First release to spend more than one week at #1 since Oui Mais... Non in 2010.
Can't wait for the album in November!

"Insondables", 2nd single from the album released today.

iTunes
#2 France (behind Adele)
#15 Belgium
#36 Switzerland

Seriously, wtf are they thinking releasing this on a Wednesday, so just 2 days of sales for this week?

There is 5 days for the sales. French's charts are from monday to sunday. So, release a new song today doesn't change many things.

No, the French charts now go Friday-Thursday like everywhere else (except Japan & South Korea).

Oh thank you. I didn't know that they changed the rules . French charts were still from monday to sunday in April.

No matter for Mylène. She will have her peak position this week and not next week (before the physical release).

Perhaps that it won't experience such a big second week drop. A wise strategy, I reckon.
A number one followed by a 50-spots worth drop is pretty worthless anyway.

I don't think so... It's all about the peaks for Mylène and getting more #1s and consecutive Top 10s.

A #1 makes headlines... you won't see any headline about the single dropping 1-52...

This wouldn't have been #1 anyway because of Adele... but, with a full week, it would have been Top 10. And unless they release a physical single later, it'll be her 1st single not Top 10 since 1997...

Is Insondables the official 2nd single or just a buzz release similar to the videos for Leila supporting Bleu Noir in 2010 and Quand supporting Monkey Me in 2012?

When is the album out?
Unlike other things that wither, she preserves. She’s a constant in a world of relentless flux. She’s a beacon of immortality. Bitch, she’s Madonna.

Maybe THAT will make some headlights
She's had so many short-lived Top 10's that one more or less wouldn't have made any difference at all.

To be honest though, single sales are in the absolute pits in France so a high peak might actually mean more than a bit more longevity in the charts, promotion-wise.

So that's two consecutive weeks where the #1 album sold more than 100k. I always love Q4 in France 8-)

Wow! She actually increased from her releases since 2008 to Monkey Me :o

Huge first week for Monkey Me and even better than her 2005 album? I had no idea.

Shame more people bought that album cause this new one is so much better :-?

Still, this woman has no hit songs being played at the radios right now, she barely does promotion...and yet she has this huge fanbase that always buys her stuff and sells out her shows. I love it! Maybe the fact she's so mysterious helps to this?

This album might sell more than many supposed WW female acts now that i think about it

Wonder if she'll chart in Canada thanks to Québec.

Two huge debuts above, and she beat Laura Pausini. Great entry overall!
