man, that made me happy today :D

i was never a fan of them actually, i just liked some videos i saw through the years on MTV, but recently i saw the "In your honor" album for only R$12,90 and i had to bought it, just to see if i would like their sound (tough i always loved "Best of you" and "DOA")... and man, i love it!

i'm listenin' the album right now, and despite the 1st CD being a little bit "hard/heavy rock" for my standards lol i enjoy every track on it!

the only problem is that the album is too short for a double release ¬¬ but one thing i like is that despite the sound being a lil' bit harded than what i'm used to hear, i don't get tired of hearing the tracks, their not too long, with huge heavy guitar/drums solos that i usually don't like, they just have a perfect length and sound :D Dave's voice and vocals is also one thing i really appreciate, either in slow or faster tracks

now i just have to know more of their work 8-)

back to the charts, i hope someone can find out for us the Soundscan total for all their albums

plus i hope "Echoes" becomes a succes like their last album or even bigger, like the 1st week in the UK gives us some hope that it does!

I hope so, it will outsell what Blunt managed last week! A good album too (the FF not Blunt!).

This is REALLY strange :
- last album (In Your Honor) sold 310,500 in first week in USA
- last album wasn't a flop for sure
- the first single is n.1 on modern rock tracks (i think around 5 weeks but i'm not sure)..
- as always Foo Fighters have a good promotions and airplay.

The 310,000 figure was matybe due to the doubla album effect. And that brings the first week sales of "In Yor Honor" to 155,000. Am I right ?

Predictions could be inaccurate sometimes, like Reba did this week(from 200k to 300k).Let's just hope HDD underestimate it.I was hoping for 350k and I'm totally wrong lol.

my lil' contribution for this thread... i believe "Echoes" can be their highest-charting album in many countries!

also, doin' this research, i was kinda surprised they didn't had much success worldwide, outside the US/UK/Aussie! maybe i had the impression they were bigger cuz i always saw their videos on MTV Brasil
