Dancing back to getting Dark Green updates in the UK.

16 Kylie Minogue - Dancing 0.2249
107 Kylie Minogue - Dancing (Illyus & Barrientos Remix) 0.0160*
168 Kylie Minogue - Dancing (Initial Talk Remix) 0.090*

Combined: #15 0.2499
To be honest, we are in week 7 for a Kylie song and she is still Top 15 on iTunes..... That is AMAZING.

Loving this longevity! If we were still in 2014, this would've been top 10 overall for her so I class it as a bigger hit than Into The Blue.

Shame it's now left the Top50 on iTunes for Australia though.
However it did have a decent run.

UK iTunes

18 Kylie Minogue - Dancing 0.2041
105 Kylie Minogue - Dancing (Illyus & Barrientos Remix) 0.0160*

Combined: Combined #16 0.2201

100% agree with this! I would deem it a much bigger hit then ITB.

There is such a bigger buzz around her ATM - and I think they will reflect her album sales as well.

Kylie is potentially heading for another 5-7k sale week, which means her total UK sales will be around 35-37k. I am fairly confident that when all is said and done by the time the album is released, she will have a silver certification for Dancing which is fantastic!

+ also if its important, Kylie is #1 on the club chart in the UK.

I don’t know if maybe you got confused with Silver certification for albums (60k), but Silver for songs is 200k copies in UK.

I highly doubt this will ever reach 200k copies.

^ Yes sorry Nympho. I got my certs wrong and was thinking it was 60k haha.

Yeah most likely won't reach 200k worth of sales.

UK iTunes:

21 Kylie Minogue - Dancing 0.1500
Remix 1 #144 United Kingdom 0.050*
Remix 2 #169 United Kingdom 0.040*
Most likely #20 combined. It's starting to lose it's steam a bit with quite a number of large red updates after each other. However I suppose if single #2 is due in less then 2 weeks, then we shouldn't be concerned. Shame that Dancing might be done though (but it did great in my eyes).

Dancing

iTunes:
#20 United Kingdom
#48 Germany
#49 Denmark
#53 Australia

#102 Ireland
#144 United Kingdom
#169 United Kingdom
#198 Ireland

From what I’ve heard, the reason some radio stations took ‘Dancing’ off their playlists is because they are excited for the next single ‘Stop Me From Falling’ to perform better, and will push that one more!

Is this in the UK? or Aus? or somewhere else?

Well I mean, in the UK it was A listed on Radio 2 for almost 4-5 weeks which is great! So maybe it was taken off instead of being downgraded to B or C list, however I'm not sure that would even be the case + we are still about 2 weeks away from the new single.

And it only just got added to Heart Radio so unless their plan was to only play it for 1-2 weeks and then add the new one.

As i mentioned before, Aus radio were amazing this time round and took a chance playing Dancing (which they usually wouldn't do for a 50 y.o female), which allowed it to really build up some great moment. It had a great chance to out peak ITB on the charts, but she did absolutely nothing in AUS promo wise. So we can only assume she didn't care about a first single performance.

We will wait and see if Aus radio will give her the same grace now with a second single, esp if she isn't going to do any promo again within AUS and only focus on the UK and certain European markets (France, Germany, Spain etc).

Kylie is still holding well on iTunes @ #22.

If I'm being 100% honest here, I expected it to be sinking faster and be around the 30-40 mark today. But I'm so glad the song seems to be connecting with more people.

This does bold well for a second single :D

On Sayhey people are talking about that Kylie has been spotted in the Spotify HQ. Maybe this is her label attempting to get playlist status this time? 8-)

I'm sorry if this has been discussed a lot before but I still don't entirely understand (and I just want to make sure I get it)

With song streams and it counting towards an album unit 'sale'.

So in Australia - 1,500 streams = 1 album unit to be counted as a 'sale'

So Dancing has 728,875 currently for dancing (only in AUS).

So does this mean 728k / 1,500 = 485 units. So in Kylie's debut week when Golden is released, she will have (so far) 485 album 'sales' from streaming added to her total number in that week?

nope, only the streams the tracks get in a week are counted as album sales that week. pre-release streams dont count as sales (they possibly count for certifications but i think thats only the case with riaa in the usa)

Ahhhh ok gotcha!

So what ever each individual song gets stream wise (the number), will be added all together.

So just as an example - if all 10 tracks of an album got 10,000 streams in AUS. That would equal 100k which then would get divided by 1,500 to determine how many albums count as a 'stream' sale?
