I just love the fact that she acts so normal and relaxed - most of the celebrities would never dare to share pics like these with the world :D

By the way, Sara posted this recently on Twitter:

https://twitter.com/SaraBareilles/statu ... 8587355136

I wonder if those are new songs for the album. Or maybe this will just be another EP. I do hope for at least 2 more songs, 3 songs is very short.

And here is her brilliant performance of What The World Needs Now:

It's not for her campaign. Radio show This American Life asked Sara to write a song about what Obama thinks of the elections.

I think it is a great song, the melody is so catchy and lyrics are strong., you can really hear it is Sara's work. I would love to hear her sing it as well, but Leslie did a great job.

My mistake. But it's really poingnant and we can really notice Sara's mark on the lyrics and melody. I hope she'll sing it somewhere someday.

She loves to please the fans so if a lot of requests come through Twitter, maybe she will sing it on tour sometime in the future.

This has been a very successful year for her, the musical is a hit and once again she is respected by important people. I would love to see her having more recognition by the masses because she deserves to be popular as Adele is for example - in my eyes Sara is vocally and especially as a songwriter better than Adele. But at least her peers respect her, the fact that she was nominated for the Album of the year at the Grammy's says a lot.

Right now, I would love more than anything, if in the future she announces a bigger tour, outside USA. If she tours Europe, i would go see her.

Sara has been nominated for Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album.

Now that Hamilton is not in the picture, I actually think Waitress has a chance of winning. The play had a great buzz, very good reviews and it even broke a few records. I don't know anything about other nominees though, they are:

"Bright Star"

"The Color Purple”

“Fiddler On the Roof”

“Kinky Boots”

Here is a nice interview with Sara and Jessie talking about the musical BUT at 19:20 she admitted her priority is now making a new record - she told her label it will be done by the end of the year but she doesn't sound that confident :D

Interesting that Sara said in that interview "never say never" and Billboard is always a strong source:

A shame Sara didn't win a Grammy. I really thought she will this time. I wonder will they ever award her, this was her 5th nomination, I think she really deserves it.

Sara to make her Broadway debut!
Waitress composer-lyricist Sara Bareilles will replace Jessie Mueller in the role of master pie baker Jenna in the Broadway musical March 31 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre after the Tony-nominated star plays her final performance March 26.

Singer-songwriter Bareilles previously sang much of the score on her concept album for the show, What's Inside: Songs from Waitress, released six months before its Broadway opening. The role will mark her Broadway acting debut. She will play a limited engagement in the role through June 11. No replacement after that date has been announced.
I was hoping her announcement was going to be a new album but this is amazing just as much! She is taking so many strides in her career, first writing a broadway musical, now performing in it :D

Too bad I can't see the musical but I am looking forward seeing the reviews - I hope she will be great in the role, just as she is in everything she does.

Yeah, there is a thread just for the single.

I love the song, its definitely a grower, I like it more with each listen. The bridge is amazing.
