Over 90,000 copies sold."

I knew this sort of thing would happen. Billboard include streaming + track-equivalent sales on the Billboard 200; then Marilyn Manson has his most successful/stable album since 2007, yet there's no improvement in his BB200 positions over his last release. This is probably gonna be #80 on Top Album Sales this week, yet what do wanna you bet that it'll be at #160 on the BB200? All because a load of kids are streaming "Get Dirty" and "Fancy". Ugh... actual album sales are meaningless now.

It was still inside the top 100, so the album is still performing well.

Chart run: 6 - 24 - 42 - 53 - 42
Thanks for that. Can you tell me where you got that chart position from, or where it is this week? (it's out of the top 50) :(

France SNEP:
106 (106) 9 The Pale Emperor
I'm surprised it's not higher. It was hovering around 50-60 for most of the week on French iTunes.

I'm not too disappointed, though. Because with this chart position, The Pale Emperor has equaled The High End of Low's number of weeks on album charts, according to aCharts. And keep in mind, back in 2009, they included the Mexican albums chart - which they don't anymore. THEOL = major label; TPE = indie labels. So I'd say this has done well. 8-)

US Current Albums:
Marilyn Manson, The Pale Emperor (Loma Vista) #96, 2,975 sold
Nearly at the 100,000 mark.

Unexpected rise, but very cool. One more week in the top 40 and it matches Eat Me, Drink Me (2007). :D Still selling more on week 9 than a bloody Madonna album on week 3.

Marilyn Manson, The Pale Emperor (Loma Vista) #122, 2,525 sold
This is just under 100,000 sold, and it’ll certainly sell more by the time Mr. Manson comes around on tour.

Great move to do a co-headlining tour with The Smashing Pumpkins. It's one thing to tour your own fan base, it's another to do this sort of thing: Manson promoting his album to SP fans, SP promoting their album to Manson's. And they're decent sized venues (5-10k). Hopefully that'll give the album a nice little boost come July. :)

99,344 in "pure" sales.

Slipknot, .5: The Grey Chapter (Roadrunner) #152, 2,500 sold
A tiny boost of 4%.

Marilyn Manson, The Pale Emperor (Loma Vista) #153, 2,500 sold
Now over 100,000 copies sold

A 1% drop in sales from last week. If that ain't stable, I don't know what is.

101,844 in "pure" sales.

With Slipknot at #152 on Current Albums and Manson at #153 on the same chart, with probably just a couple of copies between them, I'm going ahead and calling Manson @ #51 on Billboard Rock Albums, since Slipknot are at #50 there. 17 new entries this week - so hopefully it re-enters next week.

Total = 103,869

I'm hoping this gets to 120k before it leaves the Current Albums Chart. That way, it's sure to pass The High End Of Low's total.
