I thought my ex might be talking out his ass but this has been reported on Perez (not a good source usually) AND her official site....

"Hi hello!

How are you? I’m really good, if you wanna see me being interrogated by Piers Morgan check me out on ITV1… on Saturday night. Yes I will admit I do cry, it could have been a massive blub - but I manage to contain it…!

I was away last week and ended up skiing down a black run which was so much fun, if a little scary.

And guess what, I’m back in the studio…. which I’m really enjoying. So I’ve been playing lots of music in the house which Bluebell and I have been dancing around to. I have discovered that Bluebell loves Lady GaGa! Great taste huh?

So the other day my mother is bathing Bluebell and is trying to persuade her to wash her hair, or she’d get ‘fleas’ and my 3 year old daughter replied to her Nana “I’m rather suspicious of the crap coming out of your mouth!”

Omg - where did she learn that!??? Ooooh dear!!

Wrap up warm with all the cold weather on the way,
Big hug
G xx"

So am I the only one CHUFFED to the back teeth that Geri is working on music again ?!?!
I think she's had great tracks on all 3 previous releases (her 1st, I think, is one of the best debut albums from a pop artist) and "Passion" was given up on way too easily.
So do we think it's the long rumoured Greatest Hits or a brand new album ?
Either way the news has brightened a somewhat boring day for me and hopefully some of you guys.!

Geri's music has always been surprisingly good, despite her lack of vocal ability!
I'd welcome a new album personally.

Gee I must be waaaay out of the loop, lol.
I'm glad at least of the Spice Girls (and my favourite) has decided to get back into music but there was a wasted oppourtunity after the reunion for ANY of them to come back in a big way.
I'm so happy Geri is feeling the need to make music again. "Desire" was criminally ignored and "Love Never Loved Me" never being released was a HUGE mistake as well.
Even if it does end up being a Greatest Hits venture it's a pretty impressive start with...

1. Look At Me
2. Lift Me Up
3. Mi Chico Latino
4. Bag It Up
5. It's Raining Men
6. Scream If You Wann Go Faster
7. Calling
8. Ride It
9. Desire

and I'm guessing 3 new tracks to round it out.
It makes one wonder what would've happened if Geri was allowed to record "Some Girls" instead of Rachel Stevens and allowed to release the album SHE wanted to but the past is the past.

Her daughter sounds amazing.

As for a new album, is it really necessary? I think she should just record a really massive track and release a greatest hits + a tour to really get her name out there before releasing a new album.

She's not a particularly great albums artist but her singles are massive. Love Never Loved me should have been the second single instead of Desire!

She went a bit tacky toward the end, started off great but 6 years later she wasn't relevant anymore and some of her "Ride It" performances were embarrassing, flinging herself all over the stage like a lunatic.

That said she's easily my favourite Spice Girl so I welcome any return for her!

I guess we'll have to wait and see what these recording studio sessions ammount to but if she really has been at it for a few months my guess is there would be a fair ammount of material being created.
Either way I'll be happy for a new Geri tune or tunes and if she ever does tour I'll be booking my ticket over to the U.K !!!
Quick question, does anyone know if Geri's version of "100% Pure Love" leaked in full and HQ ?

I love a bit of Geri and would love a new album!

And I definitely agree with the person who said her not releasing Love Never Loved Me was a big mistake! In fact there were quite a few impressive tracks from her Passion album!

I can't wait to watch her interview on Piers Morgan's show tonight!

I know DaBoi, I'd resigned myself to no more music from Geri and then she springs this on us!!!
I'm wondering what style of music she'll bring this time around ?
I know there were her jazz influences on "Passion" and she said that she'd love to do a jazz album one day (which I think her voice would oddly suit) but when I think of Geri I think of barnstorming, big, brash, pop tunes.

Nice photoshoping! lol
Rumour mill is buzzing that the new material my be jazz influenced like some of the tracks on "Passion" OR an album of jazz standard covers...
I can't imagine music snobs appreciating a former Spice Girl tackling jazz classics but I think Geri's vocal would suit it.
Personally I'm hoping for something as ecelectic as "Schitzophonic" because I think that was her most solid album as a whole.
In the grand scheme of things though anything is better than nothing.

incredible "Passion" was released 5yrs ago and it was such a massive mega-flop  i guess she should deliver luxurious POP music instead of much too dance style

I always knew she would go back to music, but I thought we would have a long long wait to go still. I'm not expecting anything major though - as far as anyone is aware she has no record contract, and she made a big deal of mentioning she completed her EMI contract (i.e. trying to get across the fact she wasn't dropped).

I'm not sure if the passion is there though for her to go the full hog and make it huge, I'm thinking this is most likely something low key for the her own ego and the fans. She'll probably do a few performances in and around London, a few signings and that'll be it.

There was always talk that EMI wanted to release a Greatest Hits compilation but I can't see anyone buying one at this stage in her solo career.

Nothing other than a Greatest Hits compilation will work for her.
