From Rap-Up

Usher Explores ‘Revolutionary’ New Sound

Image

Usher’s ready to start a revolution. The “OMG” singer, who is currently in the early stages of recording his next LP, is setting out to create a new genre of music on the follow-up to last year’s Raymond v. Raymond. Instead of dipping into Euro-pop like he did in 2010, Ursh is planning on making an album’s worth of “Revolutionary Pop.”

“I’m a consumer of culture and love mixing styles and inspirations, both in my music and my style,” the superstar told StyleList. “I’m working on a new genre of music—Revolutionary Pop—which combines several music genres to create a new sound experience.”

His fauxhawk also reflects the style of music he wants to develop with his seventh studio album. “I love that people are talking about the new hair, it represents who I am now and the creative movement of Revolutionary Pop,” he stated.

Though details are scarce surrounding the new project, Usher will be teaming back up with songwriter Rico Love, who penned his recent hits “Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home)” and “There Goes My Baby.”

Every single time an artist says is about to "change the game" or will release a fresh, unique or revolutionary sound, always it turned into something that everybody is doing. But I can't wait to listen it.
to the infinity and Beyoncé.

I don't want him to ditch his RnB sound completely. Don't get me wrong, I like his Pop tunes but I definitely prefer his smooth RnB tracks... 8-)

Via Yahoo.com: Usher and Slash are heading to the Super Bowl.

A person familiar with the plans for Sunday’s halftime show told The Associated Press that R&B star Usher and former Guns ‘N Roses guitarist Slash are slated to make surprise appearances.

The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity Wednesday, because the musicians’ performances were not going to be announced.

Usher and Slash are supposed to join the Black Eyed Peas, who are the main halftime act for Sunday’s NFL championship game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers at Cowboys Stadium.

Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am is featured on Usher’s hit single “O.M.G.”

Does anyone know anything about the album? Everyone he is working with is so hush hush about it! I heard, and this is just a rumor, that he ditched the Rev pop sound, then I heard he was gonna do more dance songs with urban tracks here and there, and I recently heard he was going back to his confessions era of music the suspense is killing me!!!!!

I haven't heard anything about Usher since this time last year.

I would personally love to see songs like Bad Girl, My BOO, How Do I Say, Pro Lover, and add a little OMG just for the sake of a hit and I'm good!!!

A fresh-sounding, predominantly R&B record, with a few dance hits here & there to keep radio happy, would be fine.
Photoshoot fresh... I'm about to call the paparazzi on myself.
