Once again, she's doing well numbers against her peers. Almost more than both COMBINED.

Yet people love to claim her 1997-2000 hits are very payola'd and forgotten, while those 2 other albums have classic hits.
The Velvet Rope (original release) is at 70,046,061 (while 3 other versions listed as VELVET ROPE registered steams as well).
70 million is including video streams though.

ALBUM SALES: 3,263,783
ALBUMS W/TEA 3,333,111
ALBUMS W/TEA W/SEA ON-DEMAND AUDIO 3,366,373
ALBUMS W/TEA W/SEA ON-DEMAND 3,379,808
STREAMING ON-DEMAND 70,046,61

3,366,373 - 3,333,111= 33,262 * 1500 = 49,893,000 audio streams

Yeah the other versions also have streams, but I think those may be cases of double-counting? For example, adding their streams it's total audio streams go to 161,421,000.

Why would 70% of Velvet Rope streams be registered under random versions? Maybe 1-5% of streams would be believable.

STOP posting @chartdata info.

He is a poster here. He gets all his info from chart message boards and music websites.

Can a Mod delete those posts? Not necessary at all. Thank you.

^I cannot remember who. borderwolf probably knows.

He used to DM me on Twitter about RIAA certifications. Back when albums were not certified.

That does not include video streams. None of the videos from "The Velvet Rope" are available on YouTube/VEVO. Only some of her A&M videos are.

You don't have the information we do. :)

As it's listed as "Velvet Rope" released August 23, 2004

ALBUMS W/TEA W/SEA ON-DEMAND AUDIO
ALBUMS W/TEA W/SEA ON-DEMAND

There's 2 sections to specifically include just audio, and audio/video.

What would be the point of the first section if they both measure the same thing?

And they include video streams from fan-uploads.

In the event her label wanted to update its certification and they chose to use the TEA and SEA of this compilation for this album and not for each song parent album, I guess it could be certified 8xPlatinum (as it sold more than 2 million in club sales, if I’m not wrong).

Would love to see 'Emancipation of Mimi' and 'Merry Christmas' numbers. 8x platinum for #1's would be amazing....

Those releases above have sold a combined 832 copies last week. Not bad... since we are still missing her primary 00's albums and some BIG releases from the 90s: Debut, Emotions, Christmas and Unplugged, aöomgside TEOM, MCII, Greatest Hits, Charmy and E=MC2

Thank you!!!

So even just with pure sales only the Greatest Hits should be 2xPlatinum by now as it’s a double album.

for being certified as a double album, each side/CD needs to play for a certain length... I think that's the issue with it not being certified as a double album.

I'm disappointed by GH's weekly sales. Seems like Ballads has become her primary compilation album... smh (or i will be surprised and Infinity has magically sold 100k)...

But remember, The Ballads seems to be better stocked. GH does better on iTunes it seems.
