I would assume it will do at least as well in Italy as it has done in Spain. (Italy larger population)

Spain 11/2/2018 $3,232,897 $16,400,000 11/26/20184

At the same time I am surprised that it is doing better in France then Germany considering Germany has always been a stronger market and has a larger population ( although FRANCE AND ALGERIA, MONACO, MOROCCO AND TUNISIA is accounted for in the France number and the reference period is longer)

France 11/2/2018 $8,099,47 $23,400,000 11/26/2018
Germany11/2/2018 $5,590,96 $14,035,742 11/23/201

After burner
Last no $17.2m in Germany,

It's also opening in its last market, South Africa the day after Italy, the 30th November although it looks like it's market is quite small so not much potential for revenue there. It would have been good for a China release but only so many Western films are allowed to release there every year and Bohemian Rhapsody obviously didn't make the cut!

Looking at it worldwide total at the moment the overseas total has gone up slightly to $328,959,585 and with a US total up to Tuesday of $154,418,316 the total is now:

$483,377,901. It will be above $500 million easily by next Monday.

reviews are very good in france. Many people have seen the movie twice. Their career in france is not as consistent as in germany with up and downs, but they achieved major success on a few occasions

I think it should do quite well in Italy. I'll go for 6 million dollars as it has a 4 day weekend opening. I might be way out. I'm going for 545 million globally by Monday morning.

Yes, the prediction for the weekend is that it can reach 5 or 6,000,000 €. Yesterday the biopic débuted with more than 800,000 € and it is easily the number 1.

I'll be less optimistic, and I projecting around 530-535 millions, after this weekend.
On the other hand, it's still very optimistic, comparing what most of people predicted :)

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, Michael Bublé and Queen, all for the # 1 in the USA in albums

Fight closed in the United States by the top this week in albums, the non-exit of any relevant disc, makes 4 albums can be # 1. Lady Gaga with Bradley Cooper and A Star is Born, is the one that at the moment has more possibilities, 59,000 equivalent units could have. In # 2 Love by Michael Bublé with 51,000 units. We already said it last week, the record would keep well, and will have options to be # 1 in a couple of weeks.

In # 3 we would find Christmas by Michael Bublé, who with his classic and 48,000 would have some option to be # 1 again, it was in 2011 and 2012. Queen with the soundtrack of Bohemian Rhapsody is right now in the forecasts with 46,000 units, but very close to Pentatonix with Christmas is here! that with 45,000 has remote possibilities of being top 3.

Drake with Scorpion would keep the # 6 with 39,000 units, in low sales even more important streaming, and there Drake wins by a landslide. In # 7 Lil Baby and Gunna with 37,000 units would keep within the top 10, with Travis Scott and Astroworld with 37,000 units and Trippie Redd with A love letter to you 3 with 35,000 units. Post Malone with Beerbongs & Bentleys would be # 10 with 35,000 units.

Everything could turn around in the last days, more data on Saturday, final Sunday courtesy of Billboard.

I thought with all the publicity around the film that Queen would see some new album certifications/re-certifications in the US.

Greatest Hits is surely at least diamond now - the last certification was 12 years ago and it's been in the charts for years since then - plus with all the SEA/digital singles equivalent sales God knows what it's on - it's the same with The Platinum Collection as well. Maybe some of the other studio albums could also do with more awards?

After 2 weeks at no 2 behind FB on the list of most visited movie titles borhap is back heading the chart.
According to Fridays cinema numbers it has past 725,000 visitors.

https://deadline.com/2018/11/bohemian-r ... 202511821/

As 20th Century Fox/New Regency/GK Films’ Bohemian Rhapsodycontinues its supersonic trajectory, the Freddie Mercury biopic will today cross the $500 million mark worldwide. Through Thursday, the movie has hit $156.3M domestic and $341.5M at the international box office for a global running cume of $497.8M. And don’t stop it now, with sing-along screenings being added across the globe and Italy just bowing, the Queen backstory looks to be on a collision course with $600M.

This is another win for Fox with an end-of-year musical that’s showing great legs after 2017’s The Greatest Showman. Overseas, some of the numbers are staggering on the $55M-budget pic which has fans new and old energized. Korea, which has seen week-on-week gains, is already at a phenomenal $40.2M, while the UK leads all play at $52.5M. The sing-along version has been a huge hit across Asia and Latin America — the latter just reaching $50M regionally for the film overall — and will roll out over the holidays in Europe and continue to play into the new year.

In North America, the film opened to $51M in early November and offshore bowed to $74.8M that same weekend, although the UK had opened one week earlier. That was after a massive world premiere at London’s Wembley Stadium, site of the band’s legendary Live Aid performance. The premiere was attended by 7,000 people and live-streamed into 11 countries on 151 screens in partnership with Odeon. That alone generated over $200K in box office.

Behind the UK and Korea, the Top 5 is currently rounded out by Japan($24.9M), France ($24.6M) and Australia ($21.5M). Those numbers are all through Thursday.

Offshore, Italy bowed on Thursday to $900K for the 2nd biggest opening day of the year. We’ll be back this weekend with more on this rising Mercury.

20th Century Fox’s Bohemian Rhapsody earned another $2.26 million (-57%) on its fourth Friday to set the stage for an $8.3 million (-41%) weekend and $164.4m domestic total. It’ll pass $500m worldwide tomorrow (if it hasn’t already) while also passing the $161m unadjusted gross of Straight Outta Compton ($161m in 2015) to become the biggest musical biopic of all time. It’s still looking like an over/under $185m domestic finish, unless it gets Oscar attention, even as it flirts with $600m+ worldwide. Yes, the Freddie Mercury biopic is a monster hit for all parties and is certainly encouraging for Dexter Fletcher’s Rocket Man next May.

....Bohemian Rapsody (watch the video review) that crumbles the competition and scores a 1.7 million euro Saturday with over 220 thousand spectators. The film could pass the 5 million already today: the Italian market has aligned itself with the other world, rewarding the film, which has exceeded 500 million dollars and could close with over 700 million euros.

Also reads "In South Korea, gigantic success for Bohemian Rhapsody (watch the video review), which has reached 45 million dollars."
