I do not, I am excited for a new album because of the new song, I have not liked anything from her for a long time, the new song is nice.
Same here. Born to Die was my 2012 year-end #1 album, and it's been downhill for Lana since. Hopefully, "Love" is signalling a return to form.
Franklin’s music profoundly touched and changed the world, because over and over it offered that bridge to salvation, to freedom.

+1 "Born to Die / Paradise" was my everything that year, but the next 2 albums...

With "Love" I feel the hype again. It's like the last few years never happened and we still get the best of her.

I adored Born to Die, it's an incredible album with very little filler. However and I know I may be in the minority but I absolutely love Honeymoon, 24 is one of my all time favourites. The passage from Religion to 24 is amazing!

Now we have Love and I'm so excited about it and the new album. Love reminds me of the Born to Die era, I'm so glad she's back

I will never EVER understand the way so many Lana fans only seem to only have time for Born to die and paradise. For me, all of her albums are flawless in different ways. I LOVED the darkness of Ultraviolence, it felt deeper and more personal than BTD for me but I am aware of the label conflicts she had at that time probably making it a bad time for her.

Then when she came back with honeymoon I was just to so impressed by the production and her vocals. The production on that album is more lush and expansive than anything she had done previously and her vocals and the way she textured and overlapped vocals to create a new kind of sonic soundscape was breath taking.

For me, Lana along with Amy Winehouse are the artists of my life. I don't think it would be possible for Lana to make a bad album in my eyes.

She was my queen during Born To Die and Paradise. Then she lost me a bit for the next two albums but there was still some very strong material on both albums that I love. I just hope at some stage another of her albums can blow me away for the entire duration.

Love is gorgeous though. Great indication that the upcoming album will be good.

I need more trap inspired bops like High On The Beach and Freak. I'm sure I'm a unpopular opinion on that.

I've enjoyed all her stuff. The least would be Ultraviolence but I love the album title song and Brooklyn Baby.

I was hyped for her debut era because of 'Video Games' and 'Born To Die' but the album turned out to be boring for me.
'Ultraviolence' made her interesting for me, 'Honeymoon' was almost as strong as the sophomore record.

Her best single is still 'Video Games' though tbh. :)

Great post. 8-)

I also don't think Lana can make a bad album. All three albums are top quality imo.

Lana Del Rey Addresses Single Leak, Calls ‘LOVE’ a ‘Good Representation’ of Next Album’s Sound

Lana Del Rey is ready to return to the glossy, retro cinematic sound she claimed as her signature on 2012’s Born to Die.

After releasing her sweeping new single, “LOVE,” on February 18, the singer-songwriter chatted with the BBC about the sound of the track, as well as her forthcoming album.
“I guess the last two records…I definitely was in a place where I wanted to hear mood music,” Del Rey explained of her hazier, darker, more rock-oriented sound on Ultraviolence and Honeymoon. “Almost stuff that I would kind of like to listen to at home. You know, stuff I recorded live in a room with a band like all at once…”

Now, however, the pop star is ready for a “cleaner,” less grainy sound—just don’t expect her to ditch her vintage style altogether.

“Now that I’m a couple of years down the line away from the Ultraviolence record, I think I had more I wanted to say and I wanted it to come through a little bit more clearly, so it was fun to get back into that really big, like clean sound,” she continued. “[‘LOVE’] is a good representation of where [the album] headed, where the sound is headed.”

As for the new single, the performer addressed the rush to push the song out amid Saturday’s “LOVE” leak.

“I really love the message and I love the sound of the record, it has such a mix of everything I really love sonically. It came out a little bit earlier than I thought though,” she said, laughing. “It just started leaking the other day so we just got ahead of it and put it out! With social media it goes everywhere before you can even [say anything about it].”

To me I think of Born to die and Paradise as her version of The Fame and the Fame Monster. It was their peaks in terms of popularity and commercialism. Both the fame and BTD were successful and quite unique and the the follow ups were like a continuation of the original album but slicker and more clever and artistic and with more vision.

:'(

Then again, I wasn't too positive when Honeymoon came out - I didn't like the initial singles, but now love them. I find it hard to describe what I love on honeymoon, but there is just something special.
