“Hold My Girl” is the new official single and the video is out everywhere :D

If this reach the Top 20 I can see “Stayin at Tamara’s” selling like crazy during the Black Friday and Christmas.

Hold My Girl is on the verge of entering the top ten on UK iTunes; it had a nice surge following George's performance at BBC's Children in Need Rocks. Looks like it could be shaping up to be another hit for George. :D

Staying at Tamara's cracks the 500k mark in units this week. With a lucrative next few weeks in the run up to Christmas, a double platinum benchmark and certification is imminent. :D

I'd be happy if Hold My Girl hits top 20 at least. Top 10 would be much better ofc :D
Mariah saved Xmas and Gaga is saving Pop and Hollywood.

Me, almost 6 months ago:

I reckon Ezra will top out at between 500,000-600,000 this year if he has a successful Christmas with more to come next year.
8-)

I want that double platinum Mr Ezra, what a stupendous success this has been for him!

On the final of The X Factor next weekend. :D I think a high profile performance such as this is what Hold My Girl needs to catapult the song further up the charts. This is amazing exposure for George and guarantees a wonderful surge for the album throughout December. :D

9 (11) Staying at Tamara's
52 (61) Wanted on Voyage

25 (33) Hold My Girl NEW PEAK
30 (27) Shotgun

Hold My Girl climbs 18-13 on sales and pushes 68-55 on streaming. The X Factor appearance this weekend, even though it's flagging in ratings for its once high standards, is amazing promotion for George and should give the song a great surge next week. Nice to see the album back in the top ten too; I expect fantastic things for that next Friday. :D

What's he playing at!

Clearly a ploy to push the album (promoting one of the biggest #1's of the year) - probably a wise move IMO.

Is it? Performing a song that is already well known to the public, many of who will have picked up the record due to having became familiar with Shotgun and liking it already.

Alas, my theory is proven; look at how muted the effect has been:

Amazon UK

3. Staying at Tamara's [+2]
130. Staying at Tamara's [vinyl] [+17]

50. Wanted on Voyage

Amazon UK [digital]

23. Staying at Tamara's [+11]

2. Shotgun [+5]
31. Hold My Girl [-15]
64. Paradise [-25]

UK iTunes

12. Staying at Tamara's [+5]

13. Hold My Girl [-1]
14. Shotgun [+4]
58. Paradise [+24]

He should have performed Hold My Girl. I'm confident that the impact would have been much larger.
