A few Weeks ago I heard that 'One of Us' was also going to feature in 'Mamma Mia! 2'.

I wanted to 'collect' a couple more rumoured Songs, before I added 'One Of Us' here.

So, today I have 3 'fresh' ABBA Songs, that are said to be included in the Film:,

A)... One Of Us
B)... As Good As New
C)... If It Wasn't For The Nights

I'm pretty sure that 'As Good As New' would have been a No.1 UK, (& German), Single,
in 1979, but ABBA left it on 'Voulez-Vous'.

I also love 'If It Wasn't For The Nights', which would also have been a huge Hit Single
in 1979. Indeed, ABBA had planned to release it as the 1st 'Voulez-Vous' Single, but they
then decided on 'Chiquitita' instead. (Either way, I feel that it would have made a far better
ABBA Single than 'Does Your Mother Know', which was not a big UK & German Hit - No.4 here
& No.10 in Germany. Even No.4 was an average result for ABBA, (UK), at that stage of their
Career).

LILY JAMES -- (THE YOUNG 'DONNA') -- SHE CAN REALLY SING

Apart from Cher, it is a relief that Lily James can also really sing. She has a lovely voice.
So, that is another welcome relief - that we are not to see ABBA Songs totally 'murdered' by
all of the Actors in 'Mamma Mia 2' - just by some of them!

Lily played Cinderella in the 2015 Film of the same name. She sang 'A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes',
which was originally included in Walt Disney's 1950 Cartoon Film of 'Cinderella'. I was very relieved - and
surprised - to hear that Lily's voice is so good.

'A DREAM IS A WISH YOUR HEART MAKES' -- LILY JAMES -- ('CINDERELLA' -- 2015)

It would be great to have 'As Good as New' in the film, it has always been overlooked on compilation albums.

Universal have just released the 2nd trailer for 'Mamma Mia! 2'. As with the 1st Trailer, they are trying to make the
viewers think that Donna, (Meryl Streep), is dead in the Film. This has created a big fuss - among Fans of the 1st
Film. Many are saying that Film 2 is 'ruined' if Donna/Meryl is dead in it. Some say that they will 'boycott' Film 2,
if Donna/Meryl has been killed off.

I suspect that Donna/Meryl is in Film 2 & that Universal are trying to make out that she is dead in order to stir
up hype, fuss & - most of all - publicity.

As Film 2 is both a Prequel & Sequel to Film 1, the younger Donna - Lily James - is in the Prequel scenes. It is
whether Donna/Meryl is in the Sequel scenes, that is causing a fuss. Someone has pointed out, that as Meryl
is mentioned in the Cast of Film 2, she cannot be dead in it. That is not a certain thing. They could just show
her in 'Flashbacks' from Film 1. Personally, I think that it is a all a publicity stunt & that Meryl Streep is in Film 2
- with brand new scenes - & not in 'Flashback' scenes from Film 1.

THE 1st & 2nd 'MAMMA MIA! 2' TRAILERS TOGETHER - STARTING WITH THE 2nd ONE

As you can hear, 'Angel Eyes' is in the 2nd Trailer. It is the only ABBA Song - so far - that was not in Film 1.
You can also hear, that while the harmonies & music sound fine, they've got someone who cannot sing
doing the vocals. It does not mean that they do all of the vocals, but there is no way that, that person
can sing. (It sounds like Julie Walters to me. She murdered 'Take A Chance On Me' in Film 1).

A 'New' 'Mamma Mia! 2' Trailer was shown during The Grammy Awards, on Sunday 28th January.

You see part of Cher's performance of 'Fernando' in it.

I find it amusing, how a lot of people who dislike ABBA & who hated the 1st 'Mamma Mia!' Film,
are saying that the 2nd Film is going to flop/bomb - just because they dislike it!

Just as in 2008, people were insisting that the 1st Film would flop, because it was 'crap' & ABBA
are 'rubbish'. It ended up becoming the biggest ever Film in the UK, selling endless Millions on
DVD & CD & getting 'ABBA Gold' to No.1 - for the 5th time - in the UK. (In November 2008, the
DVD of the Film was released and it sold almost 1,670,000 in one day, in the UK!!!).

So, people who dislike the 2nd Film, & who dislike ABBA, will have Zero say in whether it is a success!
Just as was the case with the 1st 'Mamma Mia!' Film. (I'm not a Fan of either Film, but I'm not so silly,
as to say they would 'bomb' & 'flop', just because I'm not keen on them!).

I believe that The OCC have yet to reveal the UK's Top 100 Albums of 2017.

However, someone has estimated 2017's Top 100 UK Albums.

He has 'ABBA Gold' in 77th place, with 91,000 UK Sales.

It is the 16th time that it has been in the UK's Year End Top 100 Albums. That is an all time
record. It will also be in the Top 100 UK Albums for 2018 - its 17th Year End Top 100 entry.

'ABBA Gold' has now sold at least 5,400,000 UK copies. Some say that it is on over 5,600,000
UK Sales. Even with 5,400,000 UK Sales, it should be given an 18th UK Platinum Award by now.
The B.P.I. still have it on 17 Platinum Awards - for 5,100,000 UK Sales.

91,000 if true would be good - the highest since 2011. Amazing isn't it still selling 25 years after release

I have just heard that 'On and On and On' will also be in 'Mamma Mia! 2'. (It was called 'One and One and One', in the Article that revealed this! The Article also said that it is from 'ABBA - The Album'! I've corrected the Article & said that no such ABBA Track exists, that they mean 'On and On and On' and that it is from the 'Super Trouper' Album).

So now we know of 5 'Mamma Mia! 2' Songs that were on 'More ABBA Gold' - 'When I Kissed The Teacher', 'I Wonder (Departure)', 'Summer Night City', 'Angel Eyes' and 'On and On and On'. Plus the remaining Tracks off 'ABBA Gold', that were not in the 1st Film - 'Fernando', 'Knowing Me, Knowing You', 'The Name Of The Game', (which was cut from Film 1), and 'One Of Us'. Then we also have various Album Tracks in the 2nd Film. As well as Film 1 Songs that are used again - such as 'Mamma Mia' & 'Dancing Queen'.

I think that Film 2 will be a big surprise, to many who see it. A great many people only know 20 to 30 ABBA Songs, & they think that 'everything' was used in Film 1. I've seen many people saying that. They think that Film 2 is going to be Songs from Film 1, with only 'Fernando' & 'Angel Eyes' being 'fresh'. So, they are in for a shock, when they hear several ABBA Songs that they never knew existed.
Those less well known 'Mamma Mia! 2' ABBA Album Tracks include: 'I've Been Waiting For You', 'Why Did it Have To Be Me?', 'As Good
As New', 'If It Wasn't For The Nights' and 'Kisses Of Fire'. (in 1979 ABBA almost released 'If It Wasn't For The Nights', as their 1st Single
off the 'Voulez Vous' Album. Then they changed their minds & released 'Chiquitita' instead).

I've been told that 'Bang-A-Boomerang' has now been added to the 'List', of ABBA Songs, that are to be
in 'Mamma Mia! 2'. I know that the Song is rather 'silly', but I have liked it since I first heard it, in 1976, when I
bought ABBA's 'Greatest Hits' Album. It is good that Benny & Bjorn have allowed so many catchy ABBA Songs,
to be used in the 2nd Film. It matters not, that many people will not know a lot of the Songs, when they go to the
Cinema in July & August. The Songs are very easy to recall the words to, so it will not harm the Box Office, (at all),
that several Songs will be 'new', to a great many people, who go to see the Film. (After all, every Track on 'ABBA Gold',
was 'new' to ABBA Fans, when they first heard them. Every ABBA Album Track, in Film 2, was also 'new', when those
ABBA Studio Albums 1st came out. I doubt if most Fans of 'Grease' had heard most, (if any), of the Songs in it, when
that Film came out, in 1978. I certainly knew none of them. 'Grease', was still a huge success, and the Soundtrack
sold Millions, around the World).

When the 2nd Film is released, there will not be an ABBA Compilation to match the Songs in it. I'm hoping that Universal,
(and Benny & Bjorn), realize this, and allow an ABBA Compilation to come out, with all of the Songs in Film 2.

Some ABBA Fans are expecting Film 2 to cause 'ABBA Gold' to take off again, but that only contains about 8 or 9 of the Songs
in it. Even 'More ABBA Gold' 'only' contains about 5 of the Songs from Film 2 - there may be more, when we know every ABBA
Song that is in the Film No Global ABBA Compilation contains the rest of the Film 2 Songs. Such as: 'I've Been Waiting For You',
'Bang-A-Boomerang', 'Why Did It Have To Be Me?', 'As Good As New', 'If It Wasn't For The Nights' and 'Kisses Of Fire'.

It will be rather sad, if the 2nd Film, only raises the Sales of 'ABBA Gold', when more than half of the other ABBA Songs in it are
not even on that Compilation. It will be a lost chance, for Universal to make a big impact, with a Compilation that better mirrors
what is actually sung in the 2nd Film.

I agree with a new compilation. Not a Mamma Mia 2 one rather a more Gold 2.

No point having Gold songs in Mamma Mia 2. Instead have songs from Mamma Mia 1 and 2 not on Gold so including When All is Said and Done and Slipping Through My Fingers as well as So Long, Bang a Boomerang, Kisses of Fire, As Good as New etc and of course a couple of classics Eagle and The Day Before You Came.

Nameless - Yes, there really should be an ABBA Compilation, to match the Songs in 'Mamma Mia! 2'. We had that Triple Disk
'ABBA Gold', in 2014, which had 'ABBA Gold' + 'More Gold', + 20 'B' Sides. However, even the Disk, with 20 'B' Sides on it, only
has two of the less well known 'Mamma Mia! 2' Tracks on it. Those two Songs being: 'I've Been Waiting For You' and 'Kisses
Of Fire'. There should be an ABBA Compilation, that far better 'mirrors' what is in Film 2. It is time, that the many ABBA Songs,
that are not on 'ABBA Gold', got the attention that they deserve. Instead of the 19 Songs, on 'ABBA Gold', forever being
'highlighted'.
