I'd like another HeadFirst-like record, but more into Italo Disco with added late 70s vibes (think Sally Shapiro but more commercial) , than fake 80s retro stuff but i have a feeling they'll get nasty looks again

Still love HF! :D

I have decided that for me felt mountain is their best album (at least at this point)... It never gets dull. Miss them...

Currently interested in discovering their discography.

What is their best album to start with? Or, what's your favorite Goldfrapp album and why?

I’d say Supernature. It’s my favorite one.
The catchiest, moat pop/mainstream, easy listening imo.

Agree. Supernature's the most pop/dancy-y; of course, w/their trademark electro-synths!
Silver Eye is a fine one b/c it gives an overview of all things Goldfrapp do, so there's both energized and softer sounds; I like, but probably not the place to start.
Felt Mountain is more laid-back. I still haven't gotten into that one.
Head First is a very 80s synth sound (almost like Olivia Newton-John) Took me awhile to like this one. Put it away for months; when I returned, then I liked it.
Black Cherry is most like Supernature. That's where I started, after catching this live performance on cable TV:
