SA stays at # 1 again in UK with 52,146 :D

Also, i just found the following article at www.undercover.com.au/news/2004/20040127_sales.html
1st week Australian sales were a whopping 52,800 !...

Red Hot Chili Peppers Biggest of 06...So Far

by Paul Cashmere

May 22 2006

Red Hot Chili Peppers ‘Stadium Arcadium’ is the fastest selling album of 2006 so far in Australia.

‘Stadium Arcadium’ sold a massive 52,800 units in it’s first week, beating Human Nature’s ‘Reach Out’ at number two with sales of 15,090 although with ‘Reach Out’ already 28 weeks into the chart, Human Nature have the biggest selling album of 2006 so far.

Although the Chili Peppers put in a magnificent first week effort, ‘Stadium Arcadium’ fell short of Human Nature’s Christmas week sales figure of 58,147 and just behind Il Divo’s Christmas week figure of 52,842.

‘Stadium Arcadium’ also topped the year’s previous first week best seller, ‘10,000 Days’ by Tool, which sold 39,278 on the May 8th chart.

‘Stadium Arcadium’ is now number one in 27 countries including Israel, Argentina, Finland, Slovenia, Czech Republic, South Africa and Greece.

The band will start their world tour in Barcelona, Spain on May 30th.

In New Zealand :

Wednesday May 24 2006
By Andrew Miller

The Red Hot Chili Peppers blitz all newcomers with the biggest opening sales-week of 2006. Stadium Arcadium blasts its way to #1 in its first week out. It betters Tool’s 10,000 Days from two weeks ago, quite remarkable for a higher-priced 28 song 2CD set. The Chili’s also lead the UK, US and Australian Album lists this week. Lead single Dani California leaps 21 places to occupy #7 on the Singles chart and sits at #4 on the RadioScope100.

This is a problem of the server, I can do nothing, only wait until it is resolved (this is the third time that this happen in 1 year, this is resolved in a few hours generally).
