The cover's actually really great, minus the messy red font for his name.
His music has been really on point too, this era. I'll buy the album.
Photoshoot fresh... I'm about to call the paparazzi on myself.

Neyo calls out trey songs on his song writing. Neyo thinks trey's music is too sex filled honestly I agree with neyo. Trey has no substance in his music anymore. Trey had me with heart attack but all the other singles are back to square one! He is showing no growth in his song writing. Plus he needs to work with new producers. Trey had me hyped but I'm not anymore.....

Yeah Ne-Yo is kinda right. Trey has the potential to be one of the best in R&B in 2012, but he's clearly not there atleast yet to me, because his music is too much about sex and lacks substance.

I was hoping that with the break he took he would gather inspiration but it doesn't seem like it. Eventually the same formula will fail. I don't see this album going platinum I see 150-180K first week and 650K end

His thoughts on Drake's collabo with Aaliyah
“I think the song is dope. It’s good to hear Aaliyah’s voice. Just the concept of the song was dope and just to hear her singing completely unheard lyrics was amazing to me. I didn’t really judge it from a place like is it good enough, I was just happy to hear it.”

Three of R&B’s finest are joining forces this fall. Trey Songz has announced dates for his “Chapter V World Tour” with special guests Miguel and Elle Varner.

The international trek kicks off on November 17 in Atlanta and makes several domestic stops through the end of the year before heading to Europe. Miguel and Elle Varner will join Trey on the U.S. leg.

“As I enter this next chapter of my life, what better way than to celebrate with the very people who have made me who I am today; MY FANS and my Angels,” said Trey, who topped the charts over the summer with his fifth album Chapter V. “They are continuously there for me and as we embark on the ‘Chapter V World Tour,’ I plan on giving them the experience of a lifetime.”

Trey is excited to bring R&B newcomers Miguel and Elle Varner along for the ride. “I can’t think of anyone else I would rather share my stage with, than two artists who are at the forefront of our genre, Miguel and Elle Varner,” he said. “We’re moving R&B forward and I look forward to touching so many cities and countries over the coming months.”

Fresh off the release of his critically-acclaimed album Kaleidoscope Dream, Miguel will give fans a taste of his Kaleidoscope Dreams Experience. “The juxtaposition of sounds and styles between the three of us gives this bill a great dynamic,” said the “Adorn” singer. “It’s an amazing opportunity to educate our audiences about the different sides of R&B, which is my favorite part.”

An excited Elle Varner added, “I’m thankful that Trey has given me this opportunity and I am so excited to be on a tour with two of the dopest artists in R&B. As the only lady on the tour, I’ll be sure to keep the boys in line!”

Has anyone else heard his Intermission mixtape? It's pretty much the same bedroom anthem stuff Trey always does, but I like a few songs, particularly "Good Girls vs. Bad Girls".

I listened to it through it once (1 listen reviews ), it generally sounded like songs that didn't make the cut for Trigga, nothing really stood out for me. "Slow Motion" on the other hand from his next album is pretty decent.

For the record, I actually did like the Trigga album, it's my favourite album of his since Ready :o everything in-between those was following the typical Trey formula but lesser versions each time imo, with the exception of a some songs on each album (like Alone, Already Taken, I Do, Outside (Pt.1), Forever Yours, Almost Lose It).

Trigga is by no means the kind of R&B I want to hear an album full of at all, but there were some nice bangers (Touchin' Lovin', Dead Wrong, All We Do, Late Night) and a few really good songs (I Know (Can't Get Back), Hard To Walk Away, SmartPhones).

I'll generally always check out his projects but never have any expectations or have that same love for his music that I did around that 2009/2010 Ready era.

Trey Songz Arrested at His Detroit Concert After Destroying Stage

Image

Billboard wrote:Trey Songz was arrested after his concert in Detroit on Wednesday night (Dec. 28), police confirmed to Billboard.

Videos posted online show the Grammy-nominated R&B singer tearing down parts of the stage at Joe Louis Arena and throwing objects when the venue cut off his microphone and lights after its 11:30 p.m. curfew.

"He became irate and belligerent, and started throwing microphones, speakers, basically anything he could get his hands on," police said.

Earlier, Songz had been asked to end his "Big Show at the Joe" performance, at which point he declared to the audience: "If that happens, I love you no matter what. All I want to do is give you the best show I'm capable of giving ... If they cut me off … I'm going the f--- crazy." He then starts singing: "Go on and do it. Go on and cut me off."

The 32 year old, whose legal name is Tremaine Neverson, is being held at the Detroit Detention Center, facing charges of malicious destruction of property and resisting and obstructing arrest.

Detroit police said a sergeant who attempted to remove Songz from the stage was hit in the head with a thrown object and treated at the hospital for a concussion.

Songz retweeted a fan-shot video with the caption, "They turned off his mic so he fsu'd," and video shot from the side of the stage shows the singer pulling down parts of the backdrop.
Seems like a gross overreaction to me. :-?
