Eminem should be a Video Vanguard recipient at the VMAs, he actually deserves it more than Justin Timberlake since his music videos have had more impact.

Watching this VH1 Ultimate Album Documentary (The Marshall Mathers LP), has got me excited for the sequel.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHkvjlyf4iY

Hopefully it won't disappoint. Relapse, Recovery and Hell: The Sequel were good but not consistent enough. I am expecting big things from MMLP2.

to celebrate mmlp2 being released, im doing 7 days of eminem where ive been listening to the albums in order each day and seeing how they all hold up back to back.
im currently on #4 - encore and its still such a strange listen. the first 6 tracks are great until puke where the lyrical content becomes lazy and the worst on any em album. the album picks up around mockingbird (great track) but its a really hard listen.
just lose it is so weird with his random attack on michael jackson (where did this come from? youre better than that em...)

the first 3 albums have definitely stood the test of time though, the eminem show sounds even better on hindsight seeing as it was released after his masterpiece, mmlp.

from his first 4 albums, id say my fave ever tracks are:

guilty conscience, brain damage, role model, 97 bonnie & clyde
stan, way i am, bitch please II, kim
without me, the triple threat awesomeness of sing for the moment, superman and hailies song, when the music stops
mockingbird, yellow brick road

recovery tomorrow and its 29 length track list which i think has some amazing songs like beautiful, deja vu, insane, 3am and my mom

Big Sean On Eminem's "I Decided" Feature: "This Is Like A Brand New Energy"

On February 3, Big Sean’s fourth studio album I Decided. is scheduled for release and before the big day, the Detroit rapper took some time to chop it up with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 radio about creating the project and collaborations that appear on it.

Fellow Motor City native Eminem is one of those few collaborators Sean spoke about. He’s featured on a song called “No Favors,” a track Sean Don reveals that he couldn’t see anybody else featured on and according to Zane, Em doesn’t even sound like himself. The two had previously collaborated on Slim Shady’s “Detroit vs. Everybody” track.

“He was the only person I heard that could be on that song to keep it honest,” Big Sean says. “It kinda reminded me of why I am such an Eminem fan, and why I fell in love with Eminem’s work. The way he’s unique, he’s special…When he did this verse it brought that feeling right back to me. Like, this is like a brand new energy.”

The-Dream is also featured on I Decided. with a track called “Sunday Morning Jetpack,” as one of the few contributors on the project and Sean also says got the chance to play his work for André 3000 and Rick Rubin.

After its release and fans have memorized every single song, the I DECIDED. Tour will be in full effect starting March 17 in Houston.

Eminem's Definition of 'Stan' Added to Oxford English Dictionary

Eminem's definition of "Stan" is now Oxford-approved.

Rewind to 2002 when Slim Shady released the Dido-assisted track about an overzealous fan named Stan who writes a letter to the Detroit rapper. As Exclaim! points out, the Oxford English Dictionary has plucked his version of the word, defining "stan" as both a noun ("An overzealous or obsessive fan of a particular celebrity") and a verb ("Be an overzealous or obsessive fan of a particular celebrity").

The dictionary also lists the origin of the word as "Early 21st century: probably with allusion to the 2000 song “Stan” by the American rapper Eminem, about an obsessed fan." Even the OED's sample sentence for the noun makes a reference to a "rap god," which was the title of a 2013 Eminem song: "He has millions of stans who are obsessed with him and call him a rap god."

This wouldn't be the first time an artist's lingo has made the dictionary: Kanye West's "cray," Drake's "YOLO" and Beyoncé's "Bootylicious" were previously added to the OED.

EMINEM to feature P!NK for his new single

I'm not sure what to think. :-? Two of my least favorite Eminem singles are the twos where he got Rihanna on the hook because they're both awful and very generic. So I really don't know about the idea of him having another Pop girl on the hook for his lead.

i've been starving for some new Eminem stuff and if it even includes P!nk, I am even more excited.
love his verse on 'Here Comes The Weekend' and 'Won't Back Down' (and LTWYL) was the reason I bought 'Recovery' back in the day (and discovered his stuff). 8-)

Eminem has been announced as the musical guest on SNL on 11/18. I'm getting "surprise" album release vibes.
