^ I think the same! I'm pretty sure this can do better than "Humanoid" did, even if it won't reach the top...

"Kings Of Suburbia" is released in France and already #1 on iTunes there :D

Well I still think the album can go #1, I'm sure it's selling well physically. The only problem I see is the Best Of by Sunrise Avenue...

Who else may be a competition for Tokio Hotel? I'd say Lenny Kravitz could do very well too, his song and album went up a lot on iTunes after 'Wetten, dass' (album still above TH on iTunes). Not sure about Sunrise Avenue, their album is #20 on iTunes. Sure, they sell more physicals and iTunes doesn't need to say something, but best of aren't the best sellers usually and they only got one Top5 album so far (their last one; #3), so i can't see them getting their first #1 with the Best Of...

Maybe Bryan Adams? Don't think he'll go #1 though...

^^ Yeah but the Sunrise CD/DVD is pretty expensive, 19.99 - as is TH (20.99), so I think that will make a difference...

Oh, and I just discovered Bizzy Montana. He has a box set for 37€ and we know how dedicated the hip hop fan base in Germany is...

Thanks for letting me know :)
So i'd say that Bizzy Montana (who? ) will be #1 looking at the other hip hop acts... then Lenny/TH Top3

...meanwhile, "Love Who Loves You Back" is up to #6 on german iTunes; "Kings Of Suburbia" is up to #1 on austrian iTunes :)

Good? You do know that all (?) of their previous singles debuted in the top 20? There doesn't seem to be some kind of comeback hype pushing it...

To be honest, it really isn't good at all. However, you can't completely compare it with the singles of their peak. Until 2007, Germany didn't have value charts - Love Who Loves You Back was sold for only 69 cent. In addition, I'm really sure that (nowadays) Tokio Hotel fans go and buy the CD album instead of a single download... still, I would have expected them at least in the Top 50, so yeah, it's not a good suprise indeed. But it looks like the mainstream is going to like it - so let's wait for a new peak next week :)

Oh don't worry guys, i obviously know we could have expected a better entry, my 'good' was just meant for its entry overall as it's the first official entry in their home country after several years :)

Also, we shouldn't forget that they had absolutely no hype before the 'Wetten dass' performance, mostly only fans knew about their new release and even most of their old(er) fans dislikes their new music..

There was quite a lot of hype regarding the comeback, so no, it didn't happen unnoticed.

And you will see the effect of this in the album charts next week.

Concerning the singles, I don't think there was a real "hype". Media was talking about the videos for GGAG and LWLYB (and the video for the latter one just came on October 1), but until radios started playing it last week and their Wetten Dass performance there wasn't really common interest in it... I thought their hardcore fan base has more power than pushing a single only to #94 though, but still, I didn't expect a Top 20 entry in the first week either. LWLYB is more of a grower, a real radio single aiming for longevity.

"Love Who Loves You Back" is down to #11 on german iTunes now, but "Girl Got A Gun" is up to #88...

I hope streaming is doing good as well, so we can get a Top15 notation next week.

Meanwhile, the album is already down to #113 on US iTunes, so i guess they won't get a third Top40 album there...

Since LHLYB is discounted, i guess that the song will not even chart inside the Top 30.

The Netherlands Top 100

23 [NE] - Kings of Suburbia

Humanoid reached #6. Then again, it only charted for 6 weeks.

Considering all these charts, is it selling good in general? I mean more than Humanoid or worse? I don't really know how to interpret the charts :-?

It was just released and is starting to make its debut on some charts right now, so we can't say it yet. But i would be surprised if this sells more, because their hype is gone and sales overall are down a lot compared to back when "Humanoid" was released.

What was "Humanoid"'s drop?
