lol you clearly don't understand it right now.nympho wrote:^
Seriously, this is ridiculous.
Don’t know if this is a maths problem, a language problem or that you don’t know how streaming works.
It was YOU who accused HDD of “fake maths” (and now you’re doing it again) and took those 250 million and multiply them by 18, that is, the number of songs on the album, so you had a result of more than 4 billion.
Then I told you that’s not how it works. 250 million (or 306 for Lemonade) are the number of streams of all songs combined. Not each one of them. So what were you doing multiplying by 18?
I did the maths for you (twice). It’s pretty simple, not rocket science.
And now you come to tell medo you really think Tidal mean it whole album 18track streamed 250m each? as over 4b?
Really. I’m done with this discussion.
when HDD said 3m user need to listen kanye album 8 times a day for 10 days, they mean it as listening to whole album. 250m times, not the all the song combined.
and this is why I said their math is wrong and they manipulated the situation.
now you came at me with "they're right.", but here you're saying.. they're combined and math is fine... lol
let's go back to your comment.
"250 million streams of the album / 3 million suscribers = 83.3 times each suscriber in 10 days. That is, each and every one of those 3 million suscribers worldwide streamed (average of) 8.3 times a day the album. "
you really don't see the problem here...? with thinking "the number of streams of all songs combined."??
kanye album (originally) had 18 tracks, so when you said 3m user streamed 8.3 times a day the album, = 3m x 18 x 8.3 = 448.2m combined stream.
in your post, it's not 8.3 times a day the album. it's 3m user listen to 8.3 track from his album a day for 10 days. huge difference.
here is original quote.
our rough calculation is that 3m goes into 250m about 80 times. Which means that every single one of Tidal's paid subscribers have played Pablo in its entirety eight times a day every day for 10 days.”
