how imaginative the name of it is. 'The Concert'

 She already had Live In... LV!
I thought she'd have gone with, at least, The Taking Chances Tour or something.

I don't see why people are wiggin out about the possibility of Celine working with Guetta.
Soaring vocals + hard beats could = HOTNESS
Cher and Miss Kelly tackled dance and won so there's no reason why Celine couldn't.
I love her to go all out with different genres this time around. I'd even like to see her work with Will.I.am after the hotness that was their little remix of "Eyes On Me", oh and some rock please Celine.
Happy endings are just stories that haven't finished yet...

Celine should tackle on Bollywood style of singing,it will be interesting to see how it turns out :o

She should do pop-dance - nothing too fast or fancy..something in the vein of I'm alive/I drove all nite.

And,please do some promotion woman...that too target some young audiences.

Selling 3.5m copies WW and not getting press must be more dire than flopping hardcore

^ Hardly! :P

She won't sell 3.5m copies of this album anyway - especially not if its a concept album. I think she'll be a 2m+ seller, which in itself is great!

Call me whatever you want, but I think she has easily 4 million copies locked with the upcoming album. Especially if she goes back to the "long gown" type of songs, she seems to be gravitating towards either way (didn't she say that in that recent article :P?). She hasn't released a studio album since 2007. Anticipation is high and Celine's fanbase is truly faithful to her. Yep. I think 4 million copies are guaranteed.

And this is whilst she's pregnant!  Hardest working woman in showbiz!

Yes, but as long as there's some "Have You Ever Been In Love"-esque ballads on there I'm one happy Céline fan. 8-)

At the end of the day, a new album is a new album. New songs for new album! :P So until we get confirmation, we can't say for sure! :)
