Exactly.Shayonce wrote:Nielsen, of course doesn't know or doesn't do WW number, so all those ww numbers are not official, but his opinion.
the writer said DIL sold "3 million digital singles, 2.5 million physical singles"(on twitter) which is false..
DIL sold 172,000 physical single in US, and sold like 5m digital single in US.
the writer clearly don't understand chart/sales well.
she sold 100k catalogue albums (DIL to Beyonce+EPs) in 2016 Jan.01 ~ June.30.
400k extra for B'day is nonsense. lol
SPS is for B'day is confusing tho.. as there's check on it which was released in #1 first, sold most of its sales in during #1 era.
also listen with dream girls sound track. 4.3m SPS could work with 3.4m sales and not counting check on it.
This is the same guy that published a list of the female best sellers with worldwide figures completely made up and using the US formula to calculate worldwide figures with SPS... and some people took it as official, when at the bottom you can read:

As you said, Soundscan doesn't publish worldwide sales so those figures are completely subjective. Maybe the US figures are right, although as you pointed out there are some strange things.
