i didn't found a topic for them, so i'll decided to start one, specially today cuz i bought "Eyes open" and i realized how big they are in Brasil because of the song "Open your eyes", wich it wasn't a hit anywhere else and here it's huge :o even my mom loves it lol

so... if anyone have more info, please share ;) btw, i would like them to release another single in the UK

USAToday.com:

Out of the gold crop, the weirdest award goes to Snow Patrol's Eyes Open, which is not only the band's first gold album but has sold more than a million copies (1.03 million). So where's the platinum award?

True. By the way, I don´t know if there are many fans of this group but I only know them by name. Are they a good band overall?.

US

Chart Alert:
Snow Patrol notches its highest charting album ever as "A Hundred Million Suns" debuts at No. 9 with 48,000. Digital downloads accounted for 52% of the set's first week sum, no doubt aided in part by Amazon.com's MP3 service, where the album was sale priced for only $3.99.

Billboard.com:

The Scottish/Irish rock band's previous best came with 2006's "Eyes Open," which peaked at No. 27 and went on to sell 1.16 million copies.
Chart Watch:

9. Snow Patrol, A Hundred Million Suns, 48,000. This new entry is the first top 10 album for the Scottish rock group. More than half of the albums (25,000) were sold digitally, largely because of a promotion at Amazon.com's MP3 service, where the album sold for just $3.99. Snow Patrol's previous highest-charting album was Eyes Open, which hit #27 in 2006. That album spawned "Chasing Cars," a top five hit on the Hot 100. "Crack The Shutters," from the new album, enters Hot Digital Songs at #74.
