LWLYB is having moderate success on German iTunes. What about the airplay?

Ouch! Many people expected this to happen... Not a good result for their comeback album!

^ yeah definitely... It's actually a shame, no one seems to buy their music now that they're making good music...

Swiss Charts

Out (65) Love Who Loves You Back

56 (11) Kings Of Suburbia

I'm disappointed they missed the US Billboard Top200 :(

The big comeback apparently failed.

I don't think they planned a "big comeback".
I think they were well aware it's 2014 and that they're branded with "Tokio Hotel" for the rest of their lives.

They're probably fine with the album not being #1. Just imagine the headlines for week 2.

They hyped their comeback for weeks, so yeah, they were expecting much better results. And keep in mind that comebacks can actually lead to an act being bigger than ever before, it could've happened to them as well...

First page updated.

Let's see if they can recover again and build up or if that's already the end of the 'comeback'

I don't think so. It happened the same with Humanoid, good first week sales and then big drops. But even if it was expected you can't blame then for doing some promo before the album release.

I'm very happy with the album. It is very good and definitely a big step in terms of quality. Now I want to see them live.

Humanoid didn't have good first week sales though, I assume that the album sold ~ 20k in Germany in its first week. That's modest at best.

-----

Portugal:
27 (NEW) Kings of Suburbia 1 week (No. 27 for 1 week)

Humanoid debuted at No. 2  ...

Then, if the last album didn't have good first week sales why is a surprise for you that the third one sell even less?
I'm sure that they really knew what the sales were going to be. We, as simple music fans, expected very modest sales and we have just bits of information form charts. I'm sure they have (or can have) much more information from all markets so they knew what was coming.

What do you mean when talking about the 3rd one? The 3rd one was the last one...

And don't forget that there's also some comeback hype, that one alone is meant to cause some sales...

Sorry, I meant the third english album.
If I'm not wrong they have Scream, Humanoid and Kings Of Suburbia.

This is probably their last album forever, look at these drops!!! :o :o :o
Never seen something like that! It's shocking, probably for them the most.
They needed a rest for many years and that's what they gonna get now.
Fans don't forgive.

There are acts coming back stronger than ever after a break; maybe Tokio Hotel hoped to be one of them...

Some acts have stronger fan bases. We forget Tokio Hotel came of age as a teen act. It can be hard to become an adult act (which is technically what 1D is trying to do now), especially when someone does it and know what they're risking.

Germany:
2 / 34 / 76

I feel so sorry for them, that's not what they deserve...
