Abba's US sales tally must top 30 million.
What about Abba ORO, thank you for the music box set (4 disc), the albums box set (9 disc).
Then there's all the DVD sales.

The OCC, publish several UK Album Charts on Friday's.

Here is where ABBA Gold is in today's UK Charts - Week Ending 23rd June.

ABBA Gold is at No.63, in the 'Main', (Artist), Album Chart. It is up from
No.78. It is its 503rd Top 75 Week & 741st Top 100 Week. Both are still
'All Time' UK Album Chart Records. (Gold really has 743 Top 100 Weeks,
as The OCC miss out 2 No.77 Positions - from 1993 & 1994).

In the Sales, (only), UK Album Chart, Gold is at No.51. It is at No.50 in the Scotland
only Album Chart & also at No.50 in the Downloads Chart. It is at No.70 in the Physical
Chart.

Mamma Mia! (Soundtrack), is up from No.8 to No.6 in the Soundtracks Top 50. It is its
415th Week in that Chart.

Please could someone explain what the 11 digit number, (starting with 73) means. Also, how many weeks has Abba gold been on the Billboard top 200?

I just found out something about the way NME and Melody Maker compiled their charts. They weren't actual sales. Instead they would contact shops in their sample and ask them to give a list of best sellers. It was rankings not sales - and there was no weighting so a shop in a rural area would count same as shop in urban area with much more sales.
In other words, take no notice of those charts!

UK Albums Chart

30 (75) ABBA - Gold (2,456 sales)

Alan Jones wrote:Two more members of the 3m sales club - Abba's Gold: Greatest Hits (75-30, 2,456 sales) and Queen's Greatest Hits (72-39, 2,090 sales) - jump back into the Top 40. They are the top two albums in the OCC's newly-unveiled all-time album chart and, naturally, feature prominently in the chart provider's 60th birthday celebration promotion at over 600 retail outlets, which also lifts sales of several other albums in the current chart.

It looks like the 2016, (July 29th), Arrival will simply be the same 'Deluxe' version that we got in 2006.

It may be in a 'Jewel Case'. We will see.

Link:,

The 4 Arrival connected Singles will be re-issued - on 7 Inch Vinyl - on 7th October.
That's Fernando, Dancing Queen, Money Money Money & Knowing Me, Knowing You.

In October or November, Arrival will be re-issued in 3 Formats - Vinyl, CD & CD + DVD.

We will see if we get a note of unreleased Music on any of them. You can only get away
with releasing the SOS, (Same Old Songs), for So Long. Most of the ABBA Fans, that I
know, have no intentions of buying anything by ABBA again until there is something
that we don't already have in the actual Music.

German TV channel VOX will show the 'Mamma Mia' movie tonight, followed by a special about ABBA. This will probably make 'Gold' re-enter the German chart next week.

Thanks Colin, great news about the UK!

'ABBA Gold' never dies on iTunes' Worldwide Album Chart either. It's currently at both numbers 43 & 45 - listed as 'ABBA Gold Greatest Hits' and as 'ABBA Gold'. If you add their points together it would be at number 12 (6175 pts).

http://kworb.net/aww/

On iTunes' all-time list, 'Gold' is at number 6 (9,351,531 pts), number 498 (667,897 pts), number 4505 (91,178 pts) and number 4696 (87,448 pts). If you add all the points together then the total of 10,198,054 points would put it in third place after Adele's '21' and Daft Punk's 'Random Access Memories'. In contrast to 'Gold', the other albums in the top 10 are all listed only once in the list.
