^The real question is really not about an album that was released 24 years ago tho.
I really want Caution to get more attention and love that it deserves. It is just too good to be overseen like it.

i don't care about Caution's sales when she is currently slaying the charts with another album. The most important thing is that she is ON the charts... the content ain't matter.

I knew from the beginning that people will flock in here saying sht about her... her status, career, legacy... combine all three and conclude she hasn't been that big to begin with...

but who cares when her christmas music dominates the charts every year and adds significant exposure and volumes to her totals? In the end it is all about who can reach 250 million records sold and Mariah is currently racing towards it.

Nope. This is Mariah’s 15th studio album after a 28 year career with more success than most other women ever. So no one beyond a few stans of other flopping, much younger and less successful “divas” expected anything from Caution.

It doesn’t matter if you’re 1 year or 28 years in your career, maybe instead of jumping to the defensive (like you always do) actually answer what brainmaniac wrote, advise him/her which big diva has had a bigger flop era.

Answer what. He didn't ask a question. He made a statement. They have clearly stated why they disagree. What more do you want? You're always so negative. It's unnecessary.

I'm not a fan of Xtina. Caution is a great flop. Is a lie?

I was literally calling out some else’s negativity but ok. I didn’t say they asked a question.

I’m not being negative, Caution has done exactly as well as I expected it too, the album may have bombed but she got another #1 RnB album which is something.

Steevy, I haven’t seen a level of unproffesionism from a moderator like you since the Caution era started and I’ve been here longer than pretty much everyone and seen basically everyone that has come and gone.

Like I said, unprofessional. Wayne called you out on it two weeks ago. Maybe Moderators shouldn’t be moderating artists they Stan for?.

Why does it take the US so long to release their charts? It’s pathetic.

Anyway, Caution is definitely a huge flop as of now. If she can somehow scrape 100K SPS in the US, I’ll retract that.

And this thread is for Caution, not Merry Christmas.

So the difference between a flop and a success is the difference between 50k and 100k? Jeez, what has the music business come to!?

Meanwhile, With You continues to hang in there through the Christmas freeze out. I'm curious to see what happens to this song in January. It took a hit in today's UAC update. Is Christmas finally showing up on this chart?

Yeah... NO!
No one has to 'answer' what he/she said, because they didn't ask a question. They made a statement, and statements don't require answers. That's pretty simple to understand, I would have thought.

Also, in a thread about Caution, no one HAS to answer a comment about which diva had a bigger flop, because this thread is about Mariah and we can't answer without going off topic. Also, that poster doesn't dictate what is discussed in a Mariah thread when ALL they talk about is how she is apparently flopping. Sad you can't see that.

Don't for a second pretend that comment or statement was made with no intention of being inflammatory. Saying Caution is a flop is one thing. Saying it's the biggest diva flop is INVITING comparisons, trolling and off-topic conversation.

if a flop means Mariah can still chart every xmas unlike your fav then I'll take it over everything. Mariah can flop all she wants at least her total album sales keep going up, we aint bitter. Merry Christmas is still a part of Mariah Carey's albums and its charting with a smash single. We see the bitter haters

Mariah shouldn't release music close to Christmas period because her new music will always be overshadowed by her Christmas album and songs. She didn't benefit from Q4 sales as well so she'd at least get better peaks with a Q1-Q2 release date.
Mariah saved Xmas and Gaga is saving Pop and Hollywood.
