Positions are going to be ALOT lower than the WILD EP but hopefully sales will be around the same :D A position around #35 in the UK would probably mean he has sold more than the EP despite that going #5

He never should've released the record in December. I doubt he cares about chart positions -- he made a great album -- but as we know physical sales as so high during the Christmas selling season and without them Blue Neighbourhood will suffer. In my HMV they had no copies stocked at the front of their store, and a very poor amount in his artist section. He's gonna have like 80-90% worth of his units being digital.

Yes, me too.

His fanbase could have pre-ordered the album from his store. It's gonna be unrealistically high in tomorrow's midweek update (if MintRoyale gives us any information  ). and it will plummet throughout the remainder of the week. :( I'm still expecting about 20k, though... That should put it somewhere in between 20-25; if he's lucky, he might scrape the top twenty?

I wonder if the deal he has makes it impossible for him to sell CDs in stores?

He might have some good streaming points though. It's #4 on U.S. iTunes.

Bought the exclusive Target edition.

There was a reasonable number of copies in my location (Florida, USA). Truth be told, the CD section had been designation to one side of a row . Hoping this album can cruise to a top 5 debut in the US, but I'll settled with another top 10.

I'm going to Target tomorrow, I think. I'm gonna check if there's still a few copies... they ain't ish for shortening their CD aisle but they have more albums than Wal-Mart and Wal-Mart is the devil lol

Loved the album after a few streams. Hopefully I'll be able to get it in stores tomorrow! :D

Love mojority if not all all his songs. I never knew he was that famous on Youtube i just came across Happy Little Pill last year? or two years ago-ish... Had no clue who he was.

I feel Troye and Years & Years are some of the best new artists who deserve huge success. Hope the album does well. Happy Little Pill and Wild did okay here in NZ considering him being quite unknown.

Yep, he's quite popular. His initial videos when he started posting YouTube videos in 2007 when he was 13 (I think) was mainly him singing. After a while he started doing regular blogs about stuff and his popularity grew from there. He was able to do a few indie "coming of age" movies in Australia, I think. He began to get serious about his music around the time he began doing songs like "Happy Little Pill" and such, which was actually a little popular in the US though he only released a digital-only EP at the time.

But yeah he and Years & Years definitely deserve big success, no doubt about it!

Troye Sivan (Capitol) 45-50k, 50-55k

The exact same predictions they gave for the WILD EP

I thought that with this being a full-length album more people would be interested, but I guess that he's got a strong fanbase who bought both the EP and the record, and it's not appealing to many more outside of that said fanbase, which isn't surprising, but a bit disappointing.

So he signed with Capitol for the record outside Australia? Interesting... I imagine most of the sales are digital.
