Is it fair to deduce that he had the best year of any British artist in 2018? He must be on cloud 9.

Do you mean in the UK or worldwide? Because worldwide, that honor probably goes to Ed Sheeran, who's still charting in quite a few top 10s with his 2017 album.

I see. In that case, I would say it's Ezra with Sheeran being a close 2nd. As Sheeran's era has ended though, I feel like there's still something to come from Ezra and I wouldn't rule out a (2nd) week at No. 1 in the UK and Ireland - that Showman soundtrack really blocked his album for a while in both countries.
